@JJ2 it would make sense but it's Sony and they've never included a stand before.

I mean they're not Nintendo levels of bad for their accessories but don't be surprised if they say something along the lines of "you can afford £450 for your new console, so we're sure you can afford another £20 to make sure it's not wonky"☺️

Not sure if it needs a stand but I'm sure Sony will do some work in selling it.

Also, remember the PS2 had a horizontal stand. It didn't need one, but it had it.

I want to say the PS3 had one as well but this might have just been a licensed third party job.

I hope that whatever the price is, they repeat the original PlayStation announcement. Imagine hours after Microsoft announcing their price, a Sony executive casually says twoninteynine and walks off a stage.

@thedevilsjester I hope you're right but Sony are usually stingy on random things like stands.

Although I could be wrong, but looking at it standing up, I think it's flat enough to stand on its own. Could be wrong though.☺️

@tanaka2687 that was my first thought but with the specs we know about, Sony could be thinking 4K/60fps or 1080/1440 & 120fps.

It's a hypothetical of course but the fact they've not clarified what they're targeting and they want to get away from the compromises of the PS4 pro, I would expect more than what is currently on offer.

I think it's a tough call and is going to boil down to cost since I've held off getting a 4k Blu-ray player for this reason.

I don't tend to buy physical games unless they are collectors editions, which I'm happy to live without.

If the cost saving can get me a decent Blu-ray player then I'm going all digital. If not then I'm sticking with the disc drive ☺️

I was wondering how Insomniac managed to get a Spider-Man game ready so quickly and be working on Ratchet and Clank. Now it makes sense.

Depending on the size of the Miles Morales content this could be a bargain of a bundle if the base game is included too. I've not got round to the original so will be happy to pick this up. ☺️

It was a good showing. They showed gameplay from actual console footage and just about every genre of game was represented.

The console looks lovely. I'll be getting a disc one. If it wasn't back-compat I'd be tempted by the digital only one. The wife turned and said "We'll be getting a new TV then" so I think it's going to be an expensive Christmas!

@wiiware as long as you can avoid the internet between those hours, do the latter. Life is better with snacks ☺️

I must say that I like this format of staggering the releases, even though it has only been a week between them, I've had chance to download and try one (not my bag) and now I can clear it off and download the other. It's a small touch but really nice ☺️

Neat. Just like last month I didn't own either game so it's a nice touch in my opinion. ☺️

I'm excited to see where the next system takes us!
