YOOOO!

I have finally settled into KZ MP, I can no longer blame my "poor" performance on things such as:
• Not knowing the maps
• Not having the levels & gun power compared to others
• OP drones (they are a little bit op though)

Last night, in standard Team Death Match (TDM) I got Most Valued Player (MVP) 5 times in a row.

I have got my "Bread n Butter" class down - this consists of:
Assault - Rumbler with Acog - Steiner with Flash light (only figured out how to use flashlight last night (L1)) - Sheild - Stun Blast

The stun blast earns you MVP, the score gain from stunning enemies - destroying drones/shields/spawn beacons is insane, if you play fast and are always on the move like me, you can charge into a group of 2/3/4 enemies, stun all of them and kill a couple and you will earn like 900 score, easy.

Anyway, I am looking forward to getting back from work and firing it up and having a session... the only problem is I have very few friends at the moment that have PS4's, so I am rolling solo and with no in-game chat (yet) its hard to make friends/communicate with the team. I really like warzone but every team I am on are all out for Kills NOT objectives! I would love to get on the mic and give them some direction.

Are there any KZ: SF Multiplayer gamers lurking? Feel free to chirp in or if you are Europe based, send me your PSN ID for some team plays

Thought about trying out Killzone MP. Recently tried to play against some medium bots and got owned so bad. If you don't mind that at the moment are terrible at it, yeah, let's hook up and try this together.

I might try it from time to time.  I'm from the U.S., but there are days when I'm off that I could join you.  I'm not a great FPS player, but I've gotten MVP once or twice.  I tend to like to be support class and heal people.  I was also pretty good at guarding objectives.

Add me Not sure whether Ping/Latency might be an issue, but I am willing to find out.

I have a question... I'm buying a new game specifically a FPS. What should I get Killzone SF or Battlefield 4?

It's a tough one, but there are a number of things to consider:

- Are you looking for single player, or multiplayer? Both games have somewhat decent single player campaigns, but neither (in my opinion) are good enough to buy the game for alone.

- A major thing to consider is the fact that, in it's current state, Battlefield 4 can be terrible on PS4. Crashes, glitches, and server problems are rampant for huge amounts of players. You're taking a risk playing it right now.

- Killzone's multiplayer feels smaller, and that's because it is. 24 players is the cap, but it's actually well-designed, with some great maps and some relatively balanced weapons.

- Killzone will be getting a co-op mode sooner or later. You'll have to pay for it, but that's one option that the game has over Battlefield 4.

- When it works, Battlefield 4's multiplayer can be an absolute blast with 64 player matches. IF it works.

Personally, I think Killzone is the way to go right now, mostly because Battlefield is currently a minefield of online problems. Even then, Killzone's campaign is decent and has some great gunfights, while its multiplayer is well-made and feels very polished.

Hope some of that helps!

@ShogunRok has some great points, but I'll add a few of my own here

One thing Killzone has over Battlefield is that it was built from the ground up for PS4, and it looks it. Battlefield was developed cross-platform, and I hear it has a lot of glitches. I haven't played Battlefield 4 but the campaign in 3 was pretty awful. Killzone's campaign is a lot better than Battlefield 3, but still not nearly as good as Killzone 2 and 3.

Guerilla Games are also actively listening to its users and implementing patches to fix what the fans don't like and make an even better game, both in multiplayer and single player. All of the new maps are going to be free, so no one is left out because they don't want to spend the money to buy a new map pack.

Battlefield is a much more complicated game, and I would personally never get it on a console, because there's too much to it that you can't really control with the limited amount of buttons on a PS4 controller. In that case, Killzone is a much better choice, and it's also much more accessible. If you've never played Battlefield before, then it's even worse trying to jump into it.

I don't know if you've ever played Killzone before, but a major draw in the game--and what put its multiplayer mode on the map--is the Warzone mode. This is an objective-based mode with randomized missions (capture the flag, king of the hill, protect/destroy the target, and a couple of others). In Shadow Fall you can create your own games, giving you the option to change which weapons, attachments, abilities and missions are available, among other things. Killzone doesn't have any vehicles currently and I don't think they'll ever implement them because of balancing issues in creating custom warzones, so you have to decide who holds the advantage in offering variety. However, Killzone has some pretty interesting abilities that don't exist in Battlefield's world.

I think the enemies in Killzone take a little bit more firepower to take down so you will actually have some gunfights rather than getting killed instantly without knowing what just happened. Also, there really aren't any tubers in Shadow Fall since there really isn't a rocket or grenade launcher so that's something I really like about it. I think the biggest difference overall is that all of the weapons are available from the start in Shadow Fall so veterans really don't have much of an advantage over noobs besides experience with the controls and play style. This makes the whole game a much more balanced experience.

Thanks guys I think I'm going to go with Killzone, grenworthshero kind of sold me on it lol. I play hardcore on call of duty so I do like taking down my enemies quickly but I hate RPGs and tubes.. I have been playing battlefield since bad company but always hated the vehicle warfare, but outside of that I love the series. Thank you for the response I am going to pick up killzone and hold off on battlefield , maybe then the bugs will be ironed out. You guys rock!

Just my 2 cents.

Killzone is a great game, but it's a very different beast from either CoD or BF. So long as you don't expect the same sort of pace, I think you'll enjoy it. I usually prefer a quicker pace than Killzone (UT), but it's multiplayer has always been a solid experience, and Shadow Fall continues the tradition. There's plenty to get stuck in to too, with all of the accolades and weapon attachment unlocks and such. Possibly the best thing about SF is the omission of aim assist, you'll not likely find too much CoD style quick-scoping going on.

I've been tempted by BF4, maps can be a big sandbox of crazy- but that's pretty much what BF3 descended in to for me- very much the GTA effect! Also, given the problems of the release, I'd rather not buy it. It'll be interesting to see what Treyarch come up with for CoD next year. I hadn't Played CoD since MW, but I picked up Back Ops II and had a great time with it, even the single player was solid. So Killzone will keep me until then.

Graphically, Killzone is amazing looking, and smooth as silk in multiplayer. I've seen some direct feed BF4 footage, and it too looks great, it's difficult to judge the two against each other given the real world setting of BF and the decidedly sci-fi nature of Killzone.

Ah, yes, that's another thing I forgot to mention--no auto-aim in Killzone. That's another thing I love about KZ over CoD. No tubers and no auto aim, so when you get killed, it rarely feels unfair, and when you get kills, it's much more satisfying than the repetition of CoD. I can play Call of Duty and get some enjoyment out of it, but it gets really boring after a while because all you do is run really fast, ADS snap and kill your enemy in less than a second, rinse and repeat. Really the only thing CoD has over Killzone is the horde mode, but there are games that do that better, and Shadow Fall will be getting a similar co-op DLC in the future.
