Re: Sony Reiterates Stance on PS Plus Day One Releases, Believes in Premium Launches

@Ravix I get that. 2023 seems like it’ll be a good year for them. Fingers crossed lol. It hasn’t been great for 1st party. Most of the game stay on there for nearly a year, a few even renew for second term and continue on. I still buy games. My favorite thing is finding a game I wouldn’t have noticed, or tried. Any game on the service also gets an automatic 20% discount, literally the day it’s added. So for me it’s true, I do actually buy more games. It’s growing my backlog for this upcoming winter too, so that’ll keep me busy.

I agree again, besides the main three franchises, there hasn’t been much 1st party to draw me in.

I’m going to snag a PS5 soonish, and want to try the new Plus out. Funny enough my favorite thing about OG PSNow was getting to rent the games. You could rent them for different time periods, as short as four hours. My Vita collection just collects dust, sits in a box, and doesn’t do anything for me. So collecting and owning isn’t really for me.

I’d definitely keep your eye out on that website at least, worth scrolling through here and there. Peace.

@__jamiie I know subs aren’t a popular thing with many. But I like this. I don’t want to stick with just one box, but I have a full time job and a house. Im busy. I get to game MAYBE, 3 to 4 hours a week.

Being able avoid $1,000 bucks plus, just to enjoy games is nice. I’d rather spend it elsewhere. So for me being able to just sub here and there is awesome, and worth it. If I toss down 10 bucks a month and get, say, 20 hours of enjoyment out of it, the. It’s worth it. I don’t want to OWN every damn thing out there. I have a small physical collection, and I don’t see a point in adding more. I don’t want to pay 50+ bucks, for something I might touch twice.

So yeah man, anything that makes it easy for ME? I’m all for.

@mucc no they haven’t. Also you can earn Microsoft just by playing games and doing the bing quizzes. Honestly Bing is not bad, it’s waaaay less advertising than Google. Anywho. By using it and doing the Gamepass quests you can continue to earn points, and can redeem for sore credit. I haven’t paid for Gamepass in nearly 2 years.

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's Latest State of Play Livestream?

@Abrothers587 Two things. First if Xbox has “no exclusives” because they all come to PC… doesn’t that make all PS Exclusives “Timed Exclusives”? Really… even if it’s a couple of yours, that’s still a countdown. That means their all Timed.

Second, with PSNow having 800+ games, and most of those being old, then PSNOW would actually have a larger ratio old “old ass” games “no one likes”.

Bonus. If PSNOW is a killer, why has it taken it 6 years, and having its price cut in HALF just for it to finally come close to 4 million subs. When Gamepass is resting at over 23 million in less than four years.

You can prefer one to the other, but no dude Gamepass really is a better deal.

@kingbreww Remember it was a small team Internally. And that each game had to be tested, and permission received from the license holder. So far with 360, and OG Xbox they have about 616 as I counted. Program ran from 2015 to 2019.
That’s almost 13 games a month, 154 a year.

It’s actually really impressive. They paused in order to focus on ensure Xbox One games worked with Xbox X/S, but plan on returning after. Really it’s actually quite impressive.
