@ShogunRok Great review! As a fellow long-time Tekken fan (I probably played Tekken 3 more than anything else on PS1) I'm glad this entry meets your approval.

Question about the practice mode: how would you say it stacks up compared to Tekken 7 and especially Street Fighter 6? Maybe I misunderstood, but I heard there are "sample combos" now. Are these akin to SF trials?

Looking forward to the review and @ShogunRok 's take on the full game.

@ShogunRok Good to know, thanks. I didn't get to play the betas but I heard Heat was OP for some characters back then at least. If the damage didn't stand out to you as excessive that's a relief.

@ShogunRok Great article, really sold me on getting the game day 1 pending reviews. Have you noticed any adjustments to the Heat balancing since the first betas?

@Tchunga It was my top pick too, but I think there are several reasons it wasn't quite as popular as other games.

1. The trailer was little more than a teaser.
2. It's quite a way off at 2025, as opposed to other much sooner announcements.
3. The game itself existing isn't so surprising, considering it was leaked a few years ago (and it's natural to assume given World and Rise's huge successes).

I notice the game comes out a day before FFVII Rebirth. That doesn't bode well for it.

Yeah his lower jaw does look a bit big, but honestly his voice is a bigger concern. It seems a little misdirected, a bit like an overexcited kid.

Still a fan of good old Dean though and I like the Hwoarang rivalry!

@ShogunRok I would be surprised indeed if the game already released last March.

Judging by the annoying case of the Suikoden remaster, it's definitely possible to still be left hanging as the article states.

I think the main question isn't so much WOULD we like a remake but WHEN would we get one? It's 2023 and we only have part 1/3 of the FFVII remake that was announced in 2015.

@ShogunRok I'd say probably Jun and Asuka because I've enjoyed their movesets and it's interesting how it seems the two are quite different now! Plus to be honest Asuka's story potential in terms of relation to the Mishimas has been wasted so it's good to see Jun back to fill that role.

But I also am glad to see Hwoarang back! He's been a favorite of mine since T3 back in the day. I'm also looking forward to see how his moveset has changed and what he takes from Baek, seems really good from what I've seen. Bonus points for not having the eye patch anymore which I frankly didn't like.

Even Monster Hunter is on Switch now. As much as I enjoy my own, I hope the next MH is built for PS5/XSX/PC.

@NinjaNicky Tekken 8 will almost certainly do the same. They did it with Tekken 7 with 4 different seasons of characters, many of whom were returning from previous games.

Pretty much all major fighting games do it now. But considering it's either DLC or rereleasing a whole new edition, I think we have it better now than before.

@ShogunRok Have you played the Complete Collection version on PSP? If so, how does this pixel remaster compare?

Dante seems like an easy candidate, or a monster hunter.

2. So what is the point then? Gao (who for the record doesn't deserve the harassment) said "Inauthentic casting perpetuates an unhealthy image that further dehumanises the community they seek to reflect." Seems to me she's saying the voice actor's race should match the character's. What is everyone missing here?

I still don't get why they can't announce a date for this. The game is already out on PC, this is just a port. What uncertainty is there?

@stvevan Yes, Sunbreak is an expansion DLC that you have to buy the main game to access.

@jimbouk Not to dunk on him but he's been wrong before. Last Nintendo Direct in September he said HD ports of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were going to be announced, and here we are.

@Ralizah Agreed, but in case you didn't know you can buy a pretty well-running copy of SH4 for PC on GOG.

As the article says, I think this is good for people who got the digital edition but later on decide they want to play a few discs. I have a disc edition though, so I personally don't need it.

Half between P3P and P4G. Decided to vote P4G since I would have preferred P3F.

@CRASH64 Aside from the recent rereleases of P4 Golden and Arena, this is not the same at all. Royal added tons of new features and was most certainly not a repackaging when it came out in 2020.
