4 doesn’t need a remake, the graphics and gameplay still hold up and everyone knows the twist and the secret ending

Never got into the series due to the long cutscenes and repetitive combat

Im bored of Soulslikes now but this looks good. May as well try the demo. I wish more full priced games had demos

All good choices. What’s odd is there’s no mention of Black Myth Wukong, a game that won the players choice award but which I always thought was mid and overrated. And this was the year of Balatro, a game I’ll probably be playing for the next two years

Black Mid Wukong being above Metaphor is a small but still unforgivable failure of democracy

The PS5 needs more joyful games that are easy to pick up and play like this. Most of its big games were darker and required an hour or two per session to make progress

More games on the streaming catalogue would be good

Rebirth does demand a lot of hours, still loved it though. I wish I liked Helldivers 2 as much as everyone, I just found it repetitive.

Black Mid Wukong wasn’t that great. Looked amazing but it was basically a derivative Soulslike

I wanted to like Forspoken, it had a promising start, but the gameplay and the way too many shadows made
It difficult to enjoy

@Dalamar my bad, I got it mixed up with the Players Choice one

I’m glad Balatro and Neva got awards. Players Choice was disappointing but could’ve been worse, could have been a gatcha game

@Cry_Zero a 10 should be, to an extent, groundbreaking and original. Not literally the the same game with extra makeup

@Cry_Zero because it’s not a new game. Remasters shouldn’t get 10 because it’s kind of a lazy thing to do

@MikeOrator yeah I never understood that. The remake of Demon Souls made a bit more sense but even then it seemed a bit pointless

@Aladin_Run well of course people can decide for themselves, but if these kind of remasters become popular it would further erode creativity in the gaming industry. I want this game to flop so other games don’t get prettier but the same versions, and developers work on actual new content. It’s like Disney releasing their movies again in 3D or live action, it’s lazy.

But ultimately is there any point in buying this if you've already played the original game? No new content, it’s just prettier.

This is clickbait and I fell for it.

Quite a few examples of great acting in video games- Death Stranding, GOW itself, Far Cry, the later Final Fantasy games, the voice acting in Persona, probably more if I had more time and imagination….

Not sure yet, it’s looking too similar to Persona. I like the Persona series but was hoping for something a bit more refreshing from Atlus
