Lies of P PS5 PS4

The anticipated Lies of P sequel sounds like it's still a number of years away from releasing, but Round8 Studio has now entered the "full development phase" of the project.

Movement on the follow-up was shared as part of a financial report (via IGN), where publisher Neowiz revealed that the "prototype" for the next game was "approved".

It also confirms that sales of the original title's Overture expansion have tailed off and "stabilised", but it's already been considered a sales success. The base game has sold over four million copies since release.

Fans will be more focused on what the Lies of P sequel could entail, with the post-credits teaser providing a glimpse at what could be on its way. The first title is considered one of the best Soulslike not made by FromSoftware, and it was Round8 Studio's first attempt at the genre. A full sequel could prove fantastic.

The only concern is the potential use of AI in the follow-up.

In an 8/10-rated review, we said: "By fully embracing its dark take on the Pinocchio story, it sets itself apart from anything else available. Elevating it above other games are quality combat and extensive, satisfying customisation, turning Lies of P into a first-class experience for FromSoftware fanatics."
