As far as we're concerned, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Horizon: Zero Dawn are two of the best open world titles on the market. Both of them offer settings that are just begging to be explored and are dripping with detail - the kind of virtual worlds that suck you in and refuse to spit you back out. Both games have rightfully been praised for their respective achievements, so it's nice to see The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red sending a friendly message to Horizon studio Guerrilla Games over social media.
On Twitter, the Polish outfit congratulated the Dutch dev on its recent launch, writing: "We're loving #HorizonZeroDawn, congratz to the @Guerrilla team and a high five from Geralt!" The included artwork has managed to warm even our icy hearts.

Didn't Guerrilla hire CDPR devs after Witcher was released?
As a huge RPG fan this gen has been awesome!
@viciousarcanum A few, yeah.
Nice. I'm expecting to like Horizon more than I did Witcher 3 though. Hope so anyway!
Very cute. Horizon is definitely on my to-buy list. Then again, so is The Witcher 3. It's hard to keep up with all these games!
Game recognize game.
Definitely two of the best games on PS4.
I'm really excited on getting both Horizon and BotW. This year is shaping up to be the best for Sony and Nintendo (and Microsoft for their customer support. Though their exclusives are bit "lacking" when compared to this year's PS4 and Switch exclusive lineup).
Love this! Clearly two development teams dedicated to their craft. More please!
This is how gaming should be! Fun, friendship and just having happy times! Can't wait for cyberpunk and possibly new killzonr with epic chunky story campaign!!
Nothing wrong with congratulating a company on a new release. Horizon is loads of fun.
now let's go play soccer. poland vs Holland.I love Dutch soccer.robben
Nice to see company's respecting each other
It goes without saying that most developers probably have enormous respect for each other, especially in the AAA space because they know how incredibly difficult and tiring it can be.
You just know Geralt would woo Aloy.
Nice touch.
Shameless Witcher plug by CDPR there, riding on Horizons wave of hype.
It's funny seeing Horizon mentioned with all these games like Zelda, The Witcher or Skyrim, which I've seen a couple times, because being honest the more I've played it and especially at areas in the world that I reached last night, I don't feel like it really compares to any of these games. I think The Last of Us might to some degree be a more apt comparison. Hell I was even reminded of certain areas in Gears of War 3. I guess from the gameplay perspective it tries to crib from The Witcher a bit but the TLoU vibe I get from time to time is very strong.
@kyleforrester87
Nah, what happened is Shu Yoshida gave a call to CDPR headquarters and said 'we already snuck in a plug for Horizon earlier when we pretended to congratulate Nintendo on its success with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We got a whole lot of cash ready to send your way if you don't mind helping us advertise our new IP by piggybacking off your game (which also reviewed better) as well.' And that's why this cool piece of art was created.
On the real though, it's nice to see other devs acknowledge the success of different studios because they all know the stress that goes into it and when you have a new IP I imagine the stress is that much greater. Been loving what I've played of Horizon, a little over 20 hours and it's on pace to top Killzone 2 (a game I do consider a genuine classic) as my favorite game from Guerrilla.
Nice to see!!!
And just like that, thousands of people get a new tattoo. That's really nice!!!!
So far I'm liking HZD much more than the witcher. Pacing is better, as is the combat, as is the balance between fighting, exploring and talking.
Agreed that Geralt would woo Aloy.
But why is he stabbing her?
