Yes! I'm excited about this game coming to PS4! I only play console games, and I've heard so much about this game...only to be disappointed that it was on computer. I can't wait for this to land on the PS4. When it does, we should have a Pushsquare community event around this game
Does it matter if the matches are ranked or unranked? Either way, I think I already put that many matches in.
I really like the game, I'm not good at it, but I do think it's a fun game to stream, I guess it's entertaining to watch me get my butt kicked several times in a row lol
I'll spend some time playing Elder Scrolls Online.
Once Euro Fishing download completes, I'm going to try that out too. I've heard good things about this fishing game, and it has an online component too. It's on sale now, so I thought I'd give it a shot (normally I'd wait to buy a game until I read the review on here, but since it's on sale I couldn't resist)
@get2sammyb I agree with you, I had the same issue with a computer game not working, I tried to get my money back, and was told "tough luck". That's why I stick with console gaming as well, I know the game will work.
I wouldn't be buying a game that I would want to return anyway, I come here to read your reviews and recommendations, so I know what I'm getting (and shouldn't be getting). Games are too expensive for me to purchase without some research on them first.
I was able to find a copy of Horizon at my local mom and pop video game store (I try to get all my games there); they having been running out of stock really quickly.
I've been really enjoying this game, and will continue this weekend. I approach Horizon like I do all RPGs, grind and grind and grind. I am just enjoying killing all the robotic creatures! I haven't done any of the main story yet, and I'm already almost lvl 10.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi how is torment tides of numenera, I've played the pen and paper game of Numenera, just wondering how the video game translates. Is there a learning curve?
@get2sammyb I'm loving Resogun. So great! That game just sucks you in. I kept thinking, "just one more go" and the next thing I know, it's 2am!
I'm also planning to pick up Horizon this weekend, I'm tempted to get Diablo III, I have it on ps3, but the seasons sound fun, I just don't have many friends that have Diablo III on PS4.
I'll be playing EDF! this weekend and probably some Diablo III.
I'll also be playing Miami Nights: Singles in the City on the DS...Why? In our video game podcast we have a trash bin segment, where the other two cohosts pick out an awful game that I have to play.
So I went to watch one of his videos, and after a few minutes, I had no idea what was going on so I stopped watching.
There are so many more respectable sites that discuss video games (like this site). I'll continue to get my information from the sites that are respectable, than spend time watching YouTube "stars" that rant on and on....
It's things like YouTube personalities that make me start feeling old...I have no idea who this person is and how this person is making a living by being a YouTube personality, but like any job, you're responsible for the content you deliver...
I think I'm going to start The Last of Us this weekend. I've heard really good things about this game, even outside the gaming channels (NPR did an article about the story behind this game).
For the first time in a very, very long time, I'm going to take a week of vacation between Christmas and New year's. I plan on getting some gaming in, clearing out my backlog of games. I'll be playing Red Dead, Pokémon Sun, and during the holidays we fire up the Wii for some Wii Sports. I'm super excited to actually take time off. Woot!
Eh, I never liked this game to begin with. I agree, why sell it at full price for the old gen, and then take away features that they were supporting. I can understand them not supporting new content, but to take away features that they sold the game on, at full price, that's terrible.
That being said, I got the game for under $20 on a black Friday sale, so I guess I can't complain too much 😉
I bought Transformers: Devastation off the Flash Sale. I'll be playing that this weekend . What a fun and beautiful game. Brings back childhood memories!
I saw the new trailer for the Ghostbusters movie, so I'm going to dust off Ghostbusters: The video game. That game is tons of fun. I'll play some Pokemon Yellow too. And hope to get in DCUO with friends.
This is a great article! I was just thinking the other day, "Man, my backlog of games is out of control, maybe I should put on the calendar what games I plan to play, and not buy a new game until I beat several of the games I have mapped out to beat.". Then a new game comes out, I want to buy it, and I do. Partly because as you mentioned, I want to be part of the conversation that happens with new games, and partly because well...I love video games. That's my vice. I don't drink. I don't spend money on cars or tools. It's video games. Part of my love for games is that I love being immersed in a whole new world. But if I find myself frustrated because I didn't get a certain trophy or complete a certain quest, I quit, thinking, " I'll come back to it later". And that's when I feel it's a chore rather than having fun. I feel guilty because 1) other people completed the trophy, why can't I? 2)other people seemed to enjoy getting that trophy, why can't I?
I begin to think there's something wrong with me or that if I give it one more go, something will click and I'll get the enjoyment of playing the game. All too often I find it more frustrating and annoying, and and a few days/weeks/months later I repeat the whole cycle again.
I'm going to be 40 this year (yikes) and I feel that if I'm going to say that I'm a life long gamer, that I've been gaming since I could basically walk (I owned a pong machine, my first gaming system) and if that is what "defines" me, then I better enjoy completing the game and getting that trophy!

Anyone playing Euro Fishing? If so, how do you like it? Are there boats in the game? Anyone interested in online multiplayer?

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 163
Horizon, some ESO, and I'm picking up ARK, because my brother in law has been playing it and can't put it down.
God it sucks to have so many good games to play, my 6 year self would be jealous!
Re: Poll: Has Persona 5 Been Worth the Hype?
Sooo many good games to play, I am still playing through Horizon, I really should beat that game before buying this one, but it looks so good!

Diablo III online with a friend of mine, man that game is so fun, and even more fun online with friends.

I've been playing Red Dead Redemption...and wondering why I haven't played it before. It's so good. I'm hoping the next game is just as good.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 147
@get2sammyb Nintendolife doesn't do a WAYP, not anymore at least.
This weekly article is always my favorite...I enjoy reading what everyone is playing, and it's a great way to get the community involved.
I started to go through my backlog of games, and realized I never played Red Dead Redemption. OMG...this game is fantastic!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 142
Skyrim. Skyrim. Skyrim. Did I mention Skyrim?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 135
Camping this weekend , but that won't stop me from gaming, since I brought my 3ds. I'll be playing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Digger Dan.
Re: Review: SteamWorld Heist (PS4)
This game is a lot of fun. I found it really assessable for players new to turn based strategy games.
I have this on the 3ds, I'm glad this made it to PS4, so others can enjoy the game as well.

I saw the new trailer for the Ghostbusters movie, so I'm going to dust off Ghostbusters: The video game. That game is tons of fun. I'll play some Pokemon Yellow too. And hope to get in DCUO with friends.

Some DCUO, now that it's cross platform play, I can finally play with my friends.
Re: DC Universe Online Now Features Cross-Play on PS4, PS3
This just made my day!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 104
Just found out my brother has ff14 so we'll be playing that this weekend. This game is much better when you play with someone you know.
Waiting for the psplus games to finish downloading. Looking forward to Grid:autosport. I will say, I was disappointed in Grid 2.
Maybe if I have time, i'll jump into Helldivers.
