It's amazing. Either through acquisition or development there's no denying that MS and its umbrella of studios and iP have made and released some proper bangers lately and more continuing to come.
And somehow ponies still complain and blame MS - even when they get to enjoy those games on their PS.

@UltimateOtaku91 I disagree. I think it shows the majority of 'people ' like live service games, but most 'gamers' prefer single player. Most people aren't gamers.

Just checked Steam Charts. It's nowhere near no.1. It's sitting in 31st place atm on Steam.

Just an observation, but apparently there's over 1m concurrent players yet even in your own poll most people aren't playing it.
I'd love to see your sources. Certainly not Steam as there's barely 40k. And I don't believe over 900k players are using Ubi launcher.

How come if a game is multi platform you guys always say , also on PC and Switch. But you never mention Xbox?

Definitely playing this day one on GP. I live in the area it's set and so far quite accurate (minus the death and radiation lol).

I could kinda see them porting to PS, which as an Xbot this gen, I reckon would be great for fellow gamers on PS.
But unless Nintendo are hiding some serious ass kicking upgrades on Switch 2, there's no way MSFS will port to Switch, it just hasn't got the grunt.

There's zero chance of cloud gaming ever replacing consoles or pc. The infrastructure just isn't there in most countries. And where it does work, why would one pay for cloud gaming when one can simply buy the game (physical or digital) and play whenever and wherever one chooses? With better quality gfx and zero latency to boot.
I'll bet my entire salary for 2025 that consoles will be around well into this century, probably the next too.
People still watch TV - invented over 100yrs ago. Yeah there's obviously better tvs now than back then, but new tvs released all the time. I reckon back in the early 1900s people stated the same - 'tvs will be gone in a few decades ...'. People sometimes think on such tiny timescales.

Last Gen I was Sony with PS4 pro. This gen went back to XboX (from 360 days) and absolutely loving the XboX releases and ecosystem... however ...
Even though I'm loving my Series X, I gotta admit, am seriously tempted to pick up a PS5 purely for Astro Bot.
Game looks fantastic and could easily be a console seller. Congrats Sony and thnx for the year PS staff and readers.

And to try and explain why the controversy and why this title will fail would be akin to trying to explain why water is wet.

@__Seraph As an example - The Witcher 4 looks great. Ciri is the main protagonist not Geralt. She's female. The overwhelming view is positive and people can't wait to play it.
The hate for Intergalactic is not due to the protagonist being female.

@Lofty1985 Gears, Forza, MS Flight Sim Fable Starfield to name a few. There's tons of games currently locked to XboX.

It's the inclusion of a black mc just to tick a box.
The OG mc for AC Shadows was an Asian character. A Japanese samurai who was already complete ingame in 2020 - with complete artwork and animation. UBi then replaced him with Yasuke, in their own words: 'due to the socio political movement of that time, which included the George Floyd incident and the BLM movement.
They purposefully replaced an already Japanese mc with a black character just to virtue signal. That's the problem.

Inevitable. Why could no one see this coming? Porting console games to PC will never work long term. The so called 'PC master race' will never accept console gamers as equal. PC gamers have always had a bad attitude in gaming, hence why the major console makers are hesitant to turn on cross play for everything.
PC gamers just want all the games and have no real community themselves, it's very transient. Whereas on console I'd argue the community is very much what makes gaming on a particular console enjoyable.
I also believe some players actually think they're real Helldivers. Just waiting for the day we start seeing freaks in capes wandering the streets.
As for the community manager. Yep should stay fired imo. I'm sure he had no problem accepting pay checks every month. Any reasonable business would fire them.

@Fiendish-Beaver I wonder if PS knew they were going to do this all along but waited until the PC player base pushed the game up the charts. Sneaky sneak.

@themightyant that's not what early access is as you meant it.
You're talking about a beta test. You're right a game in beta is usually discounted or free to allow the user base to find bugs. And I agree having no problem supporting this.
As for the early access of supposedly finished games. I would have agreed at some point not to keep rewarding devs for broken games at release.
However even games on disc nowadays require a day 1 patch and multiple updates. I'd argue that these are also unfinished games.
So where to end? Do we never buy another game again until it's guaranteed complete? Or just all move over to Nintendo?

Episode 3 so far and am liking it a lot. Love the little Easter eggs like the bobbleheads . Is it just me though or is the Brotherhood of Steel character totally unlikable? Won't reveal much so as not to spoil, but after the things he does in first few episodes, seems like a real slimeball .

Just curious with all the negativity towards Xbox games running at 30fps, how many will still play GTA6 if it's also 30fps?

@danzoEX I think you're doing the game a great disservice. Maybe a few spotty Gen Z enjoy the game for that but most gamers are adults with families. I much prefer the real thing to pixels.
Plus the gameplay in Stellar Blade is top notch.

Meh, they're average games imo. FF is just too dated an iP nowadays. Anyone there for the OG release don't wanna play crappy remakes 20 or so years later, been there done that. And people who don't have an affinity with the franchise have way better games to play.

@__jamiie lol yeah exactly this. Even thinking, going back through different console variations I've had , not once have I bothered about trophies. I think it's more of a 'me' generation thing.
Though tbf I never go after MS rewards on GP either. If they pop up, meh, ok.

I think people have read the article wrong. It's saying that The Post made a mistake and FF trilogy is NOT a PS console exclusive.
