Ah, the long Easter weekend: home to brighter weather, chocolate-based treats, and a couple of extra days gaming. Welcome to the fifth special Spring edition of What Are You Playing, which is actually no different to a regular week, we've just given it a different title.

I'm still slogging my way through Mass Effect: Andromeda, a game I actively despise at this point and should have put to bed a long, long time ago.

I finally have a little bit of free time, so I'll be playing Persona 5 this weekend. I've also been putting a little bit of time into Project Cars, perhaps as a kind of protest for not having been invited onto the Gran Turismo Sport beta.

After recently picking up both the Platinum for Horizon: Zero Dawn and The Sexy Brutale, I think I'll move onto Yooka-Laylee in the hopes of adding another ultimate shiny trinket to the collection. Other than that I'll be checking out Overwatch Uprising.

Happy Easter, everyone! In addition to the whole chocolate egg thing, I'll be celebrating by playing the colourful collectathon, Yooka-Laylee. Playtonic's 90s platformer throwback feels strangely apt, in that scoping out the various items feels like one big Easter egg hunt. If I fancy a different flavour of hunting, I've still got plenty of robots to slay in the less-Eastery Horizon: Zero Dawn.

First off, Happy Easter to everyone! With the recent resurgence of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on Xbox that's what I will be playing mostly along with a few matches of Overwatch on PS4.
Most Eggs-ellent! What are you Eggs-tremely Egg-cited to play gaming-wise this Easter weekend? Hop on down the rabbit hole and in to the comments section below.

Infamous 2nd Son. For a launch game it sure is pretty. Though I really miss zipping around on all the wires.
More importantly Dr. Who tonight at 9 after a long 1 year vacation.
I'm playing Persona 5 and I've just got to.... actually no spoilers here and frankly it wouldn't make sense anyway. This game just keeps getting better and better
I'm 20 hours into nier automata, I want to finish all the side quest first before playing the main quest.
@rjejr Wait until you fully upgrade the neon powers, you'll be zipping around in no time!
Continue playing Yooka-Laylee. Really enjoying it, more than most reviewers.
75 hours into Persona 5 and it just keeps getting better. I'm just waiting on Futaba.
I'll be checking out the GT Sport Beta at various times this weekend too.
@rjejr infamous second son is amazing. I really wish we'd get a sequel. You'll love it!
Persona 5. So much persona 5. If I can put it down for a minute, I'll be trying Abzu which came for GameFly.
PS4: Persona 5
PSVita: Metal Gear Solid
Finally decided to try out a series that has always intrigued me- Metal Gear Solid.
I'm only an hour into the original MGS & I can already sense that this is a special game. The presentation for a PS1 game is just of the charts
Looks like I'm going to have a lot of fun commuting to work .
Sunday will entirely be dedicated to Persona 5 ;D
After the brief pause last weekend I'm back in full swing with Persona 5 and absolutely loving it. This game really is something special. Also, having redownloaded Destiny, I may jump into that for a bit to prep for the sequel later in the year.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Wheyyy glad you're enjoying MGS1. My 3rd favourite game of all time Snake? Come in! Snake?! SNAAAAKKKKEEEEEEE...!!!
I'm plugging away at Persona 5, 25 hours in - I'm very much enjoying it but I don't find I can binge on it like Nier or something..
I'll spend some time playing Elder Scrolls Online.
Once Euro Fishing download completes, I'm going to try that out too. I've heard good things about this fishing game, and it has an online component too. It's on sale now, so I thought I'd give it a shot (normally I'd wait to buy a game until I read the review on here, but since it's on sale I couldn't resist)
