@Munkyknuts too true.i remember chuckie egg on the atari 65xe I think it was.awesome gameplay, really loved that game.just a shame I had to wait about about 45mins for the tape to load before I could play. Actually, that sounds quite familiar nowadays what with not being able to play untill installs/updates/patches and whatnot are finished.thankfully, it dont take as long. Except if you play battlefield of course

@rastamadeus I agree with your cynicism regarding driveclub. I think they're just trying to squeeze a few extra sales by withholding the free plus version after all the not so great reviews.

@Munkyknuts im thinking along the same lines tbh. A huge problem in my view is that people see 7-8 as not a good score and if its not a 9 or 10 then its a failure somehow. Personally, some of my favourite games have averaged 70-80 so I dont put too much stock in the actual review score, prefer to read and watch something and then make a call based on personal preference. Tbh, I stopped paying too much mind to review scores after I read an article years ago about the unscrupulous behaviour of certain publishers and game journalists accepting certain 'gifts' in lieu of favourable reviews

Classic case of way too much hype which inevitably results in disappointment regardless of the game being very good. The fact that it's not the best thing ever just makes people overly harsh and critical I think

Personally most hyped for bloodborne.very closely followed by mgs 5. What little was shown of bloodborne was awesome and I really cant wait. Honourary mentions to witcher 3 and rime as well.

Oh yes! Awesome news indeed while I eagerly await astebreed on ps4. Though I do hope its a more traditional interpretation of a shmup ( like ikaruga/radiant) rather than kokuga which was still enjoyable mind but I prefer the old cave/treasure style

@RawShark not seen it but as far as I've read it was racist/ homophobic slurs and 'announcements' for games such as gears of war anf fallout..

I smell something questionable in the air. . From a business pov why would ea do this? Surely they would be cannibalising their own sales margins because the people who buy fifa and the like are going to buy it whether its $6 or $60 so why on earth would ea offer these top tier titles for a fraction of the price thereby negating the need to buy at full price? Unless they lose THAT much revenue from pre owned sales I cant understand the business reason behind this.. I still think it sounds too good to be true tbh but seeing as I have an xb1 as well I shall be keeping an eye on the finer details and maybe will subscribe. Lastly, I do feel that sony should have let their players decide for themselves or maybe they know some of the finer points of the scheme and based on that thought it was sheet and therefore declined

Im just glad that in these days of never ending sequels and mega budget ' sell a bazillion copies or the game is a flop', developers like p* are still going. Never heard of legend of korra but will be getting this day 1 as it's by p*.

I forgot about this one.october is way too jammed as it is with some quality titles incoming.will wait for reviews on this one.if not great will probably pick it up around the holidays.

@Punished_Boss game starved next gen owners wanting something to play to justify purchase.any new release is selling well for this reason.ive played it on ps3 and considering a ps4 purchase.common sense will prevail I think in the end and ill probably get it when its cheaper

I hope it gets delayed tbh.not only to allow for more polish but release schedule wise, its almost always commercial suicide to release a new ip at that time of year with all the big hitting franchises.regardless, ill be waiting to see whether its actually any good or not like im doing with watch dogs at the moment..

@JaxonH I see what you are saying about titanfall but it honestly something you have to experience yourself to under stand why pple are getting bored wirh it so quickly. I actually bought an xbone mainly for titanfall and at 1st it was really good and added sime much needed spice to the genre. After playing for about a week at launch I've not played since mainly because I feel structure of the game beneath the mechanics are just plain broken.im rubbish at fps' s but what cod n bf have nailed down is the competitive aspect. You play, you get better, you learn maps etc and theres an almost tangible feel to your improvement almost like a fighting game like sf in that sense. Titanfall imho just doesn't have that.you cn go around the whole match killing bots which trust me takes zero skill to do and by doing that its easily possible to outscore someone who goes after other humans which obviously is a lot more difficult and due to this the competition between players isn't a real thing almost.its a real shame though cos the actual mechanics like wall running and titans are brilliant and the game can be fun no doubt but it's not gonna have legs like cod and bf when it comes to mp.its tricky to explain, like I said you need to play it for a good while to get what I mean but thats just my opinion on the game.i guess if a persons not interested in raw competition and getting better in order to do better then they won't have this problem.incidently, this is also why I hate blue shells, worst idea in a game ever..probably. .

Im still waiting for knack tbh.i can understand sonys reluctant cos then the precedent would be set n people would expect a full retail title every month thereafter and no doubt be pissed when it didn't happen.

Different strokes and all that I suppose. I guess it is one of those niche type games and if you dont really like them resogun probably not gonna change your opinion. It was the main reason I opted for a ps4 at launch thougj I do have an xbone now.got it for titanfall, wish I didnt bother tbh...

Yea sounds like chunky dlc.either way you had me at housemarque, resogun still the best ps4 exclusive in my view so cant wait.hopefully whatever it is is soon and not ages away

Not surprised by ea pricing but I felt sony 1st party titles would have been cheaper at the very least. To all those asking why digital prices are not cheaper due to lack of manufacturing costs,we learnt in accounting that companies will charge consumers what they think they will pay,the cost of production has surprisingly little to do with pricing
