Re: Talking Point: Is PS5 Pro Way Too Expensive?

Bamila

I think paying a thousand euros for a full package with 1 extra controller, a stand and disk drive for a console is insane.

You are well off getting a pc/laptop for that price that won't lock you out of online play, won't need "get online in n time or your console is useless and won't even play offline games until you do so" and the disk drive reader cost like 20 dollars on Amazon if you really need it.

Sony is making it to be a premium product for gaming, but is it really?

I was day one for PS4 pro and I think it was really good deal and made gaming for the last 3 years a much better experience overall for me, but ps5 pro price is just out of this world.

I don't even think the 45% GPU improvement is that big of a deal to have console cost from original 500 euros all the way to 950 euros with a disk drive and a stand. Double the price...???? Even if I sell my OG PS4 for 400 euros, it will still net me 550 euros. Basically buying a whole new console... That is just wild in my head.

For me to get PS4 pro cost me less than 200 euros after I sold my OG PS4..

Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November

Bamila

Just to add up, in 3-4 years we will be buzzing around ps6 and what base price point will it come up to? 700?? That's stupid. That's not what gaming consoles were all about. With these prices it sure looks like they might soon face the last of consoles, as Microsoft already gave up.

That's insane. I think it will fail ultimately. I don't expect it to sell better than the first VR sold and way less than PS4 pro did. Way less. Not for that price. If you want disk drive that's 900 euros. That's insane. Add another pair of 🎮 and it is 1000, you can buy a PC that's probably similarly capable to run, plus you can upgrade it down the line. Much larger game library and in general just superior all round..

I was super stoked for the PS5 pro, but not for this ridiculous out of touch price.

Re: Astro Bot PS5 Sales 'Aren't Huge' in UK, But There's Still Hope

Bamila

I have been following the top games in UK on PSN for the past 4 days and haven't seen astro entering it once. So it's no surprise. However I hope that the sales are decent enough, at least judging from psn store review numbers you could somewhat paint a picture. Wukong has 92k ratings and sold about 18million copies with PC included.

Astro sits just over 11k votes and is on PS5 only. Compared to other recent games that are usually big like NBA and Star wars the reviews are like 5-6 times bigger than those games. Even the likes of space marine 2 doesn't have anywhere as close..

While we can't take it for granted, but it can paint somewhat of a picture.

Re: Free EA Sports FC 25 Rival UFL Kicks Off on 12th September

I played the beta and it honestly didn't do much impressions to me. Graphically speaking it was an obvious downgrade even if it's UE5, gameplay was also lacking in comparison, however it felt a lot more snappy and transparent.

Also I enjoyed their way of dealing latency and pocket loss much more over the "compensation" on FIFA side. EA literally plays the game for you when you have low connection and this game feels like when you have ***** connection you will just see game "skip frames" rather than game favouring you just because you have a bad connection.

There was still some kind of mud running, but FIFA is notorious to have it with their very mediocre servers.

I wonder if these guys will manage to provide a better experience once masses will connect at the same time.

Edit. To summarize I think this is weakest simulator of the football, as Konami E-Football is still better at gameplay and EA is still best football experience overall if you consider not to play FUT but focus on solo career.

Re: Days Gone Team Apologises for 'False Hope' of PS5 Sequel After Misleading Headlines, Comments

I actually think of it as a game "what if". It's a decent game in my books and really should have been played more. But I don't think it's a spectacular game. I have tried to beat the game fully twice and both times quit at around 20hrs mark, so basically never finished the story nor all side quests. Something felt slightly off with traversal to me,or more like map world felt a bit too constrained. Felt like a very linear open world. Almost like far cry 2

Re: FromSoftware Boss Puts Elden Ring Difficulty Discourse to Bed, Once and For All

Bamila

I haven't played a single game of their in my life, but this sounds like a complete opposite of "gaming is for everyone". If I decide to buy a game and I can't for whatever reason play it because it's just too hard, then my money is wasted just because Devs refuse to make it accessible for everyone despite their skill.

Besides, not everyone wants to sweat try hard to beat the games.

Only game I ever remember to actually being worth to play all the way on god of war difficulty is actual 2018 god of war. That walkyrie boss was a bitch.