Been playing Breath of the Wild, PaRappa The Rapper and Planescape Torment.
@get2sammyb Why keep playing a game if you dislike it that much?stop wasting your time and play something you enjoy.Still, real shame I loved the original Trilogy but don't think I'll even buy the new one cheap.
@rjejr Infamous Second Son is a fantastic game that only gets better. As for Dr Who...if it ain't Tom Baker with his devoted friend K9 I don't wanna know
More Horizon Zero Dawn for me and loving every minute..also.."Persona!!"
Happy Easter everyone!
@Wazeddie22 I know, I know. I've committed to finishing it, though, so I've got to see it through.
On Ps4 I will continue my fight on Hyper Light Drifter. I am finding the game rock hard and at times frustrating (the first boss I took on, in the north, took me at least 25 goes) but at the same time I can't get enough. The atmosphere, imagery and music are just excellent and the combat is very satisfying.
Other than that, more Zelda on switch.
Still playing trough Trails in Cold Steel on Vita, up to chapter 6 now (out of 8), still loving the game Also got a PS4 slim in a Gamestop sale (with an extra controller and two games: Battleborn and The Order 1886, both of which I'll be trading in for Persona 5 in the summer). Not touching it till I've finished all my college work but looking forward to finishing Horizon and catching up on Persona 5 and the Sexy Brutale when I do
Well after getting Get Giant I only have the human awoken skill left in DBX2 for the plat so I'll be trying to get that done before my in-laws come in town for Easter (we host every year). If I get that& have a little free time left over I may get to actually have some fun playing more Persona 5 or Horizon.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Watching Doctor Who, then i'll probably try to finish Arkham Knight, just one more villain to catch
Ps4: Persona 5 - on second dungeon atm, and loving it. All the various systems are starting to make sense now.
PSV: Trails of cold steel. About three or so hours in and enjoying it so far 😊 bought on the basis I heard there were some similarities to persona 4 golden, and certainly liking wht ive played
@get2sammyb - so what would you say the big issue is with mass effect. Is it the story, or are the missions dull and repetitive? Hoped to play at some point but increasingly feel like I should stay clear
@rjejr Argh I forgot about Doctor Who. Thanks for the reminder. Technically it is my wife's birthday and we are going out but I will pull a sicky or something.
I'll be going to get a PS card or two after I cash my check. With Wipeout HD on sale, I'll get that and likely FF7.
@Rudy_Manchego That boss drove me mental on NG+, just one shots you. Still, it's the hardest boss IMO. You should actually go east first, apparently! You'll stomp the rest of the bosses.
I'll keep plugging away at breath of the wild!
@kyleforrester87 Haha it's great. The controls are rough on vita- items are mapped to the back pad, but after spending way too long on the first mission I'm am now an expert wall hugger.
I love Mei Ling. Snake hitting on two women within the opening 10mins is just brilliant.
@Wazeddie22 "if it ain't Tom Baker"
He's still my favorite, but the first 4 seasons of the new show were really good. But now like sammy I have to see it through to the end. Even bad Dr Who is still 1 of the best shows on TV though, Daleks never get old.
@Rudy_Manchego Tell your wife random strange people on the internet wish her a happy birthday, and it would be happier if she stayed home and watched Dr Who with you.
And if that doesn't work, it's being replayed at midnight.

