Re: Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection (PS5) - An Almost Flawless Victory for Fighting Game Fans

@Tobimune Also the Sega 32X version of Mortal Kombat II having no sounds like the actual cartridge version. Shao Kahn will not say round one/two/three fight/win, Raiden won't yell when he fly and Liu Kang hardly say something when he does his bicycle kick. Even worst no give over here from Scorpion. They really screw that version up when it should had been almost Super NES perfect.

It's an awesome package of old school MK games and if you're just getting this for offline play or offline tournament party play then this kollection is perfect for that but with a lackluster online and no rank, casual, or invite is just unacceptable. Crossplay would had been nice too but we all know that stuff is impossible to do especilaly for a large collection, even the mighty Capcom couldn't make it happen for all their various fighting game collections.

Re: Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Has More Games to Reveal, But Don't Hold Your Breath for PS2 Era

Serpenterror

Not sure why people kept clamouring for the PS2 era MK games. Other than Shaolin Monks and Deception, everything else were meh at best. Deadly Alliance was okay but with a jank combo system and only one fatality per fighter is just lame then we got Armageddon which literally had no original fatalities and a boring Story Mode that leads to nothing. The main character himself even died at the end and he's not even that important. Everyone I know who once play Armageddon already forgot who he was once MK9 came out.

Re: MultiVersus Season 5 Will Be Its Final Update, Game Will Go Offline Afterwards

Serpenterror

@EVIL-C The game wouldn't work very well on Switch anyways. Since it was a live service title that must be online at all times, it makes no sense to be on Switch cause you can't take and play the game on the go with you. This was one of the main reason why live service RPG, Genshin Impact never came to the Switch as the portable nature of the Switch platform is not a reliable outcome for the game.

Re: Naughty Dog Sold to Sony to Avoid Being 'Crushed' by Cost of Game Dev

Serpenterror

Going with Sony back then was the right call, continue to stick around with Sony of today though not so sure. Remember Sony doesn't know how to make games back then so they will take in any dev that wanted the money just so long as they commit for the long term. Naughty Dog was lucky they bite the right hook and got reel in and was made Sony's golden goose. The silver goose end up being Insomniac and the rest is history.

Re: Shenmue 3 Publishing Rights Passed to ININ on Fifth Anniversary

Serpenterror

So far it only had three games, just release a full trilogy of the first three games to all platforms while Yu Suzuki himself work on the fourth game. It shouldn't be this difficult to make a new Shenmue game. This series is heavy on the budget but doesn't want to deliver the goods. If Yu Suzuki want the story of Shenmue to be widespread, he needs to make it wide available and to do that the games had to be everywhere. Steam, Epic Game, GOG, Nintendo, Xbox, all of those. Heck even include some Shenmue cameos in Yakuza, Virtua Fighter, and Sonic games would be helpful too.

Re: Sony 'Can't Risk' Sharing PS6 Details with a Microsoft-Owned Activision

Serpenterror

So how are they gonna give you a good Call of Duty or Crash Bandicoot game for the PS6 Sony if you're not gonna tell them all your PS6 secrets? Even if Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard, they still gonna port you some of the games. Not telling them how your DualSense 2 controller will work or your PS6 hardware specs to them means your PS6 will probably gonna get a game that won't work properly on your system and it's going to be all your fault.

Re: A Future Dominated by Service Games Would Be 'Boring', Says PlayStation's Shuhei Yoshida

"You don’t want to see the Top 10 games every year being almost the same, all games becoming service games... That would be a bit boring, for me.”

If you reiterate what he says it goes like this: You don’t want to see the Top 10 games every year being almost the same, all games becoming SEGA... That would be a bit boring, for me.

I know that he's referring to games as live services but I think somewhere in there he also means SEGA is boring to him. Remember SEGA = SErvice GAmes.

Re: PS5 Is the Only Console Getting Price Rise, Microsoft and Nintendo Have 'No Plans'

@zupertramp Yeah but the OLED model was never cheap, it offered the same stuffs as the base model but better. Instead of 32gb storage, you get 64gb storage, instead of tiny speaker you get bigger speaker, instead of one puny stand you get a larger bigger stand, instead of a USB dock you get a new one with LAN support, instead of 3-5 hours battery life you now get 6-8 hours battery, and instead of a LCD screen you get a bigger better colorful OLED screen. All minor features that totally deserve that $50 raise.
