He's right, I have an Xbox and it is kinda dead.
Microsoft are slowly changing tactic to just be the biggest games publisher. No one buys games on the console as they've trained people to use GP. So why would you bother releasing a new game on its tj y user base

The majority of Xbox only owners have no interest in paying big money for FF. They wouldn't be Xbox only players if they had an affinity for that ip.
Square are kidding themselves, they need to look at their insane budgets for these FF games that started with 13 and 13 versus (15)

Didn't see anything, in comparison Ragnarok or Spider-Man which was everywhere, buses, tv, cinema etc

Quick Google search shows no UK tv ads or cinema spots for SB, certainly no billboards I've seen either

True, although the second party exclusive output has been strong this year I don't recall Sony bothering to really market helldiver's, ronin, stellar blade or Pacific drive.
That's a very strong exclusive line up yet I expect they'll go all in on concord

Ff15 was out on everything thing, and the tomb raider games , and avengers and they still weren't happy with sales, and they won't be again when the next final fantasy releases on everything and no one buys it on Xbox because they're waiting for gamespass release.
SE just needs to release their games arent as popular today

As an Xbox owner I don't particularly like it purely because I feels like I wasted money owning 2 consoles.
But it is what it is, I know not to buy an Xbox in future

Not really a scam, everyone knows how these things work since Netflix rocked up.
It's a decent way to try many games over a period you likely would never buy
And there's generally more than enough time to finish games on the service you really like.
Ultimately tho you should just buy the games that you really want.

Different tastes there, as the series has moved to be more a WRPG as has the sales been in decline since 15.
In the West however if expect this game to sell about as well as 7 remake

It's not gonna work on switch so there's not much square cam do to boost sales further

These are ALL SONY PUBLISHED and owned.
you may see final fantasy rebirth in a decade since there's not even a hint at remake being on Xbox so good look waiting for that.

Tell you what since you enjoy waiting years because "timed exclusives have no value" I remembered another playstation only game this year, silent hill 2. you may be able to play that next year on Xbox I guess.
Maybe you're still waiting decades later for that metal gear solid 4 timed exclusive to head to Xbox too

It feels like playstation in last few years geared up to become a big producer of online games at great cost including bunjie purchase.
And now there's been a switch to reduce that massively and return to what they traditionally do .
London studio and their fantasy GaaS game wiped out, last of us online gone hence layoffs at naughty dog also , suspect the gurrelia layoffs are horizon online , fire sprite twisted metal etc etc
