@get2sammyb Sammy you can buy Warp Tokens from the store. You buy a Special Ticket and exchange that for 10 Warp Tokens.
I have been a fan of the series and for me the PS Vita version was the best. As for this version I find it appalling that a game dev will leave content out that could and should have been included in the finished game, just to sell them as DLC. I also find appalling that on the 20th anniversary, instead of thanking fans of the series with a complete package Clap Hanz force feed us with micro-transactions. €5 and €6.5 for an extra course (there are two available), €2 for a character expansion slot, between €3 and €5 for a buggy and €1 per Special tickets (10 Warp Tokens)? This is how Clap Hanz repays loyalty? Sure you can enjoy the game as is, but for ethical reasons I will not be buying it. I don't want to reward Clap Hanz for choosing this "pay to win" model, especially on the anniversary of the series. A shame because I was really looking forward for this one.
I hear and read that many people believe that PS VR is an overpriced gimmick. I admit it is not cheap but believe me when I tell you the experiences you will get are second to none. From Batman: Arkham VR to Eve: Valkyrie and from Battezone to Thumber, words, images and videos can not express what you experience.
When you spend something between 400€ and 800+€ on a phone that does pretty much the same as your old phone did is a device that takes you places you can't go, really an overpriced gimmick?
VR is the best thing that happened to gaming in over a decade and it will change it forever. PS VR is the cheapest ticket for the ride of your life. Enjoy it.
Themes were first announced for the Vita. So the proper title should read, "Themes are coming to the PS4 too." But I guess everyone can be an "article writer" these days.
Well for one, Xbox has it, the PS3 has it and the Vita has it, not to mention every other device out there has it. From a technical stand point there is no reason for the PS4 not to have YouTube upload capability. You can not even upload to YouTube the exported, captured video from within the PS4's browser. When I mean greed it is always when one party wants X money and the other ones are not willing to give it. There are always royalties involved when it comes to Google, and Sony must pay Google for the right to use YouTube, for each device separately.
The other scenario is that the PS4's OS is a load of crap and can not even handle a simple YouTube upload.
My money is on the first scenario, plus I have some intel that I can not elaborate on. But trust me, the problem is between Google and Sony and not on the Playstation front only. Google has not been in best terms with most Android phones manufacturers this past year (Samsung, HTC, Sony etc) and it only got worse with the smart watches. It is a long and complicated relationship and when you start seeing your partners as competition, problems arise.
Google also has the tendency to buy companies just to hinder competition, a practice that Microsoft did back in the 90's and still does till today. All of this requires a ton of analysis and a ton of reading. It is easier for me and of you to say "greedy **** you are screwing us over" than to analyze where that comes from.
The PS4 might not lose Twitch if there is a good agreement in place.
@Paranoimia Not to disappoint you, but the only reason the PS4 can not stream to YouTube is because of Google's greediness (or some other agenda). So no, this will not result in the PS4 streaming to YouTube, but it could result in the PS4 loosing twitch too.
Nice going Google. First you screw us over with not reaching an agreement with Sony about YouFreakinTube and now you are buying the other service that the PS4 can broadcast? Why don't you buy Youstream too while you're at it. Prepare to start seeing ads all the time on twitch. You are walking the Microsoft path Google and you will end up just like them soon enough.
The good news is that they care about the game and they are trying to fix things. I bet optimizing the game further is also in the works. It is still amazing how they managed to fit this game on a handheld device. Kudos.
I can see the PS Vita 2 coming out very soon. Beefier specs with backward compatibility. Makes perfect sense, smartphones are doing it every 12 months, why not the Vita, which is already 2+ years old?
I will say it again. Sony has shifted all of the 1st party studios' attention towards Morpheus projects and that is what they will be showcasing. Every time there is so much... silence in the industry, things are about to change. Morpheus will be the real Next Gen and not the PS4 and Sony will try to push that envelope and widen the gap from M$. The fact alone that they make the PS Move and the camera relevant all of a sudden is like hitting two birds with one stone.
...and a few thoughts
Morpheus might be even more into development than showcased a few weeks back.
The PS4 will not get a price drop but the Vita and its memories will (I hope)...
Most new IPs will be for morpheus.

With this account I am as Necrotus but on the PSN created Uplay account I am as Sutorcen. I propably must do it through one of UbiSofts' games on the PS3 or the PS4.

