PSN Store-wise I can compare PS3, PS4 and PS5 (heck, even Vita at times)...aside from GUI polish, there is not much user-friendliness to comment on. PS4 is still a supported system and you cannot even Wishlist games on that. You do have genre categories to filter your search, however, only multiregion AAAs make the top positions in each category anyway. No screenshots in web browser PSN Store? Really? I actually have to google the game or switch to the infamous mobile app to see some actual screenshots/videos for the game in store...so not user-friendly! The PS mobile app is a case on it's own - you cannot even click/use any of the tags that appear in a game description. It's the hard work of youtubers (thank you Nintendolife & Switchcorner) that brings some quality games under the consumer radar.

lets all hope it wont turn into a Destiny-like multiplayer online thing...That is Not The Way....

I myself am a gaming cave-man dating back to pre-ZXSpectrum days, sadly, I must admit, all-digital is here to stay. All passion-related papermanualsmelling fetish goes aside when you walk into a gameshop and see pricetags inflated by tens of EUR compared to discounted digital offers. Even then, you bite the bullet and pop that disc/cartridge in your system just to realize there is a need for a download anyway...be it day1 patch or additional game data. Makes the sole existence of the physical version obsolete. The future is confusing to say the least...until there comes a visionary of the likes of Steve Jobs & Apple who can set the global trend firmly for decades to follow.

So apparently 2024 will be the year of mobile-quality games coming to BluRay yay

To my big surprise, I've hardly noticed any significant difference between GTSport running on a PS5 and the PS4 version of GT7 (also running on PS5) for which I got a key with my PS5 disc copy. I don't know but i think they might wanna push PSplus subscriptions indirectly with digitalPS5 console. So it seems. As much as I am a fan of physical media, they are really becoming more and more obsolete (in case of PS5 at least). Is it a high-end 4k BD player? I don't think so. Used games are cheaper, no doubt...but they get cheaper after a LONG time after release...big chance hardly anyone is interested in them by that time. Only time will tell what the average consumer will prefer. I hope the value at Playstation will stay with the "content", not the technical nuances.

So that's one more reason for M$ to beef up console prices...i see i see ^_^
