Kuro no Kiseki West

Man, that latest Trails game looks bloody good, doesn't it? Titled Kuro no Kiseki, it releases for PlayStation 4 this very week in Japan, and it takes place after the excellent Trails of Cold Steel series. It's pretty much the next evolution in Falcom's long running The Legend of Heroes franchise.

Anyway, ever since it was announced, Western fans have been pondering over an eventual launch outside of Japan. At the time of writing, there's been no official word, even though NIS America has confirmed that it'll be publishing four Trails titles in 2022 and 2023, including the two Crossbell games, Cold Steel sequel Trails into Reverie, and The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails.

But there's still hope. In a recent interview with Famitsu — as reported by Nintendo Enthusiast — Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo acknowledged the "overseas demand" for Kuro no Kiseki, when asked about a potential PS5 version of the game.

it's likely that we will eventually get Kuro no Kiseki here in the West, but looking at NIS America's aforementioned release schedule for the localisation of other Trails games, it could be a long time until it finally arrives. Hopefully the publisher can slot it in sooner rather than later, because there's real hype surrounding this new instalment.
