Almost a shame it's not arriving before Christmas as the original released around now. I recall playing and loving it over the Christmas holidays and to do so again would be kind of meta.
"This being a roguelike, you'll be able to unlock new weapons and modify them with all kinds of modular add-ons, changing elemental effects, damage output, and plenty more."
Nope. It's not that hard. A steel book case and a hard cover art book like the old days (3 years ago). Art cards, poster, sticker? It's embarrassing. Suspect they are making 1,000 copies too many of these titles.
However......I shouldn't pick on Lost in Cult as I am looking forward to their Ultros and Animal Well books so I wish them luck with this. It was more a comment on standard, special. limited, collector editions.
No copies at major Australian retailers so I ordered on import a few days ago and now see its delayed. Thanks for head-up I will cancel and wait for local.
Not unusual for low(ish) profile games to have limited supply (Khazan is another). Kind of reminds me as CDs were dying the production runs got smaller and smaller and you had to start buying from specialty shops or direct from labels.
I quite like the way it looks and I am looking forward to the limited edition controller but as others have said I wish there was a single player campaign like in the old days when games had both. Buy for the single stay for the multi. As it is I won't be extracting my credit card for this one unfortunately.
"Are you excited to watch? Tell us in the comments section below."
Not particularly. My friends and I found S1 a bit underwhelming and light on the infected. I am a big fan of the games but my friends aren't gamers. I suspect I will be watching S2 alone.
Regarding the subject of the article. Not particularly concerned about actors appearances, more concerned about their abilities.
@Perturbator I have the Famicom Salamander cart which is transparent blue and Gradius II which came in a nice silver foil box. Two of my all-time favorite games.
@TruestoryYep "The Chinese Room has never done a game before that has any gameplay beyond walking." Harsh but probably true. I really enjoyed Still Wakes the Deep particularly for the atmosphere. In a sense it was Rapture but more fast paced. Hoping they can pull this off.
"Hopefully it can retain that momentum and find a spot for itself in the crowded live service space." Why hopefully? Don't you mean "It will be interesting to see if it can retain that momentum and find a spot for itself in the crowded live service space?
"The company's current-gen virtual reality hardware hasn't really been getting the marketing push it deserves" or the (first party) software support that was hoped for.
Love Rebellion, been with them since AvP on the Jaguar, Dredd/Death and RT on the PS2, Sniper, ZAT and Strange Brigade. Sure they stick to a theme and the games sometimes seem reskinned but their IPs are great and really hope this new one is a success.
@kcarnes9051 At the time I thought it was a bit of a test for a major release but they did let it go on a bit too long as digital only so maybe something contractual with publisher (it's almost 12 months to the day). Black Myth didn't take long to get a physical release (not that it has shown up yet) but interesting comparison.
@kcarnes9051 I can't believe how expensive the physical release is (in Australia at least) for a year old game. Cheapest copy $109 (retail $129), uh wah? Sure it has DLC and virts but normally (well in the beforetime) a year later that would have been a game of the year version at a nice price.
@JokerBoy322 Clicked on article to see the "absolutely insane" comparisons and found a PC screenshot with no indication if it is indicative of NPC density on PS5 and a shot of a door and a landscape with more vegetation. I understand why you are not impressed.
@get2sammyb I only managed to get the controller too but I won't be opening it as I just opened the Astro Bot one. I also won't be selling it cos I am one of those strange people that collects controllers (and consoles). It's a depressing hobby sometimes.
@Fartingale I have similarly owned most consoles over the decades back as far as the 2600. The Series X is also the first console I regretted buying. My biggest regret however would have to be the PSVR2.

My R-Type Delta: HD Boosted R-TYPER's EDITION should be arriving from Japan next week, must resist urge to buy digital. Suspect I will fail.

Not sure why the term body horror is being used, it's just gore.
Re: Finally, a Line of Physical PS5 Games Where the Packaging Is Beautiful and the Full Experience Is Actually on the Disc
@Czar_Khastik Hate the way the in-between has disappeared. Digital extras or a statue.

@Shepherd_Tallon Agree, but I guess they could end up with quite a few IPs if not the developers/studios, depending on legal arrangements.

Kadokawa Shoten is huge. Well when I was younger their name was on everything manga.
