Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Series Is Three Games, Part 3 Already in Pre-Production

twztid13

@Matroska wow, i have played games since 1987, & i don't think i ever played games that were only 2 hours long, & especially didn't buy games that were that long. Rental stores were for shorter games, IMO. I mainly played RPGs, which lasted me hundreds of hours each game, & they were actually cheaper back then (though the adjusted for inflation, and dollar values in the US may have meant they cost more as a percentage of income, I can't say for sure, but the dollar value was less).

Re: Poll: Will You Buy The Last of Us: Part I?

twztid13

@B_Lindz especially for people who bought it on ps3 & ps4. Sony is really behind this generation when it comes to this sort of thing (PS+ & ps4 to ps5 game upgrades), for some reason. They seemed to think the players should just take what they are given & like it, regardless of what it costs. All of these things seem pretty predictable to me, & easy to avoid if u value ur customers. But, we are again reminded they're a business, & everything they can get away with goes, i guess. 😥

Re: PS Plus Pre-Paid Cards Don't Work, Subs Can't Be Purchased on PS Store

twztid13

@FishDude well Xbox will convert the full value of Xbox live gold to game pass ultimate still to this day, as long as u let game pass expire, then redeem Xbox live gold, & buy 1 month of game pass. If u have 3 years of Xbox live gold, it will convert it to 3 years & 1 month of game pass ultimate. If u try to redeem gold when u have an active game pass membership, it will convert it to less time, which sucks for people who don't know that.

Re: PS Plus Pre-Paid Cards Don't Work, Subs Can't Be Purchased on PS Store

twztid13

@Snake_V5 i can't blame them, honestly. Otherwise, no one would have to pay the increase for 3 years, or however long they could afford to stack up. I would ve pissed if it happened to me, of course, but since it hasn't it's easier for me to see it without emotion, from the business perspective. It will piss of their customers, sure, bit apparently they think that's worth getting the extra money.

Re: British Gas Blasted for Advising Customers to Turn Off Consoles Like PS5, PS4

twztid13

@Mad001 i turn everything off, and it all works fine. I don't leave anything running all the time except my phone & television. All of my consoles are set not to update automatically, no games or system automatic updates, & set to turn completely off. I only have a ps4 to be fair, but have a switch & series S also (Along w 3ds, Vita, PC, & wii that i barely use). They all work great. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Re: No Plans for Chrono Cross Sequel or New Chrono Game, Says Square Enix

twztid13

@NinjaSixx i just had to comment, cuz I've never seen anyone else w this close of a take to my own, regarding FF series. I never played 11 or 14, liked 13, thought 12 was overrated, & 10 was probably my favorite (i loved the earlier ones, but i hate sprites, so i can't get immersed as much in those as i was able to 7 & newer). 🤘

Re: New PS Plus Memberships: All Three Tiers Explained

twztid13

@Flex_huusko it would make sense to, at most, charge the difference in subscription price ($40 & $60). I don't think that's too far fetched. Surely they wouldn't charge more. It's possible you couldn't upgrade at all, but that' would be dumb because it would cost them money, potentially. I don't think anyone, or many, would go spend $120 after they already have the base subscription, if there's no upgrade path.

Re: New PS Plus Memberships: All Three Tiers Explained

twztid13

Interesting. They're trying to combine the Nintendo & Microsoft plans, except they don't include the best part of Xbox, which is all 1st party games available on day 1 & always available (for games released after game pass started, at least).

Re: Splinter Cell Remake Officially Announced, Not Open World

twztid13

@LiamCroft good, because the political aspect, or storyline that was semi real world, is incredibly outdated. I think it had Burma, well idk, 1, 2 & 3 all are outdated, one had Israel, part 2 maybe, that could, still be relevant, but the others need a different story for present day, IMO.

Is this a PlayStation exclusive?

Re: Sony Seemingly Doubles Down on Poorly Updated Party System for PS5

twztid13

@Karmatic_weeb has nothing to do with embarrassment. Randoma aren't always good people, even if they're good at a game. You may discussing private issues, then need a random couple ppl to complete a raid in destiny 2. Now you are limited to ppl u know personally, or have to jump through hoops it sounds like to make a separate party & get some randoms to help. Unnecessarily convoluted, IMHO.

Re: Poll: Sony Says the X Button Is Pronounced 'Cross', But What Do You Call It?

twztid13

I call it X, but u should've known this. U had 2 have seen Street fighter cross (x) Tekken & all those games that have that in their name. I always want to call it street fighter times Tekken, lol.

If they really wanted to avoid confusion, they could have put it in the shape of a cross (north to south line with a perpendicular East to west line "crossing" it).

Re: Why Is Sekiro Published By Activision? FromSoftware Speaks Up

twztid13

@Fath although not in the industry, this is exactly what i was going to post to explain what they seemed to be giving up. Claiming final decisions are up to them is meaningless if they only have garbage input from testers, etc, unless we are to believe they'd actually cancel it in that scenario (which is unlikely unless it gets imto development hell & many many years beyond schedule).

