Focus on a few core games this year. I finally got SW Outlaws with the DLC so I'm going to get into that and go for the platinum by exploring the hell out of the galaxy. (Got to finish up Yotei first... almost done with the plat)
@Oram77 good test! good to hear it. I have good memories of Jin and the story, but Atsu's is really doing it for me. SPOILER: I'm at the point where she spends time with the Ainu and it is a very hopeful part. Makes you forget the pain and the vengeance for a bit...
Both are fantastic games. I am really enjoying the exploring in Yotei. I have stumbled across things that have no impact on the game, but help to develop lore and depth. I like the story in Yotei, too (I liked Tsushima of course). No spoilers, but it is a very well-written and revealing character development. I am only a few Yotei 6 in, however. With many hours left to go.
playing on lethal difficulty. it is HARD. much harder than Tsushima. I am giving up on some areas to come back to when I get better/stronger. Or have better tools/weapons. I love it though. The exploration is a lot of fun. I like the spyglass thing, sighting new areas to explore.
@3Above I remember listening to the Last Jedi before the movie and hearing Luke and Leia's theme from RotJ. That was not fun. I hold out on soundtracks, too. But I will certainly listen to it AFTER playing the game!!
I couldn't stop exploring in this game and pushing onward. It was very rewarding! The music, the feedback from the exploring (awakening the sea), the hidden goodies... I loved it. I think this is the first time I played through a New Game + to the finish. Yes, it was only 1.5 hours long on a straight run, but I loved it!
This was the first casual console Star Wars game to me that felt like a true "DnD" video game for this universe. You're a nobody with no skills and then you have to learn your way in the galaxy.
I remember seeing it first at the PS Experience theater thing many years back. I could NOT wait for it, and I ended up loving it. The place was giving away hundreds of those GoT pins. I only took 5 because I thought I was being greedy, but not one else took them. Oh well.
@Fiendish-Beaver Yes! Nice work! I liked the upgrading enemies, the different stages (the recognizer). Faster and faster! Really a lot of fun. Then I tried Maze-A-Tron, expecting the same awesomeness. That game fell flat but I still played it.
Yes a new cart game... either with Astro Bot or with Crash Bandicoot. Family friendly games don't mean they're not fun. I love a good platformer like Astro!
I've been on the fence. I really like the solo game, but I also really for the first time, played a lot of MP with World. I'm old so I don't have these new age super friends to play with me...
I think Survivor had more "sale" time. (on sale for a longer time). Outlaws was released in August. Survivor is a complete game. There were a lot of reasons, and I don't think it's because it's a better game. I like them both for different reasons.
It hooked me. I had it back when it was still on the PS Vita and it was my "end of the day right before bed" game. Of course, that meant I was saying "just one more day" about 15 times and my sleep schedule got really messed up. Then they stopped supporting that version (1.3) and I never continued. I have it sitting on my PS5 now but I'm too scared to play it for risk of sleep changes. Maybe when I get the PS Portal...
not sure how I feel. I REALLY enjoy pixel based games (Children of Morta kinda stuff) and this feels... different. The original was a lot of fun, I really dug the idea. Yeah, I see the same elements but it has a different taste and all. Don't know how to put my finger on it.
So fun! I love all the fun mechanics and hidden gems. I wish the boss was a little tougher, though! And I'm a sucker for the Astro Bot Rescue Mission in VR... I keep thinking that they can release a VR level or a few in VR for this game... some of the mechanics feel very similar to the Rescue Mission...
This is indeed BS. I contacted Thomas Hegarty, president of Roll7 and said I was sorry his studio got shut down. (I used to write for a PS Vita website and he was a contact WAY back then when OlliOlli was first released for the Vita!) He was really nice about it, but it was clear they were getting shut down.
@Mostik i pcked up a set of Plats on sale once. 3d sound is super cool. On Tsushima you can hear all sorts of sounds around you, like when you call your horse you can tell which side he's riding up on. Not a big deal, but it's the little touches.
@Daleaf hah yeah, I remember that's why I bought Little Big Planet, too. I was going to create the best games! Same with Dreams. Reality: How do you rotate the item to make a stupid shape? Throws controller. Goes into the community to see what they've made.
