@hi_drnick Yeah some reviews of new games would be nice or a couple positive stories I know poo has hit the fan lately with Microsoft and Sony but some people just want to enjoy there hobby not get bogged down by the negative stories around the industry constantly.

@HoodedSpirit I'm sure they have some deal for gamepass games to keep them going over.
They will have whatever they are working on now and probably for a while locked down for gamepass considering they now own the ips.

@viktorcode The amount of layoffs all companies have made would suggest different also the shear amount of games released every single day with some peoples hopes of it turning a profit but ultimately not would also suggest different.
The growth isn't enough otherwise job security in the games industry would be considered safe rather than risky at best which it is right now.

@MrGawain Yeah I'd agree with everything you are saying there this gen definitely has a lot more life in it especially if games get properly optimization.
How do Capcom get everything at more or less 4k 60fps in amazing looking games and others can only dream of that?
Proper optimization for the consoles is why no excuses.

This is where the industry is now oversaturation of the market too many studios too many devs too much for the industry to support.

You can't really suggest boycotting something then being outraged when staff lose there jobs in said company can you?

They barely do physical games as it is.
If they do go down this route it will be in reaction to what Sony has recently announced recently.
That won't move the needle much in my opinion I think they should just stick to the plans they had beforehand.
I don't see millions leaving playstation just over physical games

@ShadowRJ I expect them to carry on as usual like I've said a lot before Sony are the market leader in gaming consoles by far they don't need to do anything just continue on what's said is said if you don't like it that's unfortunate but that's what we are doing join us on the journey if not bye.
The playstation 5 was so successful for Sony they don't really need to explain anything they are in there position of power and anyone not down with how they go forward im sure they couldn't care less about.
Just my take on it.
Next gen won't sell aswell as this gen with how the prices are going and Sony don't need to try anymore like a Xbox or even switch would to some extent.

They probably have nothing to say to be honest when they do post something it will most likely have nothing to do with the recent decision.
Also giving out about X posting not 100% truthful or accurate facts is slightly the pot and kettle isn't it!

@MrHaggi Xbox users are basically all digital anyways or at least a higher percentage of there user base is compared to playstation and there's a lot more people on playstation so chances are there's a lot more physical collectors of games on playstation so a lot more people that would be annoyed by this on playstation than would be on Xbox.

The humor is my type of humor and I love games that will give you a giggle so they are right up my street!

Expedition 33 is an amazing game I loved playing it first turn based game I've played in a long long time.
Hopefully whatever they come up with next is good!

There will definitely be an update of these laws and there should be this could be the best thing to ever happen when it comes to buying games digitally.

I played this for a couple hours and bounced straight off it but congrats on the sales that a hell of a lot!

It's sad for physical collectors but the industry has been shifting this way a while now someone had to take the first step.
Sony are in a position where they can afford to take some more risks going forward into next gen.
When the band aid first gets ripped off it hurts but only for a little bit.
I'm sure new laws around digital games ownership will be introduced with this being set in stone now.
Current laws aren't fit for purpose going forward with this happening!
Digital ownership should mean full ownership!

Personally reach is my favorite halo game of the lot that and odst since Bungie stopped making the games the series hasn't been great in my opinion

How is Microsoft allocating more funds to halo in a chaos situation this is a good thing for everyone hopefully they will add a multiplayer to the game because without it it's kinda disappointing.

Also I'd say Xbox won't get as much crap for going fully digital as there total physical sales percentage is at a much lower number compared to digital and lower total sales compared to playstation.

I know the percentage lately of physical sales are low compared to digital but we are still talking about a massive number of physical games being sold.
There should be some way for them to keep the collection going forward other than holding onto the ps5

@trev666 Yup they are there's an in depth article over on true achievements about how it will most likely be implemented and it sounds very easy.
Lending games is still possible with how they say it will work.

@BentIeyma Considering the price that next gen machines will be I'd say they will be ok for a couple years at least.
The retro market could boom when next gen drops depends how the machines and prices are received also the specs we still don't know how big a jump next gen will be.
