I argue it's just not news or shocking anymore and people should just enjoy there hobby rather than wallow in misery everytime a sacking happens.
People get sacked in every industry everyday it's life.
But no only Sony Microsoft and now Ubisoft are terrible for doing what every company and business have done since forever!

Do we have the numbers of the cleaners or security that have been sacked by this company over the last while also Microsoft and Sony if sackings is all anyone wants to talk about let's get right in there should we feel sorry for cleaning staff or just devs that get sacked maybe we should find out if anyones pet has died either due to the lay offs we could properly get to the root of this with that information!

The first avowed was so so a bit meh no many are asking for avowed 2 but another fallout or elder scrolls game people are definitely asking for.
Also why do such meh games get so much attention these days in the gaming media?
It's like the talk about the staffing sackings and sequel speculation is more entertaining than the actual games themselves!

The gaming media industry is in a terrible state nowadays nothing but doom and gloom stories and fake news!
I say turn on your system of choice and whatever game you are currently playing and see if this actually effects your enjoyment?

It's like being outraged soldiers fighting in a war could die or be harmed its just what is it.
Sackings in the games industry have been happening years now in my mind it's as surprising as Tuesday coming after Monday at this stage.

I just hope this helps people realize this is just the industry nowadays and stop people demonizing Sony or Microsoft or any other companies for doing this!

Honestly not bothered by it I think this gen has so much life in it games just need to be proper optimization for current gen machines!
Look at Capcom they make games with the consoles in mind first!
Which is why most of there games are 4k 60fps and look amazing!
Lazy optimization has held this gen back no doubt to me.

@datamonkey I just don't think 45% of people who did the poll are actually going to leave playstation for PC.
It's more expensive to build or buy a machine similar in power to the ps5 and if it's over playstations digital push PC gaming has been near enough fully digital for years now.
Just doesn't seem practical in my eyes but that's my personal opinion maybe I'm wrong but I don't think I am.

I'd say around 40% of those people are just telling a lie in fairness!

@somnambulance It's been happening a good while all these redundancies or sacking it's just the industry now.
And I would say most of us have worked in a job and seen people in higher positions with no clue not doing there job but the lower down guy gets sacked for doing less damage or harm to the company it is what it is in nearly every workplace out there my dude.
In my opinion yes be sad for your friend but cop on and get on with your job aswell be sad on your own time if you have a family to support that's your main concern not your friend at work!
Too much softness and moaning nowadays a memorial helps nobody they aren't dead and posting it online for whatever reason is just sad why does everything need to be shared with the world for sympathy?
People just love to be victims!

Sure some people literally get drones and video cameras and make and upload funeral videos edited with music and everything and upload it on social media!
For me that's disgusting but I know people who have done it!

@Sunraku Very true if a few cex shops were closed in one country over lack of business due to digital only games straight away it's worse than this in terms of effect not to mention people at the factory that make the games ship the games or drive the games to shops.
It would be fair to say it's impossible for this to be considered worse in terms of how many people will be effected.

But in this day and age there's no point in doing a gesture like that unless you can get attention and sympathy off randoms on social media and online I'd say that was the main reason for doing this at the end of the day.

I don't think there is any chance of a reverse of decision by Sony.
They really don't need too it would take millions of people hell bent against it for them to even consider it!

This is not at all surprising they take insultingly long to get these games out Skyrim was 15 years ago now fallout 4 was 10 year's ago and no sequel in sight!
Bethesda should be forced to let other studios do spin offs!
I think Todd Howard knows that if they did whatever studio would probably do a better job than them!
