Re: Falcom Aware of Overseas Demand for New Trails Game Kuro no Kiseki, Mentions Potential PS5 Version

@Batesy125s I am currently playing ToCS 1. Never played a Trails game before. You are totally right about the story and the graphics. I had never tried them before because they looked so cheesy (I am a grafix nerd, yes). I tried the ff7 remake before this and HATED it. The realistic graphics paired with the stupid dialogue and voices was just ...I don't know.. creepy. Feeling let down and missing turn based battles, I gave ToCS a try and I love it.

Re: Lengthy Destiny 2 PS4 Update 1.11 Patch Notes Arrive Alongside Curse of Osiris

@Dankestdankz Yah, I was kind of shocked when part of the new story quest was just to run the Pyramidion strike, solo, with the only differences being different dialogue and without the giant Vex bot fight at the end. That really stuck out as a cheap move.

That said, Destiny has ALWAYS done it this way. They just re-skin assets in different colors, etc and call it new. Think about it, since Destiny 1 launch day, we have been shooting the same Vex, Fallen, and Cabal enemies over and over. So with two full 60$ games and four expansions, we have been battling the same enemies as launch day over three years ago.

p.s. The Taken don't really count as new, in my opinion, because they are re-skins of the usual characters with slightly modified behavior/ai.

And I'm still not sure I know why these three alien races have come here to fight with us.

@ShogunRok actually, those facial animations are still superb. Their checks puff out, their throats move when they talk etc. - all the little things that don't get animated in other games but make the faces so much more alive. Sure, the other graphics are dated, but those face animations are still the best face animations I have seen in a game.

Re: Talking Point: What Sort of Story Do You Want Out of Spider-Man PS4?

TIEMs

It would be cool to have it be a mystery. Something where stealth was involved and because you are able to climb walls and peer in windows, you can investigate it in a way that no cops could. Of course, at the end, it would be revealed that the perp would be one of Spidey's many goofy villains whom I can never take seriously.

Re: Activision Talks Destiny 2 at Its Latest Financial Briefing

TIEMs

What I would like from Destiny 2:
1. A TRUE support class with defensive, healing capabilities.
2. Much more customization for characters, both in appearance and abilities.
3. Ability to chat other players before grouping - like, "hey, you seem cool. Want to group?"
4. Ability to fast switch between weapons within the same "type". It is annoying to have to go into 2 other screens to switch between, for example, a scout rifle and a hand cannon.
5. Some way to auto-group for raids. Even if the auto-grouped players sucked, at least I would be able to get some axperience with how the raid works BEFORE the agonizing process of arranging a raid comprised of friends and "good" players. Right now, I decline Raid invites because I have no idea what to do in a Raid and frankly, dont have the time or interest to study videos or walkthroughs online.
5.5 alternatively to #5, a way to be a spectator on a Raid - I would have a "camera" persona that could float along with the players so I could watch and learn. I could also literally BE the camera man by taking screenshots, videos. Or maybe I would be a ghost, like in MGS:online and I would have a very limited ability to distract the enemies once in a while with my spooky presence.
6. In-game lore. The grimoire website thing is incredibly stupid.
7. Revamped Supers. There are a couple supers that, personally, I think are a waste, or not so super. Golden Gun being the worst one.
8. Being able to "stow" bounties away. So I can free-up bounty slots that are currently occupied by quests that are activated only for short periods like Iron Banner, SLR racing, etc. Currently, If I want to free those slots I have to delete those bounties which will, in turn, delete my progress in them.
9. Make SLR racing permanent.
10. Introduce crafting.
11. Re-think how the currencies work. There are way too many currencies.
12. Stop doing things like adding, for example, Skeleton keys and then not telling you how they work or how to get them. Others include dormant siva, splicer keys, etc. - all that stuff that you pick up and have no idea what it's for until you check online or ask someone, or accidentally run into the situation which requires it.
13. Make effects of armor actually useful and understandable. Like, "reduces solar/void/arc damage" would actually have some noticable effect. Get rid of stupid item effects like "increase grenade throw distance". Increase the number of effects available. You get so much repeatition now, with so little effect, that sometimes I just quit paying attention to them.

Re: The Last Guardian's Cat-Bird Will Be Contrary Like a Real Animal

TIEMs

If this is true and the Catbird is super interesting then I might be re-stoked about this. That said, I was VERY disappointed in what I saw last year at E3. It just looked like Ico, both in gameplay and graphics. I'm so tired of games that look like last gen or even last-last gen. I am a graphics whore, yes, but this game has been in development forever, I hope there is at least SOMETHING visually new to look at.

Re: Feature: 7 Improvements That Make Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Feel Fresh on PS4

TIEMs

Disappointed about all the new features that are completely not of interest to me. I was hoping for more of a visual upgrade. They seemed to have high-rezzed the textures, but I was really hoping for a nice upgrade to the lighting, etc. In the demo, everything feels very "flat"- there is a distinct lack of shadowing and other effects that everyone is used to by now that help to make a scene more convincing. I would have gladly gone without some of those extra modes for improved visuals.
