I’m loving my portal and has allowed me to play and complete Cyberpunk, Haydes and Spiderman 2. For anyone doubting the machine I hope you can get one soon

60M PS5 is a great achievement and hope the devs can now start to tap into the power and create amazing game experiences

@get2sammyb excellent comments and spot on! Make the older titles ready to play and spruced up and see how much interest they generate. This should show Sony where to lean into certain titles

Smart move having two leaders in software and hardware. PS5 needs to truly stretch its legs as it’s an awesome piece of kit. I’m also loving my PlayStation Portal and has allowed me to enjoy Cyberpunk, Haydes and Spiderman 2 from home and away 👍🏻

£69.99 for Returnal, I’m loving having paid £19.99 on Disc a year ago.

@whitejessegpfc as a day one Portal owner I’ve loved the machine! I bought to play Cyberpunk and had a blast over 30 hours.

Anyone noticed any improvements to PlayStation Portal?

Finished Cyberpunk 2077 on my PlayStation Portal and what a fantastic experience! £199 device really excels at making it feel like your playing native on PS5

@GigaGaia I’ve played Cyberpunk, Doom Eternal and Hades with no stutter (PS5 LAN connected to router and on 5Ghz separate channel).

Which games cause you stutter?

I’ve seen zero improvement in video quality which has always been top notch. Makes me wonder people who have been suffering what’s the cause?

@Max_the_German do you have your PS5 hardwired into your router? Also you have to force the PS5 to default to LAN else it still uses WiFi even when LAN plugged in

@OmegaStriver spot on and I feel the 18 months devs usually take to get used to new hardware is probably more due to cross gen gaming. I’d say PS5 will now be hitting its stride with a 50M install base

I’m playing on my PlayStation Portal and runs fantastically well. Tough bad guy on the demo but a lot of fun. The £35 asking price feels steep and might bite when it’s £20

I’m keen to see how Sony make improvements via software updates. Maybe higher bitrates, video streaming etc…
