With that amazing work over the last few weeks we are now on a break until next Weekend. Once there we will continue to arrange the remaining 110 Pointless games as its just too many games to randomize.

So there we go we have 440 locked games out of a possible 1150 Pal and NTSC games. Not bad team see you next week.

Good to see Sonic 06 in the correct place!

@themcnoisy Whilst I'm deeply flattered that you've suggested me to Sammy, I'm not sure I can write an article that defends the injustice of placing Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) below Get Fit with Mel B, the Cabela games and pretty much every other game on that list.

All fun and jokes aside, I'm actually pretty shocked at that outcome. Just goes to show the power of the internet in perpetuating and escalating an erroneous reputation.

But hey, that's democracy for you!

@Frigate Pointless is a bit harsh for it. I kind of wish we had an appeal to fix stuff like that. There are few games that aren’t bad enough at all to be on the pointless list

I've never played Sonic '06. It can't be that bad can it?

I'm going to make a point of playing it now. Of course this means I'll have to play Get Fit With Mel B as well, just so I can compare the two. My opinion of Sonic may hit rock bottom, but I'll be able to console myself by having the ripped abs of a Spice Girl.

@RogerRoger Will do. I had a look in CEX today, they're asking for a tenner, which is a bit more than I'm willing to pay. If I encounter it cheap I might bite.

Also, the recommended age is 12+. I'm thinking it'd be a good summer holiday game to play with the kids, how dark is this reboot exactly? Has Sonic taken to hitting baddies with a snooker ball in a sock? Is Tails a recovering crack addict?

EDIT Oh and there was no sign of Get Fit With Mel B anywhere, more's the pity.

@Gremio108 Well, a third of its gameplay does feature the Ultimate Edgelord, Shadow the Hedgehog, who may or may not say "damn" at some point.

There's also this whole thing about Silver the Hedgehog being sent back in time to assassinate Sonic, because Silver believes that one day, Sonic will trigger the apocalypse. Silver's storyline comes complete with overt analytical commentary about whether it's morally justifiable to murder one to save a million, and features Blaze the Cold-Hearted Psychopath Cat... oh, and fire demons. Lots of them.

One of the game's many villains, Mephiles the Dark, speaks without a mouth. In some CGI cutscenes, his muzzle twitches and it's really creepy. He's like some half-animated possessed doll floating around, cackling and melting into walls.

You also get to see all of Sonic's friends break down in tears at the end. For real.

PEGI 12 might actually be a little generous.

The cup will be back open again tomorrow, thank you for your patience and here are the rules; The next set of games we are ranking in the pointless category will be released at some point tomorrow. As soon as the list is released everyone is in play and the first person to answer the call has prime pick to put their least favourite 3 games to the bottom of the pile at positions 1074, 1073 and 1072. Next person who answers their picks will slot into 1071, 1070, 1069 etc. Then we crack on from there. Pretty easy, not much accuracy but imo the best way to whittle them down quickly. If all 14 of us join in tomorrow we can get another 42 games locked in quick smart!

When you comment simply write the 3 games in order from your least favourite, second least favourite, 3rd least favourite. Dead easy.

@ZeD there 110 games left from the pointless group. We locked in positions 1150 - 1075 last time out. I was going to randomise but there are too many games to do that just now.

@themcnoisy Hmm, so we are sorting pointless in mini groups? What happens if we feel a game in a mini group that has already been organised is better than one that has not been sorted yet?
I hope that makes sense..
