Re: Death Stranding 2 (PS5) - A Masterpiece in Every Sense

@EfYI I recently tried to replay it and it just wasn't as fun as when I played it at launch. There seemed to be no one helping me build or liking the transportation networks I spent hours building. During launch, new things would pop up daily and you really felt like you were helping strangers make the journey with you and they were helping you back.

@DreadfulDragon @Darude84 just because you didn't enjoy the gameplay loop doesn't mean it isn't good. I loved building structures with complete strangers and feeling like I was on a lonely journey in the world they created. If all your about is gameplay, I wonder why your on a Playstation site. They are a story focused company. Nintendo has plenty of what you're looking for. And I say that as a person who grew up on Nintendo

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Black Myth: Wukong?

@Kiefer-Sutherland if you just spam attack you're not going to get very far. Playing in PC and it's great. Not bad for a studios first game. There are quality of life issues like the lack of a map and shrines that don't stand out enough and tend to be behind rocks when you're trying to find one to fast travel...I would just find myself dying just so I could get back to one. Also being able to use the healing flask at full health is annoying. I dont mind the invisible walls. To me it's pretty clear in most instances where you can and can't go and I definitely appreciate not falling off narrow pathways all the time.

Re: 'PlayStation's Blessed with Marketing Budgets We're Not Able to Enjoy,' Xbox Bigwig Bemoans

@Wiceheid And what is marketing today anyway? Most games are announced with a YouTube video. Their practices make me sick. They closed two insanely talented studios while at the same time using two square enix studios to help two games in development hell make it to market. I don't understand rooting for this kind of industry. Luckily I don't give a crap about Activision but I do worry for two of my favorite studios in Arkane and DoubleFine

Edit: i guess I should've actually read the article. I'm not in Europe so I am unaware of Sonys strategy across the pond

Re: Reaction: PS5 Livestreams Are No Longer Speaking to the Fans Who Built the Brand

They have stuff cooking but nothing is ready to show. I would rather studios be allowed to take their time and not crunch, because if you've watched any docs on game dev, you know these reveals often take a month to create. Hopefully, next year we'll see Wolverine and whatever the hell Cory Barlog has been working on. Also, Sucker Punch should be ready to show something.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Reveal Trailer Is Already the Most Disliked in Series History

@PrettyPawsome I wasn't trying to belittle you but type in assassin's creed shadows into YouTube and you will come across dozens of videos attacking the supposed wokeness, dei, whatever they are calling it, a lot of then before you even get to the trailer. So yes, it's a prevalent theme. As for games, I don't who I play as. They are works of fiction and the choice of the dev team.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Reveal Trailer Is Already the Most Disliked in Series History

@Callmegil this makes.no sense when you consider that Japanese studios make their own Japanese characters look white. I'm playing persona 3 reload and I guess these characters are supposed to be Japanese but nothing about their appearance indicates that. DMC, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, etc etc etc...these are all opportunities for Japanese companies to make strong Japanese leading men. Maybe it's about money. It's always about money.

@PrettyPawsome you evidently didn't read the comment section or see the dozens of videos about it. It's just another battle in these maniacs war against "wokeness". The major complaint being that they claim yasuke was essentially a pet and the female has a square jaw. So yeah, even if you didn't research before you commented, there was no gameplay shown, so what else could the vitriol be about

Re: 13 New Games Joining PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week

Not good but I feel like I already got my money's worth with animal well and Dave the Diver. I guess you could say they were last months but I haven't gotten to them yet because I'm entrenched in persona 3 after beating stellar blade. I'm very tempted to take a break for animal well though. I have no doubt I'll love that game

Re: Random: Seven Years Later, No Man's Sky's Reputation Is Slowly Improving

@LifeGirl Yes but people make mistakes. People fail. At launch it was still a playable game. They just ran out of time for what they had planned. They have more than made up for it. They have years ago actually and would be fully within their right to charge for some of these updates after delivering what they promised. Yet they continuously go above and beyond for free to anyone who owns the game. I haven't played it but I will some day.

Re: Xbox Games Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded All Confirmed for PS5, PS4

@eduscxbox They are trying to make game pass the Netflix of gaming. That's the obvious goal and one that's been stated. They are shooting for Netflix numbers...200-250 million people. I don't want to be in a gaming future where it's all subscription based. Microsoft only wanting to pay 5 mill for BG3, a game whose budget was well north of 50 million says a lot about what that future could look like.
