Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has been handed an official release date on PS5. It launches on the 13th February, 2026.
This one has seemed inevitable for quite some time. PS5 age ratings for the game surfaced before it had even launched on Switch 2, Switch, and PC earlier this year, and more recently, the title's PS5 Trophy list was leaked.
As we've reported previously, this hybrid RPG combines exploration, town-building elements, character bonding, and slick action combat. It got really strong reviews on its original platforms, so if you haven't already played it, it'll be one to watch on PS5.

There's no doubt that it'll be releasing during a busy period, however. February's already got Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Nioh 3, Romeo Is a Dead Man, Yakuza Kiwami 3, Resident Evil Requiem, and Tales of Berseria Remastered. March is similarly packed, at the time of writing.

Definitely will play it at some point, but Trails Beyond the Horizon mid-January onwards followed by Dragon Quest 7 have priority
Since we're probably never getting a PS5 port of Harvestella, this will have to patch that hole in my heart
Looks very solid tbh.
There are way too many good JRPG lately! In terms of games originally released on Switch I wonder if (when?) Bravely 1/2 is also coming to other consoles as it seems SE is bent on publishing everything everywhere. I have yet to play the 2nd one but enjoyed the 2 3DS games.
February is kind of packed why drop it there
I Find it funny how they just Skipped porting 5 and went straight to this one.
I have it on original Switch, but I would like to try a demo on PS5 if they release one
Will it get a physical release?
