Excellent show, I thought. Really well paced and presented, and the content looks fantastic.
Yes yes yes!
Ever so slightly let down by the lack of release dates, but that was a really, really great conference filled with big new games and a ton of smaller, interesting titles.
Super happy with that!
We're never getting Bloodborne 2, are we?
Detroit was intense. Won my purchase right there. My Kara will take the fall for the murder!
That was fantastic!
I'm not going to say I wouldn't be gaming if it wasn't for Sony, but they are a BIG reason I do.
Single player till I die!!
Word up Son!!
Give me a moment to digest all that!
showed some good games although i was disappointed there was no FFVII Remake trailer
that Ghost of Tsushima looks interesting so does Spider-Man and God of War
Detroit look interesting but i wanna find out more before i commit to that one
not interested in The Last of Us 2, didn't like the first one and i don't have a VR so none of those games interest me either
No info on WiLD again 😑 I think I am just going to assume that it's never coming out
I thought it was very well done. To drop TLoU Part 2 footage here and not PSX was bold and i like it. Detroit is mind blowing and Jam Spiderman is gonna be awesome! Well done Sony.
OH MY GOD ALOY'S IN MONSTER HUNTER!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!
Sorry. Had to get that out.
It was a good conference, games like The Last of Us 2, God of War, Spider-Man and Detroit look great, Ghost of Tsushima looks incredible too.
Shadow of the Colossus is day one already. Games like Oure, Moss and Concrete Genie look interesting.
I was expecting info for games like Wild and Dreams...
The last game I bought on Day One was Dark Souls 3 but Monster Hunter may be the next one.
Many great games confirmed.
Both SP's game, Ghost, and The Last of Us were a big surprise to me. Shadow of the Colossus looks as good as ever, and Concrete Genie looks pretty cool too.
I thought it was great and well paced, I would've love to see a Pro price drop but I really think their PGW was so better than their E3
Also was surprised that Ghost of Tsushima was being done by SP and not Sony Japan or someone else.
Not really many suprises there was expecting more after E3 being so terrible. More footage of games we heard about previously. I thought Sony would want to make a bigger splash but I was wrong.
2018 is going to be amazing for PS4 !
I wouldn't say it was magnificent as most of the games were just 'new' game-play trailers. Whilst these games , GoW, Spider-Man, Detroit - even the Last of Us 2 looked great and some much 'darker' than expected, its not as 'exciting' as a 'new' reveal.
I predicted beforehand that Sucker Punch would show their new project but would never have expected it to be a Samurai in Feudal Japan - something that greatly intrigued me. D2's new DLC was also predicted. I don't think it helped by watching the pre-show as a lot of the 'new' reveals were shown .
I am not saying the Show was 'weak' or that the games themselves were 'poor' but it wasn't like E32016 where we had 'new' reveal after new reveal - more consolidating on what we already new. Its a shame that most of these, especially as they have appeared time and time again at E3, PSX etc didn't get 'nailed down' release dates.
Some of the predictions - like Price Drops, updates on Dreams and Wild etc never transpired either and when they said they were going to show their final game, I was left thinking - is that it? instead of feeling 'wow, there is even more'.
Only Ghost of Tsushima will be added to my 'wanted' list - All the others I want are already on that list before PSX.
As I said, it wasn't magnificent because most of it was known but it was still solid and good.
GHOST OF TSUSHIMA! WORD UP SON!
I loved the VR support...and a proper London Heist!!!
My expectations/hopes/wishes
1. The reveal of FromSoftware or Sucker Punch Production
2. confirmed release date for God of War, Days Gone, Detroit: Become Human and Spider-Man.
Well, at least half of my wishes were cared of. Sucker Punch babyyyyyyy
Yeah, Sony delivered. Even better than I expected, and I was already expecting good things.
Meh...
It felt like a sequel to thier 2017 E3 at least on the main show least they kinda got some Indies n cared a bit for Indie games...
Didn’t sell me on a PlayStation VR tho...
Least they showed LoU2...
Absolutely shocked that there's Pro price cut which tells me that their not worried about the competition.
Ghost of Tsushima? Wow never saw that coming from Sucker Punch, also am I the only one who thought it was a new Onimusha?
As for Monster Hunter, well kudos to Capcom, if you wanted to get me interested in a MH game you stick Aloy in it.
It's also become obvious now that Sony will not announce release dates till their inside 4 months from launch.
Welcome back PixelOpus after talking about them with some of you on here.
The show seemed to show more story focused trailers so maybe gameplay ones at PSX.
Sad to see that there was no WilD and Dreams but still one more show to go.
Also HELL YEAH new Motorstorm style game, must what the ex developers at Evolution have been doing.
I thought it was good. TLOU2 looks great, Spider-Man and God of War continue to look great, and Ghost of Tsushima was definitely intriguing. Hopefully we will have a concrete release date for God of War at PSX, since that is early 2018.
Media Molecule has gone MIA.
Okay at best. Basically a repeat of E3 with a few new things thrown in. Not quite the show they built it up to be.
@get2sammyb Lets just say I didn't regret tuning in, there was something for everyone....
Strange that Days Gone was missing... Also I am worried for MM...
@Dodoo Yeah, I'm a bit surprised there was no Dreams, too. They tweeted afterwards, though, I'm sure everything's good. They're doing something that's never been done before so it's going to take time.
