@11001100110zero great point. And smart developers are optimizing the games to play on older systems. I have an Omen desktop with an Intel i5 with a 1660 super graphics card with a monitor that I bought for 600 dollars at a pawn shop that plays about 95% of of Steam and GOG games. I'm playing Arc Raiders with this setup and it runs great.
@Scouse_Pirlo I'm with you on that. Revenge was the absolute best imo. Still play it occasionally to this day on my PS2. Crazy fun and the sense of speed is outrageous considering the hardware
@Logonogo I'm with you on that point. This game and the whole series has been exactly what I've looking for. No open world, excellent story that draws you in, and not a huge time commitment. And the price is perfect.
Played all 3 previous games and enjoyed them so this was an automatic preorder. Perfect length and linear was icing on the cake. Will be playing this weekend
Mafia will be purchased for sure. Replayed Mafia Definitive Edition this past weekend and was reminded why the story and gameplay are fantastic. Well worth the money IMO
A Burnout Revenge remake for PS5 would be a preorder day one. I like the dev team doing this and I enjoyed Dangerous Driving so this definitely has my attention
@PlatinumMikey I get that but ps3 had free access. You can argue the benefits for paying but I can get on steam and play for free. If PlayStation copied that model sales would improve dramatically imo
If Sony would drop the requirement for PS+ to play online I think this game and many like them would sell a lot better. Of course the gameplay can make or break a title but I'm not going to subscribe to PS+ just to be able to try this game. I already pay for Internet and I'm not paying Sony again to use the Internet I already pay for. That said the game looks interesting and I hope it does well
This was preordered initially because Rebellion makes excellent games and they are excellent developers. The premise and gameplay made this a no brainer.
Already preordered and waiting. I'm a huge Rebellion fan. They deliver with Sniper Elite and Zombie Army games. Strange Brigade was an underrated gem too.
@__jamiie I'm sounding even older lol but I started with an Atari 2600 back in the late 70s and have been playing ever since. I haven't bought a PS5 yet but I may not and that's a first. I have fired up the PS2 and PS3 and having a blast. Bought a budget gaming PC and found some good games on GOG and Steam to the point that if I get a PS5 it may be my last as well. This current generation is largely underwhelming with a few exceptions
@Deadlyblack I have done the same except I don't have a base PS5. For consoles I have been playing more PS2 and PS3 lately more than anything. That being said if I do buy a PS5 it will probably be a pro. My gaming PC with Steam and GOG I have plenty of games to play
I have been happily satisfied playing PS3 and PS2 games that I can get for a fraction of the cost for current Gen games. Also been buying games on steam and gog for cheap as well. I think the current Gen is stagnant and very bloated cost wise. I personally don't have a desire for a PS5 in its current state.
@Axelay71 tell me about it. I am beyond tired of open world and live service games. Lately I have replaying old PS3 and PS2 games and I'm having a blast.
@Avalanchee totally agree. Essential for me expires this month and I'm not renewing. The games being good or bad are debatable but upping the price to play online is ridiculous when I can play online on PC for free.
Loved Skyrim when it came out in 2011 but I don't have the time available to enjoy a game like that now. As much as Starfield sounds mildly interesting I would not buy if it was for PlayStation. I'm more into shorter, more linear games with a good story as I can only play a few hours on weekends. Not having Elder Scrolls for PS5 or Ps6 doesn't really affect me
The games are subjective to your personal taste but that price for ps+ is ridiculous. My essential tier ends in December and I will probably let it lapse.
I still to this day play NCAA 14 on my PS3. I'm in the 41st year of my franchise and it is still as fun as the first day I played it. Hopefully this new game will have the same vibes
@Cjam36 can't upvote you enough. This sounds like greed to me. And if the did buget say 10 million for the game, you can guarantee the game would be at least 89 or 99 dollars for the standard edition. And that is the lower end of the spectrum. 500 dollars and the privilege of being in the game is more than enough
@Jaz007 precisely what i was thinking. I normally don't buy a console until after the first price drop. I will eventually get a ps5 but i am more than content with ps4 and way cheaper games.
The extra controller sounds good and all but im waiting on the first price drop to buy the ps5 console. Probably never will happen but one can hope lol. I purchased my ps1, 2, 3, and 4 all after a price drop in the past
The inclusion of Solaris alone was enough reason to purchase the game. Got my 2600 way back in 1978 and have been a game head ever since. Excellent presentation and great view into the history of the company that virtually started it all

Re: Review in Progress: Wreckreation (PS5) - Single Player Feels Like Budget Burnout Paradise

Re: Need for Speed Series Isn't Dead, But Dev Now Fully Focused on Battlefield
A remaster of Burnout Revenge for modern consoles would make good money. Why they choose to leave that money on the table is beyond me
Re: Black Ops 6 Devs Walk Out, Activision Strike Makes the Local News
@Psofo simple fact. There are plenty of workers who will gladly go to an office and earn a living if that's what the company wants.
Re: Black Ops 6 Devs Walk Out, Activision Strike Makes the Local News
@TicklefistCP exactly. Not to mention most were probably perfectly fine before the pandemic going to the office.
