From a technical perspective, one of the best games to play on the 5.

@Green-Bandit SOR4 is still the king of beatemups. Im still accidentally learning new combos on that.

@wiiware that would be dope. A grittier version of RCG's artstyle would work better.

10 years is plenty of time for Microsoft to create its own Call of Duty competitor.

I already platinumed RE4 Remake but im going for another run. I can't put it down just yet. Once Im done im either gonna start this or Burning Shores. Im not sure which one yet.

I used to be real good at fighting games, but it takes way too much time to master these days. I'll still hop on a few like Smash, Tekken, MK, or SF as a casual for fun.

I'm just happy Crash isn't locked on Microsoft 👍

Id also recommended Octopath over LAL.

@Wheatly This game is clearly timestamped. Its a novelty for gamers who played Chrono Trigger when it was new, or for gamers who appreciated that game. With that said, its a 6/10 game for me personally. The stories are fun, but the gameplay is very light. Very novelty experience for dedicated JRPG fans.

I mean, they brought back Shaq-Fu and Devil May Cry 2 keeps getting remastered every generation. Anything is possible and fair at this point.

@WallyWest Based on Mark Cerny's presentation, there was some compression techniques that the PS5's SSD can use to shrink the file size. I think the most notable size difference is Control UE on PS5 compared to PS4.

@Grumblevolcano Well we don't really know that. Maybe the file size would've been 25% bigger on a mechanical HDD.

RE 2002, the Metro games, and Kingdom Come are the biggest losses here. I'm not crazy about Kingdom Come but its a good game to play on a service like this.

@OrtadragoonX I can't disagree with the UBISOFT elements LOL. I also find linear games more refreshing these days, but it would've taken away from the side quest structure, which was the game's biggest strength for me personally.

@grapetrap i feel this was probably too "left field" for critics. People expected this to be an Evil Within FPS, but instead got a Supernatural Yakuza-like FPS. SONY fans hit it with the "Microsoft/Zenimax" tax. Sometimes its good to disconnect from "gaming politics" and just have fun and play some damn games.

I enjoyed this game more than most. Its the most alive a dead city ever felt. I will definitely be revisiting this soon.

Too many retro games and ports on here. I feel these takeaway from better games of PS4 generation.

Out of these, i own none. I plan on getting Walking Dead, Star Wars & Job Simulator at some point.

My lady bought this for me bc she knows im nice with my hands. Also, i really don't mind the campaign being short bc it is a GOOD workout. This is a lot of fun and more "ARCADEY" than I expected.

Still on my 1st playthrough on RE4 on Hardcore. Taking much longer than expected (a good thing).

No wonder Sony is trying to get into more live service games. Makes sense from this perspective.

Its a retro system for sure. Its slow, clunky, and has miserable performance that was barely acceptable even back then. As far as games go, there's a reason games like Demon Souls, Last of Us, and Dead Space are seeing remakes. The real question should be whether gaming reached a creative ceiling that generation.

I'm loving the PSVR2 but it does lack mass appeal.

This game is charming and experimental (especially for its time), but its very primitive on the gameplay side of things. I finished it on Switch its a fun novelty kind of game but its a 6/10 for me personally.

After giving it some thought, I feel Resident Evil ReRemake under the RE Engine is the best possible choice.

Awesome news. This game is growing on me. I didn't really understand the game loop until I really sat down with it and started exploring. Its clearly "Breath of the Odyssey" but its unique enough.

@Flaming_Kaiser i couldn't agree more. Imagine Returnal on PS4 🤣 The load times and haptic triggers are essential factors to that game.
