Where are the Hidden Altars in Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut? These unmarked locations are places where Jin can bow, resulting in an often comical visual effect. You need to find 10 of these altars in order to unlock the Honour the Unseen Trophy. In this Ghost of Tsushima guide, we're going to show you how to find 10 Hidden Altars. But please note that there are actually more than 10 Hidden Altars in the game. The easiest ones to find are the ones that are accompanied by small signposts that show a silhouette of someone bowing. But there are other Altars that have no such signposts.
In order to make Jin bow, simply swipe down on the touchpad.
Ghost of Tsushima: All Hidden Altars Locations
Below we've listed 10 Hidden Altars that we managed to find during our time playing Ghost of Tsushima. We've organised these Hidden Altars by Act.
Ghost of Tsushima: Hidden Altars in Act 1
These are the Hidden Altars that we managed to find in Act 1.
Hidden Altar 1
The first Hidden Altar we found in Act 1 is clearly visible during the Mythic Tale 'The Legend of Tadayori'.
Hidden Altar 2
The second Hidden Altar we found in Act 1 is on a dock in Kechi Fishing Village. Find the village, and then head towards the nearby river.
Hidden Altar 3
The third Hidden Altar we found in Act 1 is on a beach near Kaneda Castle. Skirt around the castle to the left in order to find the beach.
Hidden Altar 4
The fourth Hidden Altar we found in Act 1 is located near a large inn surrounded by red flowers. It's right next to where it says 'Kashine Hills' on the map.
Ghost of Tsushima: Hidden Altars in Act 2
These are the Hidden Altars that we managed to find in Act 2.
Hidden Altar 5
The first Hidden Altar we found in Act 2 is in the marshlands. It's found East of Numanaka Inn.
Hidden Altar 6
The second Hidden Altar we found in Act 2 is in the marshlands (again). It's to the south of Hidden Altar 5, right next to a Pillar of Honour.
Hidden Altar 7
The third Hidden Altar we found in Act 2 is to the South East of Yarikawa. It's right near the beginning of the nearest Shinto Shrine.
Hidden Altar 8
The fourth Hidden Altar we found in Act 2 is located in the hidden town of Umugi Cove. It's at the beginning of the boardwalk that leads into town.
Hidden Altar 9
The fifth Hidden Altar we found in Act 2 is at the edge of Omi Lake, just South of Omi Village. It's on a small fishing dock.
Hidden Altar 10
The sixth Hidden Altar we found in Act 2 is also located at the edge of Omi Lake. This time, the altar is further South of Hidden Altar 9. It's on a dock right next to the red leaf tree that Jin and his uncle practised under during the prologue of the game.

Just so you all know, you have the second altar un Act 1 located at "Kishi" Fishing Village when in fact it's "Kechi" Fishing Village. Just a heads up because it confused me for a moment, so hopefully we can possibly save others from confusion.

Are there more than 10 alters in the game? Or are these 10 you have shown us all of them? I am currently clearing up and going for the Platinum. Loved this game- you know when you have enjoyed a game, it is like a good book, you don't want it to end.

There are two hidden bow frog altars in Act 1, to the shrine near Hiyoshi springs. I discovered them by accident, before knowing about the trophy, and was surprised when I bowed and all those frogs appeared. It’s on the way to the top of the Mending Rock Shrine, the first two frog statues you find on Jin’s right, before going too deep in the shrine path
There's more than 10 alters. I finished the game and this was the last trophy I needed and since I already put 80 hours into the play through i didnt feel like spending more time looking for these so I looked them up. I did the first 5 and got the trophy. When looking at the remaining 5 I saw that I have never been to them. I remember seeing the first 5 I did but not the location. I'm guessing they only said 10 for the trophy because there's probably a bunch that are well hidden.
***SPOILERS AHEAD*** In act 2 after the death of taka, his grave also serves as a hidden alter. I went to it to play lament of the storm and bowed out of respect and the same animation as the tadayori’s alter plays.