@get2sammyb the neon powers
Do I get them from the serial killer woman? I was on my way to her boyfriend Brent's apartment last night when my kids went to bed to I stopped playing. Yeah, mid-mission, wadayagonnado.
No wires has been my only complaint so far. Well that and even though I've unlocked a few fast travel points it's easier to actually walk on foot on the street than climb back up to the top of those billboards. Fast travel it is not. Though now I'm excited to get the neon powers, maybe I'll gather the family up after lunch.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Yeah, you can remap the L2 and R2 onto the corners of the touch screen which I found easier than using the back pad. But yeah it's a bit annoying!
"I can't believe I'm being hit on by the famous Solid Snaaaake!"
I'm away tomorrow and Monday so not quite as much gaming time this weekend as I'd perhaps like but I am off work til next Saturday so aiming to enjoy a few more games in the days after.
Just managed to get the platinum for the PaRappa remaster. Might play a bit more Snake Pass tonight as well as another episode of the Telltale Batman series, all intertwined with a few more games of FIFA 17 and maybe another dip into the deep worlds of Yooka-Laylee.
@Grawlog
I'm 50 hours in and have only finishes one of the Divine Beast dungeons and about 20 or so shrines, but I feel like I've done a lot eventhough I really haven't. More than anyother game I've ever played, this one really does capture that 'go on your own adventure' feel.
@Rob_230 It's boring is the biggest issue. It's just a big fat vapid slog.
@get2sammyb O dear. Well there is nothing bioware can do about that. Shame. Looks like I will give it a miss given how many quality titles have been released this year already.
Doctor Who.
Breath of the Wild
Snake Pass
Something confidential
@get2sammyb does what I do. Paid for it. Aint gonna give a full judgement until its done.
PS4 - Yakuza Zero
Vita - Steins Gate
PS1 - Command and Conquer red alert and GranTurismo 2
@Fight_Teza_Fight Kinda weird to play MGS portable, since the cutscenes can get pretty long. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy it.
Also, just to save you some trouble, Meryl's codec is 140.15.
Paragon, I normally despise MOBAs but I have fallen in love with it. Between that some Persona 5 and some Dead Island definitive.
The talos principle and I consider getting the ps puls version of driveclub and play that also!
Somewhat of a busy weekend for me, but I'll definitely get in some game time. For PS4, more SNK fighting games. King of Fighters 14, Garou Mark of the Wolves, Last Blade 2, Fatal Fury Real Bout collection. I might squeeze in the Last of Us and WWE 2K17. Also, Monster Hunter 4/Generations on 3DS. Happy Easter guys.
@DerMeister To be fair MGS1 cutscenes are generally okay, certainly no 45 minute specials
@themcnoisy You doing the missions on C&C or just skirmish?
@kyleforrester87 Both, I'm running through the allied missions. My mate dropped his ps1 off and it still works! Looks awful on my TV though, I've letterboxed it off but it looks really washed out and blurry My mum still has a box TV in the spare room so I'm contemplating driving 10 miles just to grab that and I've already done that journey to drop off eggs.
Anyone playing Euro Fishing? If so, how do you like it? Are there boats in the game? Anyone interested in online multiplayer?
@KratosMD Maybe it's 8 with the prologue? I remember reading somewhere that it's 8 but could be wrong. Ya Class VII are great, really interesting mix of personalities I've got ToCS II waiting in the wings as well but might take a break and go back to Trails in the Sky SC, have to finish that off, got about a quarter of the way through but dropped it :/ now I've changed memory cards so have to start from scratch but I don't mind these are huge games though, I'm nearing 50 hours already!!
@Grawlog It is a pretty amazing little game. I have spent ages exploring but I just know I haven't t scratched the surface. I think I will be keeping this on the HDD and revisit it a lot.
@kyleforrester87 yeah, I read that after. Of all four directions, I pick the hardest! NG+? I'll never manage the platinum on this one!
@rjejr thanks, I have passed it on! I am in the UK and I think it is on a little earlier so will have to catch up late tonight and hope no one spoils anything on social media, even if it is just people saying they liked/hated it.
BotW, what else? Are there any other games out there? That are this good?
Kidding aside, playing this after work has become a ritual of sorts. I would like to continue to P5 after I am done with this. 80h and 80 shrines. And after beating P5 I would like to finally try Horizon.
@rjejr
My first PS4 plat. Very good game. Havent tried First Light though.
63 hours into Horizon Zero Dawn and I'm still at it (and loving every second).
Stories: The Path of Destinies.
I have had it for awhile thanks to PS+ and finally giving it a go. I'm liking it so far.
You guys said there were Frame rate dips in your review but I haven't noticed any.
That said I'm playing with Boost mode on the Pro so that might be why.
NieR, just got past desert... Interesting...
I've been playing Persona 5 and have almost finished the second dungeon. I really appreciate the attention they've paid to creating the dungeons compared to Persona 3 and 4's, which were basically just a series of corridors. I'm making good time so should have lots of free-time for social links and upping my MC's personality stats. The game is awesome but I really don't want to get burnt on it like I have other games recently, so I'm playing other things alongside it to mix it up a bit.
