Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 202

I'm struggling with games at the moment I've got Witcher 3, Prey and Odinsphere on the go but I've fallen out of love with all of them and they feel like a chore. The last game I truly got absorbed by was Pyre.

I dunno, I think I just need to start approaching games a little differently. I always love them to start with then 5 hours in I get bored.

Personally I can't stand rubbish like this. I like to come back from work and get lost in a game world that I believe in. Stuff like this just cheapens the whole experience for me and makes my subconscious reject it. Think Inception when they twist the world too much!

Anyway, fair enough it's all good fun and I'm just grumpy. But for me personally it pushes me away from the FF universe.

I tried Just Cause 3 but it doesn't seem to be working...just stuck on "18% installed".

So, decided to restart FFXV, after a few months away from it. It's gotten quite a bit better! Enjoying it more than before - bumbling around the moogle chocobo festival was fun.

Also making a start with Pyre.

Given that this is a dedicated PS4 site, I'm always disappointed in the lack of PS4 Pro comparison and analysis.

The subdued word count here is always a bit of a let down too. Maybe PS is now aiming to be the dumbed down Newsround of games journalism these days? Fair enough I guess. Who likes to read?...

No PS4 Pro enhancements (even though it has the logo on the box) + reported input lag (as per new Digital Foundry video) = no thanks.

Bethesda sure are shoddy sometimes.

Just started Horizon. It's even better than I thought it would be. The combat feels fantastic. Put it on Hard mode, turn off aim assist, and every kill feels completely satisfying. I'm also very intrigued to see Aloy develop as a character.

Probably gonna play a bit of Overwatch too.
