Re: Final Fantasy X Was the 'Ultimate Perfection' of the Series, Says Dragon Quest Creator

djhegzy

Favourite game in the series and probably my favourite game of all time if not top 3:
Characters are great, all fleshed out and interesting .

Story was fantastic and shed a tear as a teen the first time playing it.

Love the battle system to me is near perfect - and crucially the best implementation of summons, being able to control the Aeons. On replay though the main story is too easy!

Its a little too linear but Atleast had great gear and items/secrets to find. Would love a remake and it expanded upon 🥵

Music is amazing also, To Zanerkand and suteki da ne are fantastic tracks.

Think rebirth was near perfect in terms of a middle ground with combat, i dont know what else square can do for sales, ff7 istheir biggest franchise and rebirth is a great game but didnt do the numbers.

Square have been chasing western action RPGS for years and poorly, the pendulum is swinging back towards turn based so hopefully they adjust quickly

Re: Square Enix's New AAA Games Are Being Trounced by Final Fantasy 14

@savarunl I really enjoyed 15 for 4/5ths of the game, but its one of those in hindsight had a lot of issues, the combat was far too basic, no loot system etc, feels like a beta game. I think the story was okay, if it had better mechanics around it. I am in no rush to ever reply it again though

Re: Rise of the Ronin (PS5) - A Safe, Outdated Open World Game

djhegzy

call me old fashioned, but the thought of not knowing where anything is in an open word and stumbling across everything terrifies me, elden ring sounds a drag to me because of that, not to mention the impossible combat. i dont care how you come about side quests as long as they are fun, the biggest downfall sounds like the story. i think ff7 rebirth did such a good job having great story moments as well as an open world full of fun activities.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give The Witcher 3 PS5 Version?

djhegzy

Can someone explain the combat thing to me? I always have enjoyed the combat, feels fair and takes a little bit of skill but not too difficult. Would much rather the way it is than something like eldenring/blood bourne which is just wayyy to difficult for me.
Only thing could be better is locking on and the weight of impact, but the finishers etc are great. Only directly comparable game is skyrim where the combat is a complete joke actually made me turn it off.

Re: Reaction: PS Plus’ Revamp Is Hours Away, But Sony Still Has a Game Pass Problem

djhegzy

I got 6 months free gamepass with my new broadband this month, so trying it out on my laptop. Very very little worth playing for me, octopath traveller i am playing through, other than that, maybe forza.

I think everyone is bigging gamepass up too much, there was nothing of note at Microsofts press conference today, as shogunrok said, everything looked a bit cheap. i dont think so y have anything to worry about

Re: Gran Turismo 7 Will Require an Online Connection on PS5, PS4 to Prevent Cheating

Why does anyone care? More outrage for the sake of outrage, cmon it's not 1998 your ps5 is going to be connected to the internet at all times. I would imagine single player just needs to check intermittently for your save file and it wont matter too kuch if you dont have fast internet.

If thats a reason not to buy a game though, you have little to be bothering you

Re: Turn-Based JRPG Astria Ascending Attacks PS5, PS4 on 30th September

@arra1213 agree, we know most games are going to be on gamepass for free now. I think they are hoping all media outlets do the same to force sonys hand to do something similar. Think its unfair to the devs though, not sure how it is sustainable.

but yeah I come here for the PS news and I know i will have to pay fr my games without being reminded every article.
