FF7 is too involving to me to play anything else at the moment. but maybe ? i loved the first one, played a ton. i wonder if the charm will be there with a 3rd person perspective. surely, it did the trick with risk of rain !
Honestly, Meta quest is much more appealing for a cheaper option or similar priced depending on the model. Wireless, AR, access to Steam (with refunds on crappy games). Great exercises apps not available on playstation. Half-life Alyx. PSVR was such a chore to setup... metaquest is so easy, you can even set it up with your cellphone, and stream what the person sees while playing. Plus you can set it up anywhere you have enough space. youre not stucked in front of your tv and reserve room for the psvr.
another one of those huh of course genshin was only the beginning. ive been burnt by genshin, i will not go back to another openworld anime gacha game, i know too well how much of a time sink they can be.
first one was pretty fun! not sure about the third person perspective for the second one. i kind of liked the top down view. i will see. one day. surely not now cause you know. final fantasy 7 is coming .
@themightyant yeap. you got that right. i never got to play that persona 5 royale since i bought the original at launch. and... its such a long game, i am not sure i am willing to redo it again. You can bet they will make a P3 Royale edition.
well. its very tempting. but you know, its a huge game and final fantasy 7 is coming pretty soon. So its a skip, but its in my wishlist for the future. Plus, since i played the portable version, my guess is that i will miss the extras. i hope they update that game to add it eventually.
im interested. since i already got the digital edition of the ps4 version, the upgrade is relatively cheap. but surely not now. Final Fantasy 7 is coming pretty soon, its not the time for me to start a big game
i totally agree with this. Gachas is fun, i appreciate the concept. But it got out of bound in many areas. its about time that governments put a brake on greedy companies trying to ripoff people. i hope many other countries follow the example. Just keep it simple and not too greedy !
better than having an open world just for the sake of it. large open worlds are fun the first time you travel around, then you just skip and fast travel.
@darthvirgin yeah, you can add a minute or so. still felt like it was not enough for me to have fun. its purely my own taste, im sure its not a problem for most people.
You dont see voxel action often, the physics are quite impressive. imagine with more cpu/gpu power, allowing even tinier voxel blocks. i just wish the gameplay wasnt that much aimed at time limit missions. Sometime they are way too limited to my taste.
of course its pricey, look at how complex these things are. plus, they probably dont manufacture as much of them as the regular controllers. yeah its kind of bad, but its inevitable. but at least the option is there and they made sure the quality was at the rendez-vous.
@Nalodart hahahaha sorry i re-read myself and it felt cold. not my intention. And yeah, i guess the voice acting was good. it didnt sound cringe or overacted like many other games.
@Nalodart well. yeah, i gotta give it credits for the music. it was pretty decent. But i cant agree with the story. it felt like a checklist of things patched together. Things i saw many times in many other stories.
i dont understand how you guys liked it. i mean, i played every final fantasy, i even found things i liked in final 15. But 16 ? What a total borefest. That is not what a final fantasy should be. im sorry.
i might try them the same way i did with Nintendo's. Play a couple of times for curiosity's sake, but delete them quick. The problem with mobile games is that they usually are made so you buy gacha stuff, gems or things like that. mechanics are thought for you to spend. there are some exceptions, but you can bet sony will not pass by a big money grab.
i rarely read long articles like these, but man that took me back. What a good read ! i never realized that RPGs have been the trigger that made me discover japan, animes & mangas. Also discovered that the Godzilla beast that fascinated me at very young age was Japanese and i came back at it around the ps1 era.
i did it 2 times. first at launch. Second time after the huge update. didnt go too deep into the new game mode, combat isnt that good. but every other improvements were welcome. you can bet that i will try it out a third time for this one.
ill try it for sure with psplus. but with that much games coming out, i cant afford to put 100$ on every games at launch. i might have bought it on a big sale, buy higher chances are not. game looks like a lot of fun for sure.
im a fan of musou games. but this one, i couldnt finish it. story wise, it felt like an anime OAV. you know, its not as good as the main series. A mix of fan service and a ''beach'' episode. it was fun for a while.
maybe not at launch, but eventually maybe ? similar to cyberpunk.
but honestly, i hope it wont because expectations for this game is of next-gen caliber. and it should be on ps5, with a future remaster or something of the next console generation and yet still feel better than what is made elsewhere.
What a huge disappointment this game was. i put 100$ for it, what a waste. i will not sink more money into it. i absolutely loved every other diablo games. a lot. but the fourth one has so many gameplay decisions flaws.... oh well
CRISIS CORE... i really wanted to like this game... but so much felt off. Of course i was not expecting something as high quality as FF7 remake, but Crisis core didnt stuck with me. Everything felt... static and made or based from stock assets. maybe i was too hype for something related to final fantasy 7.
Another streaming platform... yay The streaming pie is getting shared by so many companies now. it makes each piece too thin. i want a big piece with lots of choice, not 28 pieces with barely enough content to justify paying for it.
definitely in my top 5 rpgs of all time. i finished it a couple of times. This review doesnt talk about it, but this game has an exceptional amount of hidden stuff and then, some VERY hidden stuff. but like mentionned, without a guide back in the days, it was nearly impossible to find. not getting this game would be a mistake.
@JB_Whiting control huh it looked incredible indeed. thats my only hope for this remake to be good haha Cause rockstar didnt put much love in their remakes so far.
thats a fair price for a launch. i wouldnt say thin rpg mechanics is necessarly bad ? im playing nier replicant, it has pretty barebones rpg mechanics and its really good !
got great memories of max payne 1. it was THE game to play on pc when it came out. i even remember the glitchfest that was the online mod. @Randinator123 exactly my thought. A bad title, why didnt they stick to tenkaichi 4.

Well, at least they kept talented people in-house for years rather than letting them go away to other studios. Good for them i guess ?