@get2sammyb Yeah true though Sony seem to like closing down the UK studios so I hope it sells well whenever it comes out!
I didn't actually watch the stream, but Ghost of Tsushima looks interesting. I'm always down for a new Sucker Punch game.
Haven't been able to watch the conference yet in full, but it seemed like a really good conference to me. Some great new trailers, and the sticker punch game looks all kinds of awesome. Gameplay or not, it's a day one buy for me. The ONIMUSHA game that capcom have neglected to provide for years. Surprised at the lack of ps4 price drop and lack of dreams update mind!
I voted "meh". It simply didn't live up to the expectations Sony set with their last minute hype.
That said, I'm excited about Ghost of Sashimi, and Spidey and GoW looked as good as expected. But let's be honest, most everything else new was AA/Indie level.
Oh, and The Last of Us 2 is clearly going to be WAY too dark for me to be interested.
@BAMozzy 'Thanks' for your 'opinion'.
I didn't watch the conference, but from what I can see not enough new stuff or real surprises beyond Sucker Punches new game. Still, gaming's good right now so no real complaint.
It was a Really good show. Sony made a awesome night with the games wich i wanted to see at E3 but... Anyway now they're here and i can enjoy trailers. What i like about CF is they showes indie and VR games before the show and they diden't really wasted our time. I mean it was just a little show for europe market , we could not Expect something big like E3 or others , i think it was even better than E3. We diden't saw new things ( eeeeh just sucker punch?! ) but that was good and made fun for my night
We saw TLOU here so now we can make sure Death Stranding will be at psx 💗
Oops! I thought this was later on? I was working during it apparently. Can’t wait to get caught up on all the videos tonight! Actually works out sort of better. Is there a way to watch the whole conference at a later time (I.e. when I get home tonight) instead of through each article? Don’t worry - I’ll come back after to comment 😄
@get2sammyb Sony lived up to there word "This is for the players" and "Greatness Awaits" also Far cry 5 had something about co-op play through whole game.
I loved that The Last Of Us 2 trailer. So what if it was a bit dark and violent, it was bloody fantastic!
kind of expected price drops to €199/€299 for base/pro to be announced. as for the show.. seemed like a matter of damned if they did, damned if they didn't, with regards to previously shown games. "we've seen all these before.." / "where's new footage of..." (as evidenced by comments referring to dreams, wild, FFVII remake, etc..). sucker punch was about the only first party studio whose project wasn't known, so expecting lots of new game announcements was unrealistic.. and if there are 3rd-party collaborations in the works, they'd be more likely to be shown at PSX imo.
The Hong Kong Massacre reminds of loaded/reloaded am interested, another one on the list, at this rate am gonna have 2 remortgage the house.
Really wanted to c anything from Days Gone! But Ghost of Tsushima looks awesome & it's open world!
@StArHaMa That occurred to me, as well.
Fantastic event. Easily the best Paris show for Sony to date. Better than several E3's too. Mom's spaghetti.
@Cpt_Price Yes!
All that was shown was good but not really anything new other than Sucker Punch's new title. VR support was good and I liked the look of several indies.
Only just watched the show but wow so many game trailers that blew me away!
I'm so glad Sucker Punch has finally revealed the game they have been working on too...ok so I was hoping for another Infamous or Sly but Ghost Of Sushi or whatever it was called was a big surprise and it looked ace!
And being a lucky owner of a PSVR seeing all the games coming out for it gives me great confidence in its future support. But Damn,Moss can't come soon enough
I really liked this press conference. I’m hyped for SP’s Ghost of Tsushima (Could’ve had a better title), but it still needs to show what makes it different from Onimusha, NiOh or Ninja Gaiden. Happy for Drinkbox are making Guacamelee 2. Can’t wait for SotC. I don’t need to see more Detroit, GoW or TLOUP2. I think we’ll get hard release dates of GoW and Detroit and more on Dreams and Days Gone at PSX.
It was good, can be better though by showing release date for god of war, detroid, and spiderman, also last of us 2 and ghost of tsushima gameplay.
And the indie megaton (spelunky 2 and guacamelee 2) is nice
In a vacuum with no competition, I’d be pretty excited about the incoming PS4 games, but personally I find it hard to get excited about Sony’s stuff when Nintendo have been doing so well at distracting me. I like the look of the Shadow of the Colossus port, but I’m a little concerned how we keep seeing similar previews of Spider-Man and GOW. After Breath of The Wild and Mario, it’s all a little underwhelming at the moment.
@Enuo Absolutely. Totally changed my mind about the game.
For me the big wait is for Ghost of Tsushima. I wonder if the main protagonist will be a ghost of some form - to give the story another dimension and make it more than a cut-n-slash.
I'd rate it somewhere between "meh" and "good" personally.
Very short conference. Lots of repeated content from E3 (which was already a disappointing show in itself), but there was a lot of merit to be found in the new announcements like Ghost of Sashimi, Concrete Genie and various stuff from the pre-show, while Spider-Man, Detroit and TLoU 2 got some truly excellent trailers. So it was worth watching all in all, but I can't help feeling that Sony are still holding back.
@JoeBlogs I hope these games isn't delayed
@MrGawain Nintendo switch is great console but there's only 2 must-have game for the console (mario & zelda). Remember, this paris games week is for future sony 2018 games, we already got a lot of ps4 exclusives this year.
Better than E3, no contest imo.