I finished BioShock Infinite earlier in the week so started Burial at Sea today. It runs a little poorly, which is surprising, as the main game was generally fine. I think Bioshock 1 and 2 had a bit more attention payed to them in the remaster and this is basically the PC version?
On the 3DS I'm slowly progressing through Pokémon Moon. At this rate it'll take me ages to finish. Next I'll play Steins Gate and Trails in the Sky SC, which I'm ashamed to say has been languishing on my PS3 HDD for over a year.
@Splat They wrote about the patch fixing that, funnily enough!
https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2016/12/soapbox_december_playstation_plus_may_be_disappointing_but_you_should_still_play_stories
online daily tourments really good
euro fishing
@themcnoisy Command and conquer <33
Nothing, im waiting till i have some time but work keeps me busy.
I haven't been playing anything recently, hence me not posting for a while. I keep meaning to carry on with Tales of Berseria but never get around to it. Now, if a certain FFVII Remake or DQXI would just hurry up and come out, something tells me I might find some time...
Kingdom Hearts 2 from the HD 1.5-2.5 Remix and doing the raids with friends in Destiny.
Lately I've been playing Epic Mickey (Wii) for the first time. I'm actually quite surprised at how much I've been enjoying it.
Definitely playing the sequel after I beat EM1, though I'm unsure if I should play the PS3 or Wii U version. Your thoughts @rjejr ?
@ztpayne7 @rjejr inFAMOUS is an amazing series. I already bought Second Son, even though I don't plan on owning a PS4 until BF 2018/2019. Completely depends on my PS3 backlog status by then, as well as what PS4 Slim/Pro bundles they are offering at the time...
Also thanks for reminding me about Doctor Who, though I'll probably wait until the entire season is out. I've never been a fan of them making us wait many months halfway thru the season.
@Sanquine Same here, work has been keeping me really busy. Not that I'm complaining, I do appreciate the extra hours, even if it's not that much.
@ToddlerNaruto I know some people think otherwise, but I think it's easily the most refined and fun game in the series. It was the game that first sold me on getting a PS4.
Persona 5 and Gravity Rush 2
Per
so
na
5!
Just started yesterday, when I finished ME:A...which I enjoyed a whole lot more then I innitially thought I would...
And some Overwatch here and there in between for my MP fix.
Still waiting for the codes of the humble bundle to arrive
Just completed Horizon. Been awhile since I've been sad about ending a game.
Not sure what to play next, perhaps RotOR.
@get2sammyb big fat vapid slog...That don't sound too good lol.
You may of just convinced me to skip this.
So playing NieR, and read that it gets better after first playthrough, which sounds good cuz I'm really liking it, about 8 hours in. Alot different than I thought...Kinda weird.
@Aexurion No kidding, I about teared up at the ending, lol. 😥
Not far into Battlefield 1 after taking a Horizon break. Can't say I'm that into it atm...
P5 which is good, but inbetween the action part's is sooo long and there's far to much story and reading involved, the rest is excellent. I'm just about to start Batman AK that I got on PSN sale, I need something to play when the story part's of P5 kill the game for me, hopefully I can skip those part's without to much hassle in NG+.
So this week was an Overwatch week to grind me back to Diamond! Now that it is over I'll continue my P5 playthrough, maybe install Mad Max again because I never finished...
Also I would like to make a question! Does anybody remember the price of Lego Star Wars Force Awakens when it was on one of the PSN sales? I'm interested in it but sadly it is not on the current sale...so I'm thinking if the sale price is worth over the current retail one
@Rudy_Manchego Hyper Light Drifter is my go to game now as well. So tough, but the exploration and sense of reward from finding a hidden goody or defeating a tricky boss is amazing. Right now I am trying to unlock the dash challenge in the dash shop. I did the first (100 consecutive dashes) and now the next one is the challenge... not sure how many I have to get! At least 500...
@sdavala its 800 lol. I have got to around 500-600 :/
@sinalefa I'll never get even half the trophies on 2nd Son b/c I can't bring my self to play evil. Which is probably hard to believe reading all my comments all these years but it's true.
I did get my first plat on Jak & Daxter PS3 HD version the other day though. And my last plat.
Don't know when I'll play Zelda U, probably after the summer update and I finish Rare Replay. Or maybe just wait for the holiday update, going back to FFXV every other month is kind of weird.
got the platinum in Persona 5 - 241 hours with no guides and almost 2 playthroughs - first on Normal all the way through and NG+ on the easiest one so I could farm money to fuse the compendium a lot easier - Although that guys skill that make sneak attacks instant kills with no fights and no experience was soooo annoying!
@kyleforrester87 i stuck with it... got 1041 dashes. Got a trophy and a fancy new outfit. I was hoping for a gun.
@sdavala Well done! Yeah the reward ain't worth it (think it makes dashing easier or something?) but I did want the trophy. Done NG+?
not sure if I'm going the NG+ route. Two health bars?! Yikes. You?
I'm having a time just going through and trying to unlock everything. I just opened the "Fight Club" underneath the town with all the keys.
