@CrashBandicoat How many games on PCVR use eye tracking and foveated rendering? So whilst I understand what you wrote there isn't exactly anything on the PCVR space that takes advantage of it apart from a few patched games made for specifically for higher prices headsets

@StrickenBiged Because if Dreams was released on PC it would involve crossplay, users will then undoubtedly try to mod creations which would then be uploaded and break the game making crossplay useless as it would have to work on PlayStation. Personally I thought they would've put Dreams on PS Plus at least two years ago.

@Sanquine Factions got canned because they couldn't make money from it, whereas I would've purchased TLOU2 for Factions alone.

This is a good game but it really should be on multiplatforms

There's a pattern to Game of the year and it's not live services with egregious microtransactions Ubisoft games.

@WizzNL I kind of agree about the hefty cosmetic price which seems egregious at first, the problem is they put the most expensive bundle as recommended and litteraly the first thing you see which is off putting and you can attest to that.

What they should've done is simply shown a cheaper skin and let people dig around the store because the prices are no different to other f2p games, but they're smarter in not scaring people off with the highest prices from the off.

It's still an enjoyable game and other than unlocking a character early with a 4.99 season pass everything is cosmetic that can't really be earned in some cases which I think is acceptable for those that do pay.

@SgtTruth The saddest part is, what you said is true.

Lower the resolution and cutback the graphics for 60fps, after all this is common place on PC and if they want quality settings then 30fps is fine. It still amazes that they'll release a PC version which can be customised for performance by lowering the settings but will stick ridgedly to 30fps or nothing on consoles. I prefer to play on PS5 but will definitely get this on PC.

@Pepsiman_100 Yes I understand it's because of the graphics, I was only reffering to the gameplay but I should've been more clear and I may of come across a bit rude which wasn't my intention.

@Th3solution It's nothing like Drawn to Death, I played it last week and it basically explains gaming mechanics whilst you play those different mechanics as its being explained. It's not a game but definitely an interesting project

My headset is in for repairs and have to wait to play Vertigo 2 and Ultra Wings 2. I bought the first one on the PSVR so getting this is a no brainer.

Am I the only one not really wanting Rec Room as it was a dumpster fire full of 8 year olds. I also don't know how people commenting saying PSVR2 is dead when it's releasing games weekly with Vertigo 2, bulletstorm and toy trains last week, Ultra Wings 2 today. Granted Sony should be more active on the news front, but it's kind of been like that with the switch to State of Play over the last years.

I don't see the problem as this is the way the world is moving, why pay someone when you can use a text prompt and do it yourself? I understand the arguments against corporate greed or they can afford it, but commonsense dictates why pay for something if there's no need for the services? Those artists need to invest in training in Midjourney and other generative AI tools and then touch up the results, we all have to retrain and early bird catches the worm.

@TrickyDicky99 Those are games from studios that were acquired specifically to make live service games. When PlayStation gamers say first party they mean Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Guerrilla games, Polythony Digital, Santa Monica etc. You know the heavy hitters not being day and date.

@TrickyDicky99 You don't need PS+ to play Sonys first party games. I think you're referring to Herman Hulst saying live service games will be day and date release with PC which hasn't happened yet and Helldivers 2 by Arrowhead Games Studio are independent and not owned by Sony as far as I know and I could be wrong, but they are published by them.

Also there's some confusion between a game with multiplayer and live service which is multiplayer only, of all the games to be released in 2024 I'm not even sure how many are live service.

RE Village, GT7, NMS, Horizon COTM, Walking Dead Saints and Sinners 1&2, Synape, Hubris, Red Matter 1&2, Walkabout mini golf, Humanity, RE 4 plus over 150 other PSVR2 titles, but where are the games? I admit the Sony could've hyped it more but the games ARE there and they need to be highlighted more.

It's because the game is a trojan horse and shoehorn's in a story about Saga Anderson with Alan Wake who the game is named after kind of redundant. Devs and publishers keep turning known action games into relationship simulators and consumers aren't buying it.

@Shad361 It will keep dropping because the initial pre order and day one sales were sky high, but as time goes on its price length and subject matter in some areas may put off some players. Before people have a go at me for saying that, remember devs can make whatever they want, but they can't force people to spend money on something they aren't interested in.

@WhensDinner Having had a quick read up on Shadow of the Tomb raider, it sold 4m in the first 4 months and 8m in total across 5 platforms, not shabby at all but hardly 2 billion copies, more like it was copied 2 billion times on PC

Played all side missions and completed the game in 70hrs, it's a great game and I enjoyed it. The game is a 6 month exclusive meaning it will come out on other platforms later so I donny know why fanboys would want this to fail.

@SJBUK I’m expecting around the same but maybe +£100 with camera, move controllers, aim controller. It’s not a lot but I got my moneys worth out of it plus it will go towards the PSVR2. I say will go towards the PSVR2 but we all know it will go on shopping or whatever during the weekend, but you know what I mean.