@Reverend_Skeeve Well it's not that I want that many different things from a game, than you or Davros. I too want a great story and good gameplay and the game to be fun. I also want people to be honest with what they are playing. The fact that the PS4 is almost 6-7 months out and we have so few games does not make one game THE BEST of them all. I want story, fun, gameplay and 1080p @ 60 fps with all bells and whistles because that's what they all promised us again with this generation. So to not get it... again... after 7 years of PS3 and another 7 months of PS4 is unacceptable. That's all. Especially since all the developers hailed this new hardware as easier to develop for. Add the fact that they delayed it in order to polish it and you can understand why this is not good enough... for me. Oh and yet again what they've shown at E3 has nothing to do with what we got in the end.
@Reverend_Skeeve No rant at all... well said. Ok maybe SS was a bad example. But still I stand by my opinion. good gameplay, technically not that impressive. It has too many (technical) things I don't want to see from a current gen title. Sorry. I enjoy it very much as a game though.
@Davros79 A game is a product that is reviewed and evaluated by the sum of it's parts. Graphics being one of them. Now if the graphics are not in par with the current generation of consoles where the standard is supposed to be 1080p @ 60fps, or the graphics are very inferior to what was promised, then yes as a product it is not entitled a 9/10 rating. Would you buy a new car with a 5 year old engine? How about a new premium smartphone with a last gen SoC? No you wouldn't, in fact you would laugh at it. But god forbid we talk about games that way. What are we as gamers, second hand customers and we ought to appreciate every bit of sub par product just because there is nothing else to play at the moment and the industry NEEDS a smash hit and fast? The game is nice, it just isn't next gen on PS4 or XBone. The fact that you enjoy it does not eliminate it's technical shortcomings.
Since you mentioned it, no, it's not just the resolution of the game or its frame rate. Most of the AAA effects are gone, reflections on most objects are not even reflections they are textures. As for the textures themselves they are a mixed bag of high res textures and low res textures. They are cutting corners everywhere to make the game run at close to 30fps. To you have any idea how lame that sounds, how bad the game's code is (hell, even on a recommended PC it has serious performance issues)? Compare it with Second Son if you don't believe me.
You are talking about enjoying the game, I'm talking from a technical stand point. From a gameplay perspective it's a fun game to play, but technically it's meh.
@Davros79 I never said the graphics are not nice. I just said the graphics are not current gen material. This game technically is last gen from all aspects, it's not even 1080p for crying out loud. If this game deserves 9/10 what will the real current gen games that run at 1080p @ 60 fps and with all fx available deserve? 15/10? Please don't confuse and accept a technically mediocre game (for PS4 standards) as a 9/10 game just because the press says so. They (Ubisoft) promised us the moon and the stars and failed to deliver. Such games, in my book are neither worth 9/10 nor this price tag. If people want to buy overpriced ps3 games fine by me. Lastly, the fact that Ubisoft with the PS3 version couldn't come close to the quality of GTAV says a lot about this game.
I am having serious issues with the graphics. Fisrt of all, none of the screenshots shown above are from the PS4 version of the game. The game's graphics are GTAV at best and don't count as next gen. This is like a PS3 game with slightly better graphics. Plot might be good and gameplay might be ok but I can't get over these graphics. This isn't what was promised to us in last year's E3 and to add insult to injury it barely runs @ 30fps. Oh and those reflections... haven't seen that kind of reflections since late '00 games. And you are asking 80 Euros (games + pass) for this crap and the press is giving it 9/10 and 5 out of 5? This is f%@$# up right here.
Blizzard, let us import our PC/Mac characters. Not wasting my 2 years playing Diablo 3, but would buy it in an instance if you just let us transfer our characters over to the PS4.
I really want someone from Sony to come out and explain to us why it was such a brilliant businesses plan to sent seven years of cell processor programming down the toilet and how the developers agreed to that. "Oh well we invested so much time, money and know-how to learn to program on the PS3 but what the hell, let's throw all that time, money and effort away, huzaah." I want someone to tell me how it wasn't the logical step to put a cell processor running at higher frequency along with 8GB of DDR5 ram in the PS4 plus the latest gpu. I want someone to tell me that this PS4 outperforms such a cell machine, lol. I want someone to tell me how it is better to stream games than to keep backwards compatibility. Oh and one last thing, how exactly do you design a next gen OS and gui loosing most of last gens media capabilities and functionality?
So let me get this straight. The gaming industry promised us 1080p 60fps with the last generation of machines. They failed to deliver. Seven years later they release this generation of machines with the same seven year old promises. They still fail to deliver. Seven months in and we still don't have a decent next gen game that runs at 1080p 60fps. So no, it is not about the gameplay anymore it's about empty promises and the gaming industry needs to learn the lesson, that you can't go back on your promises all the time. If we do that on our jobs or in our relationships we get the boot. Why the hell should I reward them with my money, on a product that promises the star and the moon and fails to deliver even the hills? Nice going Ubi, Sony and Microsoft. Nice going.
