Re: Blackpink's Lisa Is the New Global Face of PlayStation

@Pat_trick As user @naruball already put it succinctly, "if they want to attract new gamers, it's irrelevant how many Sony fans know or care about her." If you don't get it after everything that's been said then I just don't know what to tell you. And as for your last peculiar mention, my very first comment here was expressing my preference of Japan's pop artist LiSA over this Lisa from Blackpink. Blackpink have hip--hop leanings, a genre I detest. A fan, I am not, I just follow the music industry along with the video game industry and thus understand popularity and trends in each.

Although most of you acting like you've never heard of Blackpink are obviously BSing for reasons too bizarre for me to want to even try and figure out... for those genuinely very not up on popular culture for whatever reason, if you watched the new season of The White Lotus, then you've seen Lisa because she played Mook (despite being in a K-Pop group, she's actually Thai).

@Unsilenceable "Sure would be nice if most people focused on the actual game instead of a guy being on the biggest stage of his life fumbling it a bit. Was it kinda douchey? Sure. Does it really matter? No..."

He chose to wear a hat associated with individuals and ideologies many find repulsive and dangerous. They do not see it as only "fumbling it a bit" and just "kinda douchey." We live in the reality that we do and the idea of giving this game a chance is just not going to fly with a lot of people.

@ECharles Your idea just sounds at least twenty years out-of-date to me. I didn't care for what he said at all, but in the age of ubiquitous access to the uncensored internet and heavy swearing in as many mainstream games and television as it is now, I'm not sure how much time anyone spends on a theory that using the F-word is going to do much of anything for them.

Re: Bungie's Marathon PS5 Game Taking Over PlayStation Social Media Pages

MaelysSedisia

@Coffeeglitch But they never did that with it. They clarified that back in October.

"Responding to a YouTube comment regarding the hero-shooter rumors, Bungie emphasized that Marathon’s Runners will have a “couple of base abilities” with a focus on player freedom and individuality, where each player can fine-tune their loadouts and abilities instead of picking from preset “hero” characters with assigned abilities. “Our goal with Runners is to give you a couple of base abilities to build your loadout around while still giving you a lot of freedom to choose what weapons, implants, upgrades, and consumables you bring in,” the developer explained. “This won’t feel like when you just choose a hero and then get whatever weapon/abilities are assigned to them.”"
