@kyleforrester87 That's a great shout. Will be picking up a switch in the next day or two. I really fancy just getting lost in Zelda for the next 3 months and not playing anything else.
I'm struggling with games at the moment I've got Witcher 3, Prey and Odinsphere on the go but I've fallen out of love with all of them and they feel like a chore. The last game I truly got absorbed by was Pyre.
I dunno, I think I just need to start approaching games a little differently. I always love them to start with then 5 hours in I get bored.
@themcnoisy I got bored with it in about 30 minutes. And the characters were artificial and irritating. I think perhaps open world games just aren't for me (I did love HZD though)
I missed out on this vote. But HZD is a very worthy winner. I would have gone Nier: Automata - one of the greatest games I've ever played, but HZD was certainly my second. Nothing else came close in my opinion.
Personally I can't stand rubbish like this. I like to come back from work and get lost in a game world that I believe in. Stuff like this just cheapens the whole experience for me and makes my subconscious reject it. Think Inception when they twist the world too much!
Anyway, fair enough it's all good fun and I'm just grumpy. But for me personally it pushes me away from the FF universe.
@DrJoeystein I wish I didn't notice that sort of thing! Too many years of playing Counterstrike on PC at 120+ FPS has ruined a whole lot of games for me!
But it's not a constant 60fps though is it? The latest Digital Foundry video is rather damning, particularly for base PS4. Hopefully they can tighten this up, because it looks pretty fun...albeit maybe a bit fast for my aging reactions!
I tried Just Cause 3 but it doesn't seem to be working...just stuck on "18% installed".
So, decided to restart FFXV, after a few months away from it. It's gotten quite a bit better! Enjoying it more than before - bumbling around the moogle chocobo festival was fun.
Must admit, seems mental to me that a PS4 site would give a game that has fundamental, PS4-specific issues the Game of The Month award. Just take a look at Digital Foundry's article on the latest patch, posted today! Awful.
Given that this is a dedicated PS4 site, I'm always disappointed in the lack of PS4 Pro comparison and analysis.
The subdued word count here is always a bit of a let down too. Maybe PS is now aiming to be the dumbed down Newsround of games journalism these days? Fair enough I guess. Who likes to read?...
Just started Horizon. It's even better than I thought it would be. The combat feels fantastic. Put it on Hard mode, turn off aim assist, and every kill feels completely satisfying. I'm also very intrigued to see Aloy develop as a character.

The burden of choice is real.

Re: Game of The Year 2017: Joey's Personal Picks
Pyre! Wow I forgot about Pyre. What a game that was I'm going to go play it again.
Re: Game of the Year 2017: #2 - Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Bizarre!
Re: Game of the Year 2017: Sam's Personal Picks
Nice to see Snake Pass!
No idea why nobody has picked Nier: Automata yet though. It's the game of a decade, let alone this year!

Re: Site News: Push Square Forum Votes Horizon: Zero Dawn as Game of the Year
@LieutenantFatman no I think it was a fair point. Nintendo have put out some world beaters this year, and its great to see them acknowledged on here.

Re: Relax with Your Own Virtual Aquarium in Aqua TV, Coming to PS4 Next Week
Pretty cool, but I think I'd rather just watch Blue Planet 2

Yeah wtf, 40 quid is half price?
Re: Review: Knack 2 (PS4)
@themcnoisy when it's not loading
Re: There's Still Hope for Fallout 4 on PlayStation VR
Yeah it barely runs as it now! Saying that, even with massively stripped back visuals that type of game could be awesome fun to play in VR.

Re: Review: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (PS4)
Hmm, doesn't seem my cup of tea. Looks slow and clunky whereas I tend to prefer fluidity in games.

Also making a start with Pyre.
Re: Review: The Long Dark (PS4)
Good review! Any pro support?
Re: New Days Gone Gameplay Showcases a Dynamic PS4 World
Hmm, hope it doesn't end up boring
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 177
Yakuza 0 for me. First timer to the series, loving it so far! Just started chapter 3... Addicted to kareoke.
Re: Round Up: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy PS4 Reviews Spin In
I'm with Bam on this one. 30fps platformer in 2017? No thanks.
Re: Highly Rated Traditional RPG Pillars of Eternity Arrives on PS4 This August
One of the best games I've ever played. This is fantastic news, and I'll be buying it on PS4 too.
Everybody buy this!
Re: E3 2017: The Evil Within 2 Blends Psychological Thrills with Survival Spills
Yeah I'm not too excited about this one unfortunately. Found the first too slow and clunky.
Re: Digital PS4 Games Get Discounted in EU Ahead of Days of Play
@AFCC hope you like it it just looks bright, fun and buttery smooth. I'm getting it today.
Re: Digital PS4 Games Get Discounted in EU Ahead of Days of Play
Ooh, Snake Pass for 9.49 is tempting.
Re: Digital PS4 Games Get Discounted in EU Ahead of Days of Play
Really hope there's a decent discount on Nioh bought The Last Guardian at the weekend but the dreadful performance gives me headaches.
Re: Game of the Month: Top 4 PlayStation Games of May 2017
Prey's lack of PS4 Pro support on launch (even though it has the PS4 Enhanced logo on the box) still leaves a really bad taste in my mouth...

Re: UK Retailer GAME's New Elite Scheme Sucks
The GAME in the Bullring, Birmingham, is pretty much the worst place on Earth.
Re: Review: LocoRoco Remastered (PS4)
Not remastering the cutscenes seems unforgivable to me for the price point. But hey ho, might pick it up.
Re: Review: PREY (PS4)
No PS4 Pro enhancements (even though it has the logo on the box) + reported input lag (as per new Digital Foundry video) = no thanks.
Bethesda sure are shoddy sometimes.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 162
Horizon, raging at newbs when solo queuing Overwatch, and started off on Gravity Rush 2.
Wasn't sure about GR2 at first, but it certainly gets better! I enjoy just chilling out and searching for gems around the city.
Re: Final Fantasy XV March Update Improves Infamous Chapter 13, Adds Other Stuff
I may well return to it one day. Chapter 13 broke me though and I actually gave up during 14. I just stopped caring about what happens at the end.
Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn Still Looks Amazing in Pixel Art
Yeah i think its BAMozzy who misses the point with this one.
I would certainly play it. Ideally on my phone whilst commuting!
Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn Accused of Cultural Appropriation
Move along, nothing to see here people.

Probably gonna play a bit of Overwatch too.
Re: The Witcher 3 Developer Congratulates Horizon: Zero Dawn with Heartwarming Artwork
Love this! Clearly two development teams dedicated to their craft. More please!
