Re: Mass Layoffs at Xbox Expected to Be Confirmed on 2nd July

BiosNova

@cburg Thing is, MS is the only one trying to buy everything up to force it's own brand success (and they still failed). The FCC allowed this to happen on the notion that jobs would be protected and surprised surprise, Microsoft and Phil Spencer lied. Xbox can get in the bin, it's always been an overly American brand to the extent it's cringe worthy, at this stage it gives nothing to the industry, it only takes.

Re: Xbox to Blame for The Outer Worlds 2's Devastating $80 PS5 Price Point

@Northern_munkey I wouldn't say odd. Different items yes but both are luxury items. I don't complain I can't afford a Bently just because I've driven cars for years.

Just because I've gamed for years doesn't mean I think prices should stay the same forever (which to be fair, games have resisted inflation for decades and we are STILL not back to prices from the late 80's early 90's).

Re: Don't Expect The Witcher 4 to Look Like That Unreal Tech Demo When It Launches on PS5

Too late, the damage is done. They released a statement hours after they knew this would do the rounds. If they really wanted people to know this, they would have stated it during the presentation.

They even went as far to show someone holding a DualSense to make it look like it was being played in real time. In reality, it looked like an E3 era type on-rails bullshot demo.

Don't forget, gamers have VERY short memories and they've already forgotten the disaster that was the launch of CyberPunk 2077 (in case people forgot, it was removed from the PS store it was so poor).

Many gamers do not know the difference between "technical demo" and "gameplay demo". You can already see people getting overly excited on the Witcher subreddit.

Re: The Witcher 4 Gameplay Revealed, Running on PS5 at 60fps with Ray Tracing

While this may look good, the entire thing is a scripted "bullshot". Do NOT forget the amount of lies and fake gameplay shown for Cyberpunk.

The entire presentation sounded like a 2008 E3 demo. "The world is responsive" scripted event happens. We see this each year, they always oversell how "immsersive" the world is. While we can be excited for the game, keep expectations in check.
