@Kanji-Tatsumi Yeah Mario Kart Mobile is...really cash grappy. Dragalia Lost from Nintendo was a great example for a fair and fun Gacha Game but it gets shut down soon lol and wasnt even playable in Europe

@Dudeman1 Not sure if you can actually read but with "head up" I mean sales at the launch time lol. Since then Xbox has outsold PS5 multiple weeks btw. And if Sony even cared one bit about Japan anymore they would have improved the Stock Situation over there. So they deserve their fall from grace (:

@Dudeman1 Nah lol, the new Azure Striker for example launches on Xbox and Switch...and not Playstation for the first time in the series history. The Legend of Wright also was Xbox only at Launch and is from a Japanese Dev.

@4kgk2 PS5 had a headstart but since Sony aint shipping any consoles to Japan and the PS5 is getting even more expensive now the sales are very close in most weeks

@Dudeman1 This week PS5 actually sold 15.7k and the Xbox almost 10k. So like I said, they are very close most of the weeks. Close enough for some JP Indie Devs to skip Playstation and release it on Xbox instead

If you can just switch to PC, its not like the PS5 will have any true exclusive Game anyway. Xbox is very close to the PS5 in Japan every week now so not suprising that Sega and other Japan Devs are fine with giving them exclusives now

@thefourfoldroot1 Again, Devs have to and will make the Games playable on Series S haha. Also UE5 is optimized for Switch and Phones too so this doesnt really matter

@get2sammyb The cheaper console Versions like PS4 Slim and Xbox One S have always outsold the stronger counterparts + Switch sells 110+ Million with very aged Hardware. Combined with the strong growth of digital Game sales I think it was more "smartly interpreted how consumers consume Games"

Like other analysts already said, the Series S was the smarest move this Gen. Not impacted by Supply constrains and a very, very cheap entry into current Gen

@Dudeman1 Well the PS5 Digital is pretty much not available in EU lol, so its really not an option. And the vast, vaaast majority of Players do not care about Specs, they only want a console that plays Fifa, CoD and Fortnite (the most played/sold Games every year here), so they will go with the cheapest option available. The PS4 Slim always outsold the PS4 Pro too by a large amount too.

@Matej The whole Hardware division has been bleeding money for years tho because most people prefer the much cheaper, but still very good, Cameras by Nikon and LG/Samsung for TVs. They only have a ~10% market share on the TV market nowadays.

@thefourfoldroot1 Well then maybe they should finally cut off Divisions that have been bleeding Money for years (Camera and TV ones), scale back on their 200+ Million Dollar bloated Games and pay their CEOs a few Millions less 🙃

Ah yes, the only one of the Console Makers to raise the price of their Games is now also the only one to raise the already high price of their Consoles. Sony truly is ran by greedy idiots. Remember how "well" the Xbox One did which was 100€ more expensive than the PS4? Now in Europe you have the choice between an 249€ Xbox Series S or...an 550€ PS5 lol.

Did they maybe consider that the high Inflation also causes their costumers to have less available money for Games stuff?

This doesnt solve/make anything better because now small, new Indie Games that arent Top Sellers get burried. They should either forbid those types of Games or massively limit the amount Devs are able to submit every week (in the last 3 days alone 11 new of those Shovel Ware were added to the Store) Even the Eshop has less trash and their cheap Games at least are actual... Games.
