Re: Hellraiser PS5's Latest Trailer Is Too Gruesome for Sony's YouTube Channel

THEBrew

Weird people banging on about "gore/torture porn", when Clive originally wrote the books that term wasn't even a thing, it only came about after the Saw movies. Considering the subject matter mainly revolves around Hell and damnation I don't know what people expect; a stroll in the park? Personally I find the majority of modern politicians and blind devotion to religions far more terrifying.

Re: 'PS5 Is for the Payers': Just 18% Think PS Plus Essential Is Good Value for Money in 2026

THEBrew

@Oram77 Hell yes was it bad. I remember going from one console to the other in a short space of time (unlike the massive gap I had between PS4 to PS5) and thinking damn it wasn't my internet provider after all. Also it would cut out remember playing Dark Souls and needing some MP help and the damn thing cut out about a second before me and virtual help had trounced some boss I was seething.

Re: 'It Should Be Free to Play Online Games': PS Plus Price Squeeze Taken to Task by PS5 Owners

THEBrew

I still can't see why they can't go back to how it was before where the online is free and you pay if you want monthly games. I think Sony's biggest mistake is thinking the cost of living crisis isn't affecting a majority of the world's population. At some point they'll price themselves out of the market then be forced to lower prices by which time the damage to brand is already done.

Re: Sony Reportedly Confirms Shift Back to PS5 Single Player Exclusive Games

THEBrew

As long as they make sensible and balanced choices with the narratives all well and good. But of late there have been some Disney level of cobblers seeping into the big name titles. It's one reason I'm loving the fact Stellar Blade 2 won't have any Sony exec with his dirty paws getting involved at any point not that they did with the first one obviously!

Re: See the Alternate Version of Uncharted 4 You Never Got to Play in Eye-Opening Video

THEBrew

@MotoGato Having replayed both TLOU games several times I never really saw the disparity between the two till I watched the TV show's 2 seasons back to back. Ignoring the golfing lesson they were like chalk and cheese overall story wise. Still a fan of both games Hell unlike most I even like Season 2 of the show mainly for the imagery and the world. But as you say if Henning had been involved in Part 2 the editing may have been tighter and certain wiser decisions made with the plot. Which in hindsight would have likely led to a more interesting show and more enthusiasm for the third and likely last season 3.

Re: Round Up: Disco Elysium's Controversial 'Sequel' Met with Rave Reviews

THEBrew

@ThorsHammer Sheesh not good. In that respect I can't see how the above can be considered a sequel in any sense of the word. I mean it's different when an established franchise is handed over to a different studio (like LIS or the Little Nightmares series) but to launch a new IP like the above then claim it's a Disco Elysium "spiritual" sequel nah.

Re: Round Up: Disco Elysium's Controversial 'Sequel' Met with Rave Reviews

THEBrew

I suppose it depends who exactly was ejected by the studio, if it were those that made the game so original and daring in the first place then the above isn't really a sequel, spiritual or otherwise. It'd be like firing the head chef from a restaurant then replacing him with the guy who empties the bins but keeping the name...

Re: One Year Later, DOOM: The Dark Ages DLC Is Nowhere to Be Seen

THEBrew

Hmmm I'm starting to get a bad feeling about the Little Nightmares 3 dlc too surely that should have dropped by now? I wouldn't mind but they sell these deluxe editions with the season pass then it all goes quiet. With Reanimal though I think we'll be good mind you that was far better than LN3.

Re: Crimson Desert Gets Second PS5 Patch in a Week, Update 1.07 Out Now

THEBrew

They need to sort the damn game mechanics out, Chapters 9 to 12 were an endurance test which nearly made me uninstall the game.
Without spoilers I'll just say good luck getting on a dragon and taking out a tank without reading a walkthrough. For a game that's supposed to be non-linear the main missions were anything but with only one way through which at no point was obvious. No longer my GOTY that title goes back to RE9.
