Up for a properly schlocky dinosaur-based shooter? Of course you are, and it's called Son and Bone. The game looks mental in its above announcement trailer, as player character Sam Judge destroys the overgrown reptiles with guns of all shapes and sizes. The bit where he rips a triceratops' horn off before shoving it into one of the beast's eyes really is something.
And if you're still not sold, have a read of this official game description: "When a local farm in Patchwork, MT is attacked by a group of notorious bandits, Sheriff Sam Judge sets out to bring them to justice by any means necessary and save the hostage they have taken. But on his journey, through the mysterious motives of those he pursues, Sam finds himself transported to another world overrun with prehistoric creatures, dinosaurs and now must fight for his life to make it back to earth." What more do you want?
Son and Bone is coming to PS5 at some point this year. It's developed by TeamKill Media, the US studio behind the admittedly middling Quantum Error, which released on Sony's current-gen console in October of last year. That's a quick turnaround!
