@lazarus11 if you play it on easy it’s an absolute joke in difficulty. The game even heals you on its own so you can pop that trophy by not using meds

@lazarus11 there’s a trophy for beating the game in 4 hours. To be at RPD in two you pretty much have to blitz everything, run past zombies, know the puzzles. I got it last night in 3 hours. Excellent game

@get2sammyb I think this tells us why the fans don’t want ps6, they haven’t earned the trust of a future console

I think that it doesn’t help that the first two years of the life of the ps5 was covid. That delayed everything (which is why we have all these great games coming out now), but it also made the console feel like we just got a ps4 pro-pro. Since most of the games in the early life were just ports and remasters. I mean, how can demon’s souls still be the best looking game on ps5 when it was a launch game. I love my ps5 and I feel like we are only scratching its potential. Add that it’s been hindered by the cross generation push, these incredible games get held back because of it, thus making it feel less of a new generation. “Oh what’s your new iPhone do? It has a third camera lens” it’s cool but until we get more from this machine I feel like it hasn’t earned its right to retire

I think it might be time that we start enjoying and maybe even embracing the fact that part of the TGA pie is the campiness and ads. Im not saying we cant criticize them but what about enjoying it a little bit. We didnt appreciate E3 until it was gone (last few years not withstanding)

A delta treatment for MGS2 would be easiest I think. If they do MGS1 they better not half ass it. You go resident evil 2 remake or not at all. Bring 4 to modern consoles. That’s the order of operations imo

I platinum’d the first game and am thinking this one will have a plat in my future

I thought the scene where Ellie plays guitar was actually better in the show than in the game…which is crazy cause that’s one of my favorite moments in the game. Izzy’s acting was incredible

@LogicStrikesAgain in the interview he (Shu) says that he had only just gotten in the role and didn’t understand the mechanics yet because of that chaos missed how good it really was. That’s why Bloodborne and later the Demon Souls remake were priorities for Shu

I’ve been playing it for 2 days and other than the UI I quite like it. The way the city expands now instead of using builders is awesome; great change. Moving army’s around with a general feels great, like you’re on an actual campaign. So far I think it deserves the praise

I think this explains why the Sony CFO came in as the President of PlayStation and said in an earnings call that the developers needed to learn how to make money (I’m paraphrasing) and shut a bunch of things down.

As for the neigh sayers, if you read the entire thing or watched the clip in the tweet from Colin, you’d understand why this game was so expensive and why they shut it down so quick

In their financial reports/earnings call, Hiroki Totoki literature club said that they would have a presentation by the end of May. So you have to figure the announcement for it is coming soon enough

@Member_the_game I agree with the fear of lack of competition, look how PlayStation’s been doing so far with a very gimped Xbox for years: remakes and nothing new. BUT I’d also argue that now it’s a different war. It’s not about WHERE plays better games (PC for the most part has that market) so now the competition is how can we be best (best games) I think this could be a unique evolution to games the same way music has evolved

I think in regards to trophies multiple things need to happen to make the ecosystem more rewarding. First, I think we can all agree that something needs to be done with the broken economy of them: IE addressing the sixty second platinum's. It destroys the value. Sony needs to take more pride in that ecosystem, the community they have created. I also think they need to create a standard of quality for their games. Much like Nintendo, they need to take pride in the games that come to their console. When you play a Playstation game, you know you are getting a quality product whether its first or third party. How games like GTA Definitive Edition and Skyrim Anniversary Edition was allowed on their console should make Playstation ashamed. This isn't PC, like the wild west, they have said they want to be the Luxury console, then act like it. Lastly, rewarding your most loyal customers should come into play. Again, like Nintendo, I'd argue that you'd have more customers and ultimately make more money if you implemented a reward system for trophies. Lets say you get a plat, you get 100 points. A normal $70 game is a thousand points. You plat 10 games, you get a free game of your choice. Figure out the economics of that, and guess who keeps buying more games, playing more games, and ultimately making you, Sony, more money? Your fanbase. Corporations are destroying the very fabric that makes them money by using analytics, again like Skyrim and GTA.

As for individual trophy hunters, like the author above, glad you aren't taking it too seriously anymore. The meta should be fun, something to keep you invested in the ecosystem, not a chore. I consider myself a trophy whore, but I only go for Plats I enjoy. Its still a rewarding experience.