"Fortunately, we’re not reading too much into Mesa’s ."
Yeah, thank god for that. But still you are, AGAIN, reproducing a... somewhat misjudged negative statement about the PS Vita. How about reproducing a somewhat misjudged positive statement for once?
@Dizzard You can find sencond hand memory cards very cheap.
@Paranoimia Excuses from bad coders.
Analysts are only here to shape public opinion, as it was proven by the "analysis" of the tablet market all those years, where the numbers were nothing but a lie to serve anything but the truth. So anything they have to say is at best of no interest.
I have been a gamer for a long time and when Sony is silent it means they are up to something. That... something is VR Experiences. Most 1st party studios are silent. No news, no PS4 projects announced. We have seen restructuring in some (Naughty Dog is one) but other than that, total silence. They know the next generation is here and they know it's not 1080p 60fps graphics, it's VR. So hold your horses, Sony is about to blow the competition out of the water.
I know a niche place on mr. Gara's body to stick the Vita, maybe then will he stop talking trash about his company's own product. Seriously, just go play cricket or something and leave the comments and the interviews to someone who has an idea aboutnwhat he is talking about.
@Jo_Jo718 No one knows what it's going to happen to the Vita. One thing is for sure though, it's library is getting bigger year on year. We are three months in 2014 and already 40+ games have been announced and shown, most of them great games. I really don't see the Vita dying down soon. Its sales are growing steadily and eventually more companies will release their AAA IPs on it. It has always been like this. No to mention that Sony has a lot of room to sweeten the deal. Lowering the Vita's price and the price for the memory cards, plus a nice hardware upgrade (bigger battery and maybe more internal storage) and last but not least Playstation Now are all in the future of the PS Vita. So I personally see the Vita going way up before dying. Most importantly it has no competition. The DS is not it's competition, totally different product with different target group. It's like comparing a Ferrari with a Lexus. Both great, expensive cars but totally different performance, prestige and audience. It might not sell they way "reporters" want it to sell, because if you don't create intrigue and a rivalry, you don't get clicks on your website, but its course through this past two years has proven that the Vita is a damn good, sexy device and a gamers dream come true. Only thing missing are physical L2 and R2 triggers. Come on Sony... put those on the Vita 2.
Every month the same story. The state of the Vita. If you spent half the time writing about what's wrong with the PS4 than writing about the Vita, things would happen for the PS4. I am starting to get annoyed with all those "reports" about the state of the Vita every couple of weeks. Seriously leave the Vita alone FFS. It will find it's way without your "help". End of nagging.
What people don't seem to understand is that the Vita stands in a place all by itself. A space between mobile crappy games and heavy, time demanding AAA games. There isn't any other device than can bridge this gap. No the 3DS does not count as it neither has the power nor the maturity or the controls to do so. Vita is the perfect device for the non gamer and for people who want to play anywhere, always. Most of us own a home console and a PC, so feeling disappointed that you can't play the games you can play on your other platforms, is a bit ironic, if not a lie. People complaining about all the AAA ports prove this point. In this day and age where most IPs are released to almost every platform, do you really want to judge the Vita for lacking exclusive IPs? Sorry but we can't do that. Games that were Vita or Playstation exclusive turned up on Steam and mobiles and vice versa after a while. So the Vita has no exclusives and no AAA titles still (epic face palm) or so you say. So what? There are tons of games for someone to play on the Vita. The fact alone that when a games will be cross released on PS4/3 and the Vita and most people are excited about the Vita version, speaks tons. Sorry but for me this whole discussion is obsolete and I'm really starting to wonder with this obsession from the Push Square team. Just for 2014 I have already lost count of how many games will be released for the Vita, can't say the same for the PS4.
I wish Sony took the time to bring over some of the best iOS and Android games to the Vita. Then Vita would become the ultimate gaming machine. Imagine to be able to play, Threes, Clash of clans, PvZ 2, Oceanhorn, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Ridiculous Fishing, Shadowrun, Candy Crash Saga and the rest of King's games. Triple Town just to name a few. Best from three worlds, Home consoles, portable and mobile games, all on one device and with all the controls to boost. I can't thing of any other single device that can easily play Killzone, God Of War, indies, and mobile games with proper controls.
That's the beauty of the Vita, it can actually play everything.
"Of course, this supports the suggestion that Japan may not be especially interested in playing home consoles anymore."
ORLY? Why can't you simply state the obvious truth? There are no games for the PS4. Not even for the west. How the hell is it supposed to sell? You thing Japan cares for the likes of Battlefield 4, Lego Marvel or NBA 2K14??? There aren't any titles the Japanese gamer would like.
