@hypnotoad They cannot appeal to you, but I'm sure there are a ton of people that will enjoy it. I still have to work on Clair Obscur, but glad they keep expanding on this mode in Fortnite.
@J2theEzzo I agree with the current generation and first-party titles besides Nintendo. It feels like the PS5 generation (not available on PS4) of first-party titles was lost due to Sony’s push for live-service titles and now they are already talking about their focus on PS6 in their latest interview.
In terms of first-party games, Sony has pretty much lost this generation due to their push for live-service games. Hopefully, PS6 or the end of the PS5 era will be redeemed with quality single player games.
@ShogunRok @bluemage1989 Agree with both of you. My kids play Roblox, Fortnite and Brawlstars all day. I keep trying to get them games with stories, but the dopamine doesn't hit often enough. I'll keep enjoying my Clair Obscur and other single-player games.
@Dominator2885 Agreed, we need shorter development cycles and shorter games in general. As the average gamer age goes up, we don't have as much time as we did when we were kids, so 60+ hour games just don't appeal to me. I'm counting down the years until I retire and then have tons of time to game again, haha.
These large publishers just need to go away. All they mostly do is chase trends and try to extract as much profit in the short-term to appease the investors and not think about the long-term growth of the industry.
I've been loving my PS Portal and have definitely been gaming more this year since I got it and also moved my PS5 to my TV with the Peloton (I cycle and play games). Usually, the cloud streaming works better for me than remote play from the PS5. We finally get a sorting function, been waiting for that.
I look forward to playing it, but will wait until it's at least 50% off, which shouldn't take too long with Ubisoft's track record of sales. I bought a bunch of their older games for 70+% off in the latest Steam sale. It'll be interesting to hear what actual sales are versus number of players. I wonder how many people get a month of the UPlay subscription to play it on PC or Xbox and then cancel once they finish it.

Re: MindsEye Is Comfortably the Worst Reviewed PS5 Game of 2025
@J2theEzzo just go to the AA and indie scene. There have been plenty of great releases this year already.

Re: Deliver At All Costs (PS5) - Special Delivery with Mixed Results
Since it's already free on Epic, I can see this going to PS Plus in the future, so will wait until that happens.
Re: Stellar Blade Sequel Announced, Out by 2027
Same, been working on the backlog with Clair Obscur being the exception.

Re: Xbox RPG Avowed Should Be a Much Improved Game Once It Comes to PS5
So I should just wait until this game is a finished product.
Re: 10 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for May 2025 Announced
Not a great month, but I'm busy with Clair Obscur, so that's fine. I will play Sand Land. I was interested, but didn't want to buy it.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Forza Horizon 5 on PS5?
I play it on GamePass, but happy for the PS only people getting to enjoy it.
Re: EA Confirms Heavy Layoffs, Titanfall Game Cancelled
@viktorcode There are plenty of good publishers out there that don't try to monetize the hell out of games.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?
Playing it as soon as I finish Daxter. I refuse to leave a game mid-playthrough due to the odds of coming back to it being lower.
Re: Massive PS Plus Clearout Announced for May, 22 Games Leaving
First-party titles shouldn’t leave the service. I own inFamous Second Son, so my focus will be on the Resistance games before they leave.
Re: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5) - Daring, Quirky RPG Is an Absolute Must-Play
I have GamePass, but going to buy it on PlayStation just to support the devs. They deserve all the praise and can't believe it's only $50.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Thoughts on Potential $80 PS5 Games?
I'll just keep enjoying PS Plus and GamePass and ignore the $80 games until they go on sale.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 573
Besides working (tax season). I'll be playing Stray Blade on PS Plus since that is leaving in April and Animal Well for the same reason.