Re: Ni no Kuni II PS4 Patch 1.03 Adds Harder Difficulty Levels

twztid13

@ztpayne7 I can only hope so. I can't imagine it being too hard on hard since normal is so easy it's absurd. That would leave a huge gap in between those settings, which wouldn't make any sense. I can't wait until someone confirms, though. I'm still playing through GoW before I'll go back to NNK2, but I'd like to know if my excitement is warranted, because this is something this game really needed.

Re: Ni no Kuni II PS4 Patch 1.03 Adds Harder Difficulty Levels

twztid13

Nice. I bought digitally on release night because I had been waiting for this forever. I didn't pre-order because I had a 20% off code I wanted to use, & you can't use any codes on pre-orders. I did a media blackout as I usually do for games in a franchise I know I'll buy, but I may have waited for a good sale if I'd have done at least enough research to know how different it was. The kingdom building was welcomed by me, but the overworld chibi characters & 5 second battles really disappointed me.

I got to the 1st main boss (there are a couple, what I'd consider, mini bosses before that point) & put it down for a while & have yet to go back. The insanely easy battles made most of the loot hunting worthless, so it seemed like a lot of filler just to get to the bosses, of which there were only like 52 total (including secret & endgame bosses), IIRC. I was honestly hoping they'd release new difficulty levels, so good on them. Better late than never. I'm glad I didn't go further, so if you do have to choose difficulty at the start (though, doubtful it forces this for just hard, at least), I won't be replaying much.

I don't need a long game, especially RPG, to be insanely difficult. But I would like it to at least convince me there's a reason I need to have the controller in hand, as opposed to it basically playing itself. I could sit there & do nothing & the AI teammates would decimate the enemies in seconds. Even on a mini boss, I tested that & basically did as little as possible (I think it forced me to attack a few times, but maybe not) & still didn't come close to dying. That saddened me, & made me look forward to the newer kingdom building stuff. I was excited that this moved from controlling the little guys in the first game to a more direct action RPG, as I wasn't really feeling that. I can't stand games with AI controlled teammates of any kind. I want control of everyone on my team in any game, which is why I love turn based games so much (& why I hated ME:Andromeda, as they stripped the control of teammate powers away). Once I found this game had AI teammates, it was made worse by the fact you were basically not even needed, just like ME: Andromeda, (which is what mads me bring that up). In both games, I could stand there & do nothing, yet win the battle & progress the story, essentially.

Sorry for the long rant, but I really hope this adds some fun to the non boss battle portions of the game, & I suspect it will. I randomly tried to update the game a few mins ago, then searched online to see what it did once I saw it had a new version, so I'm a little excited right now. Very nice job listening to fans, Bamco/Namdai (can't recall the devs name, but I'm sure it wouldn't have been done or time allowed to create this without this publisher's support).

Re: Why Ninja Theory's Leaving PlayStation

twztid13

@MadameSprixie see, i have always loved gaming period, but only used PS consoles for exclusives & xbox, 360, & x1 for multiplatform games, mainly because the controller. I couldn't care less about Rare & Lionhead only sold wolf tickets, so it's really odd hearing all of the people that like Sony consoles better care about those 2 devs closing. Sure, I'd rather more game devs than less, but I like Forza, Forza Horizon, Halo (until 5), the Remedy games (alan wake & quantum break), & some folks like Gears (not me), etc on MS' console, not Fable. I never played conkers, so not even sure what people like Rare for before MS. It's just very odd that the people that don't like MS, only seem to like the studios they closed.

Edit: I'm not trying to claim that u said u liked those studios. Sorry, that's how it sounds after I read my comment. Urs was just the last comment I read that mentioned those 2 studios, after seeing several other posts mentioning them in a positive light, as if they liked the games those studios made, then MS shut them down.

Re: Why Ninja Theory's Leaving PlayStation

twztid13

I had not heard this. That's awesome, to me. It ensures they can still make the great games they're known for, & most adults own both consoles anyway. The younger gamers will eventually, even if they prefer one over the other, as it's not a loyalty worth missing great games for. Also, competition is great for gamers, else we would be force fed utter garbage at a premium rate.

Re: Sony Could At the Very Least Remember to Refresh PS Vita's Store

twztid13

@Ryall OMFG! When did Valkyria Chronicles 2 get localized? I never even heard about that, unless it was so long ago I forgot about it. Thank you. Is in worth $10 US, or does it look really bad now? I'm in US, but Stardew Valley was in the Featured & new releases section for us, as I saw on Wednesday, I believe. Says the 21st was release, but I can't be bothered to count backward from 26th to see when that was actually, but they usually release on Tuesday here, so probably on release day.

Also, to be fair, none of these companies care much about us. Nintendo's making it impossible to redownload purchased wii shop games starting early 2019, so I have to buy an RF converter to hook mine up to my old TV & get a bigger SD card so I can make sure all the games I bought are downloaded. They all suck at one time or another (& yes I own all 3 main gen consoles & have owned all MS, Sony & Ninty consoles since NES [excluding Virtual Boy], PS1, Xbox), so I'm only biased in favor of great games.
