MediEvil 2 is the thing I've wanted from Premium the most, aside from native Ratchet and Clank games. If people aren't happy still with what they've added to Premium and built a good, not perfect, catalog, I'm not sure what else is wanted. Aside from R&C, most hit classics are accessible on Premium or remastered.
Well, part of the benefit I see in Plus is having access to past games added I didn't get the time for. I might want to play these some later time, but I also have a ton of older game I hadn't had a chance to play. So it's good for having your whole collection of Plus games.
Just put a bit more into it and take the common criticism. The co-op needs a bit of rework, which was what I was excited about. And it's got an adorable style to it, and those incredible animations!
I love the Premium games, but was really expecting one or two more for the Anniversary and then releasing on an odd day. I'm not even sure which games I'd expect, maybe a non-streaming God of War or Ratchet and Clank would be cool. Longshot wish would be MediEvil 2.
I am so excited! I stopped using twitter, so it sucks so many devs and such like only use that, so I miss seeing things. That sorta thing was the reason I even kept the account for a while, but just couldn't anymore
They usually send an email and app notification and I didn't get any of that today and thought it was weird. I think they could have said "soon" instead of a date when they'd release it in case something like this happened. Not much goes smoothly it seems.
My wife is hard to get back into playing anything, but she is playing Marvel Rivals with me and we are loving it! Been looking for something to fill the void after leaving Overwatch years ago and this is hitting right and is fun and has fair monetization.
It Takes Two is awesome for those who haven't played it. And I've actually wanted to try TemTem for a while. I figured it'd possibly be a fun one to play with my wife too.
Thank you for highlighting this! That's so cool and good! Also, makes ya hopeful Sony will continue to recognize their old IPs in the future a bit more. They have an amazing history, I wish they'd spotlight it!
I am still surprised it's mechanic parents and not design parents. From the obvious by looking and the comparisons that were made, it really seemed like copyright infringement in some way on that.
I never had any interest in this game and it seems edgy for the sake of it. Nothing looked fun to me about it and it seems like the "cool" thing to do is for people to defend it. I do see a clear Pokeball copy to be a copy and they are notorious for legal action so "nobody thinks they can get away with it". But, they do care about their image and someone couple get it thinking it is a Pokemon game and that could hurt their image to those people.
I had a lot of fun with this game, but was jumping to other things at the time, so I got to a point I thought was a good stopping point, and let it be for now. I've wanted to go back, but now it's off Extra. I'd like to buy it to show support anyway when I get time to jump back in. Beautiful gameplay, art, and music!
@thefourfoldroot1 I think the gameplay was fun and so were the characters, although mostly kinda blandly designed. They didn't seem to pivot to try to hype up the game or improve from beta criticism. It got so much unneeded hate and it was really sad the way people acted.
It was mostly scratching the itch I hadn't gotten from other similar games after leaving OW2, which my wife and I played a ton of OW1. But, no budge on offline modes, no new skins to get excited for, and the maps felt a bit too big on some of them. Most skins were color swaps, the cosmetics were also bland, and the cool animations were put online instead of doing more of those in-game. I wish it got a better shot, but they seemed resistant to changing things, unfortunately.
Great review! It is fair and brings up valid points. I like the pay for the game model. People just don't want devs to get paid it seems like. But then act offended when a studio is closed. I don't get that. This is a model where you can guarantee getting all of the content and future updates, but can later get extras for a few bucks if you want.
Overblown issues were about not getting the full game and about micro transactions. this is a good attempt at doing it different. My wife and I both loved the beta, but with too much going on right now and other games around the time, we plan to get it later. I wish they'd show a big cool reason to want to get seasonal or unlockable content. I wish they got more creative than some of what I've seen. I wish there was a single player mode of some kind. But, the mechanics are fun, gameplay is smooth, and I like the model. People just need to hate things and go out of their way with it. Plenty of games to not like, so just ignore what you don't like. It's so childish.
@Victor_Meldrew I actually did state a fact. With an example. Seems like you're in your feelings with dumb little comments and, again, hate. No one cares about your hate. You're really original.
@Victor_Meldrew hate is saying something is dead because it's popular to hate something. Especially not even trying it. And it was my opinion, so go ahead and chill.
It also got needless hate that spread across the internet, so people were less likely to give it a chance. I didn't even get an invite to Marvel Rivals to try it, but I enjoyed playing Concord with my wife very much. It also has a lot different going for it once you actually play it and feels unique. I bet marketing is a part too since Concord's focus felt PS5 and Rivals was announced for PC before consoles.
