I don't like doing the 12 month deal. Sure it saves money but if I'm not using it I can cancel it. If I like the look of a new month of extra I'll jump up but then straight back down. Gotta vote with your wallet. It's the only way big corporations learn.

This must the result of the 30% profit margins Microsoft were talking about.

Sounds like they could do with hiring 40 more people to finish the game.

These are the dangers of a monopoly on games sales. Ps store is the only place on playstation to buy digital games. They're free to do what they like, unfortunately

I appreciate these lists, team. I've bought many a game after seeing it's on sale from articles like this one. I see the links to the Amazon version of the game (at a much increased price), but i would love a link to the playstation store. Hopefully you could make money from sending us their way. Is Titanfall 3 coming out the week after?

I've just bought DMC for less than £9 on the psn. Looking forward to playing that. There's something about 5 that I can't get into it. I must push past it.

There's a few rules I've put on myself over the years. Always see an Edgar Wright film at the cinema, always go see the boss (Bruce Springsteen) when he's performing nearby and always buy Housemarque games day 1. They've never let me down. I trust them

That's pretty cool, but it got boring fast! I like Astro bot as much as the next person but I would like to see more playstation franchises up on that big sphere. Maybe like Kratos poking Poseidon's eyes out? Or Joel stabbing some guy in the knees to get information out of.

I thought this month would be an absolute blow out for the 30th anniversary, but that doesn't look like the case. Forspoken could make me rejoin for a month. I haven't seen that cheap enough for a buy on a whim purchase.

Jeeeez this makes me feel old! I remember getting it in 2005 after hearing how good it was. I got this and Shadow of the colossus on the same day. Didn't see daylight for weeks!

That was the easiest one I've done. Guessed the Oblivion question and the medieval one. The rest was up in the noggin, though

@thedevilsjester I see what you're saying but more and more people are going digital over physical and that number is only growing. I imagine not having the cost of disc manufacturing would be a bonus early on, but you're right, you only get one first release when most eyes are on you.

I think another contributing factor is it's a sequel to a old game from 2 consoles before. But, boy does it look pretty and atmospheric. I don't know how anyone could look at it and not want to play it.

I completely trust Remedy to produce a compelling, interesting and beautiful game in Control 2. I won't be touching the PvE game, though. Not really my style. I'm absolutely floored they've only sold 1.8 million copies of Alan Wake 2.

I would kill for a photomode patch for Syndicate, but mostly for Unity. The world Ubi created in these two games were incredibly detailed.

This is the first month I've felt like I might want ps plus back. Dead island 2 has looked great. Still £45 in the store. Mmmm tempting. I bet it'll go on sale around Halloween though.

I'm not getting the random ads yet just different artwork advertising something new in that particular game. I don't mind this approach, but if they start sticking random, disgusting ads I'll be forced to go offline. I don't like it and I don't play multiplayer so it wouldn't affect me.

Things like YouTube, Instagram and Facebook stories are so bad now. Even Amazon prime putting everyone into the advertising tier is irritating.

This is why I'll never get a chip in the brain. Unfiltered advertising. That and they'll probably arrest me with the thoughts I have

Remasters of games this old never appeal to me. The controls are never brought up to date in a satisfactory way. It's what put meet off the GTA trilogy remasters. Even Mafia 2 definitive edition was annoying to play.

Games this old deserve a remake but that's just too much of a risk for publishers to fund. Resident Evil gets away with it because it's still a relevant series.

@RudeAnimat0r I think that's another Polish studio called Fools Theory developing the Witcher 1 remake for CD Projekt.

@playstation1995 Phantom blade zero looked amazing at some showcase a few months ago. I'd forgotten about that one.

It's not surprising Sony want to invest in more Chinese developers. There's massive potential sales in the country alone. Mix that with a story known around the world and it's going to be a hit. Good for them!

@dark_knightmare2 if it's outplayed and regurgitated then doesn't that tell you not many people want this game. You're acting like it was game of the year 2015. It didn't set the world on fire then and it probably won't now. I don't think I'll ever defend a corporation. They don't care. They just want money.

I don't think you know how to have a discussion without chastising others. People have different views and opinions. We're allowed to comment on a comment board weather you agree or not.

For my 2 cents, I don't know why Sony thought to spend millions on a remake rather than a sequel or maybe spend that money on more, smaller games

As for the crickets on here; people don't live their lives on a website. We got lives of our own.

At the moment XIII is the only final fantasy game not playable on current systems. I've been working my way through the pixel remasters and I'm loving them. Nearly done with VI then I'll carry on with VII. I'd be more than happy for a remaster but I think this is a bit of a money waster for a remake. Remake XII first. No wait do VI please!

@J2theEzzo I'm 2 months clean of playstation plus and recovering well. I didn't use the service as it was intended. It really was a waste of money for me.

I've just looked and Borderlands 3 is 90% off! £6.49 Bargain!

I played the first Borderlands and loved it. 2nd game came out and couldn't stand it! Keep thinking to try the 3rd game but it looks too live service for me. Is that the case? Is it more tailored to co-op? I don't like people and would rather be a loner

I loved the original games. I re-played one of them probably 10 years ago. I couldn't carry on. The controls were just awful. So remastered doesn't sound great. Remake! Remake! Remake!

Are there any remastered games where the controls and movement been improved. The GTA trilogy was terrible too.

@UltimateOtaku91 I'm not a big Nintendo player so that explains why I've not heard of many of these. I'll keep an eye out for these games, now. My lad is getting into some great RGPs now, too. Be nice to have a new game to experience together.

@Dragoon1994 Square Enix is a publisher. They sometimes go out of their owned developers for their IP. Like Team Ninja made final fantasy stranger of paradise, even though team ninja is an independent studio. Level 5 made DQ8 and 9.

@themightyant I was just having a look at their games post 2012. I'd not heard of any of them. I just thought it was me being distracted with kids and life. I'll check out Decapolice, though.

You're spot on with the praise for Level-5. Dark cloud, Dragon Quest VIII, Rouge Galaxy and possibly one of the best games ever: Ni No Kuni: the wrath of the white witch. All within ten years or so. Plus all the Layton games. I see myself picking this up. I don't have playstation plus but I don't mind paying for the games.

@glassmusic there's a few games I'm interested in but won't ever get to. For some of these I've watched a playthrough on YouTube while I do other things, like potter around in the garage, run on the treadmill etc. The last one I did was The Outer Wilds. The controls in that game were too annoying but I wanted to see what the fuss was about. It worked for me.

My first Dragon quest was VIII. The journey of the cursed king. Loved every second of it. I played it during the 2006 world cup on my new HDTV with picture-in-picture technology! Half the screen some random match, the other half grinding out some levels on DQ8. A beer in my hand living the dream! Anyway, I got so used to auto saves on the old, fat PS3 I drunkenly turned it off without saving. Hours of grinding metal Slimes lost. Good times

Really looking forward to this. I've played 8, 9 and 11. I should really get the other ones on the ds. 4, 5 and 6?

Anyway, I was really hoping for a final fantasy IX announcement from this direct. I'd take a HD-2D version like this remake of DQIII.

Playing the FF pixel collection has got me very nostalgic.

I thought it was a great showcase. Some really interesting games announced. If I could afford an Xbox I could be tempted to get one. Hopefully they can bring more people in. Having a healthy competitor is no bad thing. It can only be good for games.

I've had this game since the good ol' PS3 days. Online has always sounded tempting but I really don't like other people. I want the content but not the social. I should really look into what Red Dead Online is like playing alone.
