Battlezone and Tethered for me! Pleasantly surprised to find that most people chat in Battlezone. Must have something to do with a live mic being next to your face by default. So far, everyone's been friendly enough, even though I had no clue what I was doing.
I just hope they're quietly making the game awesome so I can go back to playing it. It seems like it could be the foundation of something really special.
@Neolit It does seem perfect for VR! Have you checked out Windlands? That might help test your sickness theory. It doesn't resemble anything you've done in real life, but man is it dizzying! In a fun way, I think.
I think it's inevitable that some people will get sick from VR, regardless of how well it works, just because your eyes and ears get tricked into thinking you're moving, but your body is standing still. And that's unfortunate, because VR is so cool! I think it's a mistake to fault VR for not matching experiences we're accustomed to from non-VR games. It's really all about presence, and hopefully that opens up new ideas of what games can be. That's the reason I die a little inside every time I hear someone say they're saving their money for the Pro. I'm sure it'll look gorgeous on an expensive tv, but it's fundamentally the same experience. I wouldn't want every game to be VR, but I hope it continues to have a place in the gaming world!
@Bluetrain7 I love Rez! Job Simulator is one I'm trying to wait on, though it looks hilarious. I have a pretty good setup for seated experiences, but standing is trickier. It seems the window where you can play and have it perform reliably is pretty small.
I'm loving it so far! The games feel so fresh and different from anything else I've played- it's hard to resist buying more than I can reasonably play. I'm curious to see how the Pro is received when it actually releases.
@Neolit Basically. In Cinema mode, the virtual screen slowly creeps to the left, so you must turn your head to follow it or, more likely, hold the Options button to re-center it. Then there's another kind of drift, occurring in VR games, where a similar thing happens but it can't be fixed by holding Options. But I've found that one can be fixed by moving closer to the camera.
@get2sammyb I bought discs for Rush of Blood and Driveclub, for the Amazon Prime discount. But it is nice to be able to change between digital games without taking off the helmet. And as others have noted, the install sizes are pretty small.
Also, has anybody been playing Battlezone? Curious about matchmaking. I ordered a disc for that as well, in part because of the enthusiasm shown about it here, but sent it back because I kept reading about how strongly it favors team play.
Loving VR so far, with Rush of Blood, Thumper and Rez being my favorites. I understand the wariness of people as far as it being a mere "gimmick," but for me it's about having unique, immersive, and often exhilirating gaming experiences. I'm nervous about long-term viability, if only because so many seem eager to dismiss it. But I'm grateful that the launch library is so broad, there's already plenty to keep me busy. It also seems to favor more modest games (as opposed to AAA epics), so hopefully there will continue to be worthwhile titles even if it doesn't take off. Can't wait to get home and play some more!
@Cryptid I won't argue that Journey deserves the top spot, but if you just walked straight for two hours, it's no surprise that you didn't enjoy it. There's a fair amount of platforming to do and secrets to find.

Re: Time to Tell Sony Which PS2 Games You Want on PS4
God Hand and Gradius V
I have a lot of affection for the ol' PS2, but these are the games I would REALLY love to play again!