Assassin's Creed 4 Battlefield 4 Call of Duty: Ghosts Doki-Doki Universe Dream Club: Host Girls on Stage Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends FIFA 14 Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn beta Hohokum Killzone: Shadow Fall Knack Natural Doctrine Puzzle 4 Sudoku Tottemo E Mahjong Plus Resogun Strider Yakuza: Restoration
Not a single AAA Japanese oriented tiltle in there. None. Even if I was in Japan I wouldn't buy a PS4 when the PS3 has so many great games coming out. Hell even the Vita has better games than the PS4.
Besides that US and EU buyers are not as aware as the Japanese are. We are more impulse buyers than anything else. Speak the truth for once.

Re: Actually, Watch Dogs PS4 Won't Run at 60FPS in 1080p
Nice going.
Re: Sony: The Economics Don't Work for Blockbuster Vita Games
"Fortunately, we’re not reading too much into Mesa’s ."
Yeah, thank god for that. But still you are, AGAIN, reproducing a... somewhat misjudged negative statement about the PS Vita. How about reproducing a somewhat misjudged positive statement for once?
@Dizzard You can find sencond hand memory cards very cheap.
@Paranoimia Excuses from bad coders.
Re: This Analyst Thinks the PS4 Will Sell 51 Million Units by 2016
Analysts are only here to shape public opinion, as it was proven by the "analysis" of the tablet market all those years, where the numbers were nothing but a lie to serve anything but the truth. So anything they have to say is at best of no interest.

To quote another gamers comment "there are more liars in the gaming industry, than there are in the parliament."
Re: EA is Going to Show Off Six New Games at E3
Like we give a crap about EA.
Re: Believe It or Not, PS4 Has Way More Games Than You Think It Does
I have been a gamer for a long time and when Sony is silent it means they are up to something. That... something is VR Experiences.
Re: This Is How Beyond: Two Souls' Ellen Page Would Look on PS4
If there is one game that deserves a PS4 remake it is Beyond: Two Souls.
Re: Could This Be Project Morpheus' Prettiest Title to Date?
Woooooow... amazing
Re: PS4 Title DriveClub Decorating Project Morpheus with Tyre Treads
I wouldn't be surprised if Drive Club supported VR in the end... I smell a bluff here for some reason.
Re: Review: SteamWorld Dig (PlayStation 4)
Sounds a lot like Super Motherload.
Re: What Does the PS4 Controller's Light Bar Add to inFAMOUS: Second Son?
I've never noticed the light bar during gaming...
Re: Sony: PlayStation Vita Is Proving to Be a Big Niche Device
@Toddler_Naruto You can't go wrong with Persona 4. You will love it... or hate it. If you like JRPGs this is as good as is gets
Re: Weirdness: Be Careful When Playing Dark Souls II with a DualShock 4
And we need an article to find out about that? I don't even know where to begin with this story... Epic fail
Re: Sony: PlayStation Vita Is Proving to Be a Big Niche Device
I know a niche place on mr. Gara's body to stick the Vita, maybe then will he stop talking trash about his company's own product. Seriously, just go play cricket or something and leave the comments and the interviews to someone who has an idea aboutnwhat he is talking about.
Re: Sony: PlayStation Vita Is Proving to Be a Big Niche Device
Re: Sony: PlayStation Vita Is Proving to Be a Big Niche Device
Re: Sony's PS4 Indie Launch Parity Clause Is More Parody
You got to love Sony's trolling lol
Re: Review: Dark Souls II (PlayStation 3)
Sweet, now make a Dark Souls for Vita since the portable can handle it and we can kiss our social lives goodbye.
Re: Japanese Sales Charts: Soul Sacrifice Delta Breathes Life Back into PS Vita
"Of course, this supports the suggestion that Japan may not be especially interested in playing home consoles anymore."
ORLY? Why can't you simply state the obvious truth? There are no games for the PS4. Not even for the west. How the hell is it supposed to sell? You thing Japan cares for the likes of Battlefield 4, Lego Marvel or NBA 2K14??? There aren't any titles the Japanese gamer would like.
Assassin's Creed 4
Battlefield 4
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Doki-Doki Universe
Dream Club: Host Girls on Stage
Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends
FIFA 14
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn beta
Hohokum
Killzone: Shadow Fall
Knack
Natural Doctrine
Puzzle 4 Sudoku
Tottemo E Mahjong Plus
Resogun
Strider
Yakuza: Restoration
Not a single AAA Japanese oriented tiltle in there. None. Even if I was in Japan I wouldn't buy a PS4 when the PS3 has so many great games coming out. Hell even the Vita has better games than the PS4.
Besides that US and EU buyers are not as aware as the Japanese are. We are more impulse buyers than anything else. Speak the truth for once.