Excited about this! But I have plenty to play. I will look for it on maybe a holiday sale because I will need it. And I love the new additions and seeming care they put in!
Astro Bot is my favorite character and I got super excited seeing how beautiful this game is and the way they're doing it. But I also really liked Concord and Marvel Rivals and I'm glad to see some others like them too, aside from all the needless hate for Concord.
I really love God of War, but I wanted some more story in there because I'm not wanting a challenge mode right now, but still cool and it's free! And I wish the FF7 had something more to it, but it did have some good visuals.
Although I think it's kinda a silly name, I liked the trailer for The Casting of Frank Stone a lot.
This from the guy thinking he was going to buy up Nintendo? No, Im sure he fully wanted it on those platforms, but different people at the company hit reality at different times and realize it won't happen.
I use remote play when my son is falling asleep at night and it's perfect for that. But, I got the PS Edition Backbone and I love that. They announced this like shortly after that came to Android and seemed like they were undercutting their partner for this. It has the Dualsense features and larger screen, but looks awkward and it's all too much for a quiet, calm shorter gaming session at night before I turn it to the TV.
Really glad to see Parappa get acknowledged at all, but I have both of the games. Add Um Jammer Lammy and you'll have my direct attention! Add the odd stuff they own they're not sure will sell if they remaster it. That's what they should be doing with this service more.
I really loved Miles in the game. After liking him previously in the past 2 games, I really loved him in this. I do wish we got more from Peter's story. It's great they started it with him some years into being Spider-Man, but we didn't get to see enough. Then he was absent, then he was unsure of himself and in peril. I've liked the stories and character arcs, but wish we got more from him. I hope we get a Miles 2 of him sort of cementing himself being capable as a solo Spider-Man, and then a 3 game where Peter comes back after the Goblin emerges. And then we get Carnage and Goblin and, in the end, Red Goblin. I'd love that!
Amazing game and very moving though! I love the series and the love out in! Can't wait for DLC (possibly Chameleon)!
@somnambulance Astro is one of my favorite games of all time. I still feel intimidated by Returnal and I tried Dark Souls and it's not my thing. But I know the consensus has them as being loved by many, just not my type.
Ragnarok is another of my favorites ever though! It's hard to place, but 2018 might be higher for feeling a little tighter and building off of, but the ties to things and world building and story just bring Ragnarok to being a close race to me!
The Smash Bros negative is why PS All-Stars did something so different and then everyone said they should have just copied them. I'm glad it's like that. And I'm glad it looks like fun! The first one had a lot of charm and was fun, but repetitive. Glad to see the story and all the new upgrades to it!
I love Disgaea, but kinda fell out of it several games ago, despite liking the stories and characters. Like the review said about too many mechanics, that's kinda what made me drift away. I understand them keeping it new and fresh, but it became too much going on in the game. I want to get back sometime, it's a great series.
It's sad because I think it looks fun. It's not what I expected or wanted necessarily, but it looks fun. I had an initial issue with King Shark using a gun, but then realized I'd probably be frustrated having to switch characters when an enemy is flying or high up. You can still play solo, and the pass is for optional cosmetics. And Borderlands 2 I think had the always online stuff and wasn't really an inconvenience. I know it's different, but may be something the team wanted to try out. They've had a long development on this game, so there probably was higher interference, but also they probably got to really think what different they wanted to do.

Mayne integrate Stars into it a bit? Maybe a couple of rewards in that based on this game progress. I wish for trophies, but get why not. But PlayStation Stars works too I think!
I really love Persona 3. Disappointed for the lack of random anime cutscenes not in the PSP version, but excited for update look and trophies. Price a bit much, so waiting for a good sale some time. I have enough to play.
My wife and I were really excited to play this together. But if we don't get progress and trophies, I'm not sure. That's odd if we both have the game and don't both get them. I'll have to wait and see. I have plenty to play now anyways! But glad people are having fun with Evil West! I've been excited for this!

Re: PS Productions Plotting a Resident Evil Movie Reboot
Looks lined up to be good, but I'm not really a Resident Evil guy at all. I do hope it doesn't go to Netflix though.

Re: Talking Point: What Was the Best Game Announcement at The Game Awards 2024?
Probably Project Robot (I didn't catch the name, but same it in the article above) and didn't expect to see it. Wish it showed a bit more.
Then Intergalactic, Split Fiction, and Borderlands 4 for me!
