i've been avoiding gameplay because i want to experience it all by
my own for the first time,but from what i have seen so far it is just fantastic.

the world is stunning and the creatures look fantastic.
gameplay seems to be very enganged and i heard that the story is great.

I was doubtful for some reason, but glad i was proven wrong! Played 1-3 & the psp games over to get me ready!

Damn youtube though, throws up suggestion videos with boss fights for the new game. So close and youtube is trying to spoil it!

if it's any help there is a google app for free that allows you to hide spoilers for movies and games etc. that's what i did for uncharted 4 and every unchared 4 vid was hidden.

Naah! Gta 5 is good, but it's like the third best GTA!
TLoU is a piece of art but still think my experience with GoW will be better...have that feeling!

let this be another sign that games don't need MP and co op at all to be fantastic.

I thought this game looked pretty good when it was first shown but I had no idea that it would be this well received. It did contribute to me getting a PS4 though and when I have cleared out my backlog I will definitely be diving in to this one to see what all the fuss is about!

I actually wasn't too fussed when this was first show as I enjoyed good of war but was never blown away by it. However, I feel like tickets to the hype train need to be purchased for this one.

The FFXV RELEASE DATE announcement had a live orchestra. Then they delayed the game. And then the game happened. And then they decided to release DLC for it for the next 2 years, charging for a season pass, a Royal addition, and then more DLC.

Me thinks the live orchestra shouldn't be taken into consideration. No Man's Sky probably even had a live orchestra at some point.

Not saying any of that is related to GoW, this looks good, I may even break my own rule, instituted after Day 1 FFXV purchase, not to buy games before they're done. This one should be good enough "as is". Then if it's good enough I can always play the complete game on PS5 in native 4k and 60FPS on an even bigger big screen tv than the one I have now. Screen always looks so small after I take the PSVR headset off.

There's the odd review giving it an 8 probably for click bate as there are gamers comments showing their disgust in the review. Also there are those defending the review and are calling the game fog of war and us fans pony's. Do you think they are bitter envious xbone fans?

Oxymoron much? And whether the game gets an expansion or not I highly doubt it's done. Nothing is done at release these days. They'll add something of note. Heck they already said they were adding photo mode later, so they've already said it isn't done yet.

That's a picture of my house. It still needs 4 walls, a door, some windows, and a roof, but besides that it's done b/c the foundation is done therefore the house is done. That's what I hear you saying when you say "It may get an expansion but the game's done".

Oh, my house also has an expansion, that isn't it the picture either but I wouldn't have purchased the house without the expansion, the original house was too small. My house is done now though. Well except it could use a new coat of paint, but that's what 4k remasters are for. But those aren't the same game, that's why they are called remasters. My wife is certainly looking forward to our remastered house but she has to wait.

Game's not done until Cory says it's done. Don't hold your breath, it will probably be awhile. Not as long as FFXV though, it will be done way before that game is done. And a whole lot cheaper too.

Would be nice if GoW is mostly done and they give the boy his own game like TLoU: Left Behind or Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Could go either way.

GTAV has a 97? How? It's a good game but 3 points away from perfection? What are these critics smoking? The same stuff as the critics that rated BotW nearly perfect? Kudos to God of War though, 4 days to go!

It took SSM 5 years to develop GOW. I'm just waiting to see how much it cost them to develop it.

95 (86) on metacritic with no mixed or negative reviews is incredible. Not even The Last of Us managed that.

I do expect it to fall and settle at 94 once the game is available to everyone. Oh and the user reviews are going to be filled with 0s' from salty fanboys, as it's always the case with exclusives.

@Bamf i would whole heartedly agree with that. Simply because the xbox is trash. Ive got an X sitting underneath my gaming cabinet just collecting dust. No games on that system i want to play that i csnt get on my ps4. I dont like halo and ive done gears and i dont like the new "yo,brooooo" feeling of Forza 7. If i could get a half decent price for it id sell it like a shot. Got GT sport the other day after owning and selling it at launch and its come on so far and is now my fave racer ever. Sony just keep pumping out the games for the gamers.

@Bamf Well aware that it's accurate. Doesn't mean it's not absolutely ridiculous.

I'm not surprised it's reviewing well, considering the first three were at 94, 93 and 92 respectively, the mainline GoW games have always been received very well. I guess it's a little surprising it's above Uncharted 4 but the changes that were made and the focus on a more grounded narrative obviously struck a chord with people. Looking forward to finding out for myself what the big deal is. The gameplay is different but looks as brutal and badass as it's always been. I've seen some boss fights (minus the story spoilers) and they seem insanely fun.
