I read an article about Japan might not be that important to Sony. Maybe they want this year to be a slow year? I don't know the answer to that but why raising the price when you are about to launch the game that appeal to Japanese gamers the most? Maybe they want the price to be a little closer to the pro. I don't know what else to think.

Lies of P is taking a lot of my time now. Better than any of the souls games minus Demon Souls in my opinion.

I think since developers don't want to work extra hours or "crunch" anymore, this is why games are taking too long to make. So Sony is doing what they have done in all generations and made some deals. Nothing new here except games are taking longer to make

Another article to lower PS5 fans expectations. I see a trend. Spiderman 2 in my opinion is a 10 but for some reason a lot of gaming sites make sure to they put some negativity in their preview so games sell less than they should. I think they are trying to keep a balance between all consoles. For example, there is no way that Super Mario Wonder is better than Hogwarts legacy but it got nominated for game of the year. All I know is that I know that I'll enjoy this game a lot.

Spiderman 2 for me. Currently at 50% completion. Awesome game. Plus trying a lot of different games with my new ps plus premium subscription. Nobody saves the world and the original helldivers are a lot of fun

@UltimateOtaku91 Just be aware as the article states that Japan charts don't take into account digital sales. So obviously it sold more than that but we don't know how much more

Great reading! Ever since I bought the PS1 and played RE and Tomb Rider for the first time, I knew that was something special that I've never experienced before. The 2nd Uncharted game and Last of Us made me love games even more. My point is that like you said Sony has earned their success by investing in studios that have worked with them since the early days. Creating great franchises from the ground up. Great work and well deserved.

@Deljo last of us 2 is coming out on 19 Jan. with a lot of new content. That's not a Japanese game. Just saying.

@Sakai keep in mind that these are boxed charts too. It might have sold more digital

8 for me so far. Love the short missions and boss fights are really a feast. Still haven't finished it but I'm having a blast. A bigger world or levels would make it a 10

Great sales for PS5 install base of 40 million. Also, FF15 came during the Hollidays period.

It's funny how no one is talking about the price hike of Series S. If this was Sony this would've been all over the internet. The media is just mad at Sony cause they didn't show more games that are more than a year out like MS did. I think it was a good showing of what's to come with very little game play. I think that Sony is in great position with Spider-Man 2 and FF16 this year

Sony already said there will be new IPs announced. Easy yes right there and can't wait to see what those are.

I played every Suphon Filter game and enjoyed all of them and Days Gone. They are a very capable studio. Surprise me!

I'm fine with that as long as those new IPs are great and something good for PSVR2. Make me want to buy a PSVR2 this year Sony. Just need Sack boy 2 in with VR mode and Astrobot 2

Subscriptions other than PS Plus Essential are not for me. I rather buy a game and play it at my own pace. Don't have the time to play that much like when I was single with no kids. Consoles are the only way I'll keep playing games for now. Who knows, maybe everything will change 10, 15 years from now

Loving Kena so far and just started RE Village. Having a great time on both so far

I just bought Kena for. Been wanting that game for a while and could not resist the price.

Waiting on astrobot sequel. With the improvements on psvr2 there's no doubt that this game will be the best vr game ever made and a system seller for a lot of gamers. Can't wait.

At $20 will definitely get this after go through Ragnarok and my backlog. Looks great and really enjoyed this open world

Are these physical sales only or are digital also included? The article mentions that the market is shifting towards digital so I'm guessing it's physical only.

Unless they sell 10 millions the next quarter I don't see them shipping 18 millions by the end of March which is when their fiscal year ends. I think they know what they are doing and with God of War releasing next week they want this quarter to be memorable. And with Spiderman and Wolverine on the horizon they'll be in great shape

First time posting. Love my PS5 and most of Sony 1st party games. Just got Horizon Forbidden West so I'll be playing that and watching the MLB playoffs.
