Re: Xbox Boss Wishy-Washy on Whether The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Come to PS6, PS5

kuu_nousee

@Nem Not 100% true, Bethesda have said they still want to bring new & old games to Nintendo & PlayStation platforms "when it makes sense".

Microsoft/Bethesda could calculate ES6 would make more money to NOT miss PlayStation, like COD.

The biggest issue that riled Microsoft up was the news that Starfield was set to be exclusive to PlayStation consoles so they decided to chance a buyout of Bethesda to get the game AT ALL. Then the time it took to finish Starfield was too much for them to consider to still releasing it for PlayStation unfortunately.

It could be we will have to see some big Bethesda games on Playstation in the future. I'd hate for PS5 to miss everything new, especially RPGs.

@MidnightDragonDX To be fair this far out means it's been developed enough to run on a PC, no optimizations yet for any consoles. That means even Xbox Series consoles. There is a chance ES6 likely will be for the generation of consoles only AFTER Series X and PS5. It's not hard to understand what this all means it's still undecided/plans not 100% set.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.63 Out Now on PS5, Get All the Patch Notes Here

@tomassi Natively it isn't ever gonna happen. Same as Witcher 3 no first person mode.

There is a PC mod for third person but it isn't that great which says quite a bit for all the statements they originally said why it's first person only.

It does suck for those that cannot handle first person physically without getting sick, but it is what it is not every game is for everyone.

Re: The Callisto Protocol (PS5) - Just Like Dead Space, for Better and Worse

@Toypop dang, I'm in the same boat. I was wary Xbox and PC (RTX 3080) due to Sony involvement with this game. Soooooo glad I picked up disc PS5 copy due all the good reviews of haptics too. If performance mode is that bad at 1440p60fps I'll just play it once and eBay it. Though the added gyro seems like another good extra too!

Yeah PlayStation digital games in USA as soon as you preorder and hit download it's yours no refunds unless a CP2077 situation, Xbox digital at least we get a chance at refund. I feel like I got lucky with my choose.

@Sequel yeah the one thing we can do for this is wait for sale or if you're a diehard horror fan, give it a shot sooner to make sure we keep getting these type of games. If all we had was Resident Evil that would be sad. At least we have Dead Space and Silent Hill 2 remakes coming to test the waters for more games.

I just read John at Digital Foundry saying he really enjoyed this game more than most reviewers. I'm gonna bite the bullet and keep my PS5 preorder.

@4kgk2 Far from a non PlayStation fan. TLoU Part 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. Incredible pacing something Ragnarök blatantly struggles with especially in Ironwood. Still a fun game for a one time playthrough. But let's be real here it's not in the same realm of overall quality for pacing, to story, and build up of gow2018 (or for that matter the pacing of God of War 3) or TLoU Part 1.

I think you have your agenda pointed at the wrong person here.

Re: The Callisto Protocol (PS5) - Just Like Dead Space, for Better and Worse

@Shad361 Well, so what gives with Ragnaröks' scores then as it is one of the big AAA Sony games this year? I'm really curious as it has the same gameplay as the first and worse story that drags out for way too long for it's welcome. In my opinion if The Collisto Protocol is the real Dead Space 4 (with all it's issues in this review) and Ragnarok is a bloated gow2018 (though it's hard extensively here to talk about without spoiling) why they aren't about the same score? At the very least it sounds The Collisto Protocol story doesn't drag out and is mostly all about atmosphere and combat, then at least we get a harder difficulty in January plus new game plus.

It's hard to take some big reviewer websites seriously these days, as it seems they are reviews for people that just like summer blockbusters.

Still scratching my head as to how almost universally Elden Ring, Pentiment and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 as hardcore as they are came close to the reviews they deserved in the midst of some of these over scored AAA games in 2022.

Re: Elden Ring Combat, Open World, and Story All Detailed

@Total_Weirdo nope not even close. Microsoft had marketing rights for the game for Xbox until recently. It was said by Jeff Grub that Bamco/From turned down Xbox for marketing moving forward "as they didn't want to appear to be for one platform over another".

It's a last gen crafted game that was built for multiplatform. End of story, has nothing to do with being a Sony exclusive (timed nor fully).

Honestly a good move, unless it's something like Demon's Souls/Bloodborne where Sony owns the IP then it shouldn't be exclusive. Loss of profits and less people get to play.

Re: Hands On: Best Uses of PS5 DualSense Controller So Far

kuu_nousee

@get2sammyb thank you for doing this. As I have been a PC and Xbox gamer primarily until now the DualSense has been a revelation to use in Cold War, Astro's Playroom, and Demon's Souls. I hope you add Demon's Souls to this list as it is a pretty good implementation. Also thank you for WRC9 info as a huge Dirt Rally 2.0 fan I am very eager to pick it up on PS5.

Everyone else dont sleep on this as it is definitely NOT another gimmick. It's a huge reason to get the PS5 over PC, Xbox, or Switch versions of game for just the controller alone. It's a huge reason to get a PS5 as soon as possible really.
After I played Cold War Multiplayer with a DualSense at 120fps it shocked me even as a PC gamer how far consoles have come.
