Ghost Town is not horror, it's not even spooky by my standards and I'm no horror fan in VR (Resident Evil Village is too much for me). I played it for about 2 hours on a VR PC and IMO it's awesome. Great atmosphere, tiny bit spooky, no jump scares (hate them).
I'd sue sony if I had more than enough money for almost abandoning PSVR2 platform. The PC adapter is not enough. The number of games released after I purchased the PSVR2 that I would be interested in is ridiculous almost none of them use the full psvr2 potential. Many of them are just gamelets. Shame on Sony.
Getting PSVR2 up and running with ps5 was a breeze. As for the PSVR2 PC adapter, more than one hour is gone and I still can't run a game in Steam. I'm sure my pc meets the reguirements. What a joke.
Probably I'm not a typical gamer but the Sony's move to offer the adapter may cause some loss of PS5 VR users. I'm one of them. Today I bought a Gaming PC. I'm intersted mostly in VR stuff and I can see myself getting rid of ps5 console just because there is lack of exlusive VR titles. I may even get rid of psvr2 hardware - initially I got the Sony VR stuff because it was a cheaper alternative to VR gaming. But now I decided to get a decent gaming PC and the Steam VR world that requires a decent gaming pc is open to me.
@Neilypoos Get an IR illuminator - a cheap one from alliexpress will do. I had problems with scanning, since I got the illuminator, the problem became rare. Just search Alliexpress for IR illuminator for VR platforms. I can even play in a complete dark now.
@get2sammyb: Well that's my impression. I don't think I ever felt so let down by a company selling their product. One of the main reasons I bought PS5 was VR. *uck them. At the same time I'm not sure why this failed. IMHO it is a great platform and I am the one who is more on the traditional path of gaming (I'm way over 50) but it seems to me that majority of younger players are even more conservative.
@get2sammyb: Well, you know what he meant, actually shame on pushsquare for going easy on Sony for almost abandoning the psvr2 platform. The list of big VR games relases in the last couple of months is ridiculous. Honestly I don't understand it. And I don't understand why the tech was not embraced from the very start by the players as it deserved to be. It's a great platform.
It's an irony, I'm 57 old guy who thinks VR is the best thing that happened to the gaming industry. VR rekindled my love for gaming. Suprised that it is such a niche thing.
*holes! Ok, I was never happy when I had to have an account in order to play a game - but I don't think I ever refused to register because simply I just wanted to play the game. This reaction is ridicilous and pathetic.
I'm blown away, several minutes into play, amazing. Horizon in VR is fantastic, this so far seems even better. Here is a 50 years old gamer and this is a new experience.
Completely gave up trying to buy PS5 in the Czech rep for standard price from a local shop. The PS5 launch is a farce and you guys from pushsquare should stress this ridicuouls state of things more instead of playing the usual role of fanboys
Have no idea how many units were available in Czech rep, clearly not enough. I preordered 17/9 and received some weeks later an e-mail telling me that I will get my unit in February. But what is sad is the number of adds on the local second hand web stores with prices (for units bought locally) that are double or even triple of the original price. And it seems like there is zero availability on the local webshops. So much for the launch here.
I keep wondering, why so many people call Dreams a game. Years ago I bought Reason from Propellerhead. I knew I did not buy music - I bought a music creator software. During several years I listened to quite a few songs created by other users of Reason. Only really a few really got me interested, the rest was unoriginal, mediocre or bad including my stuff It takes a lot of talent and dedication to create something good and original plus in the case of games it takes a lot, I mean a lot of time to create a game. I guess many "players" of Dreams will wake up from a dream when they try Dreams and the reality won't be the same as this hype.
Don't really understand the "frustration and insecurity". Never cared about exclusives being exclusive. I'm a casual player and the reason I bought PS4 was that I don't have to have a powerfull PC in order to play new games year after year - I'm sure this is a big reason for many people. My ps4 is about 6 years old and still working well (the only thing I don't like is the occasional fan noise). I doubt that I could play well new games with a 6 years old PC unless it was at the time of purchase an expensive top end machine. Although some titles have performance problems, the PS4 games I have bought so far run mostly very well or well enough.
I love puzzles, love Room games (Room 3 is fantastic), I also like the physical puzzles, like Hanayama. In spite of this I did not buy Witness because I don't like the puzzle concept in the game - a 2-dimensional board. I smell repetition. There are supposed to be over 500 puzzles - that's what strikes me, no way there is no repetition because to come up with an original puzzle it takes time and lot of talent. BTW, I bought Talos but got bored with it because of the repetition.
Undecided, but from what I read I think I will pass on this first generation of PSVR. I looks like the VR needs more powerful hw and better resolution, not going to buy PS Pro because of that - not sure it would change anything.

Nice, I will definitely jump back in VR.

Re: PS5 Puzzler Lumines Arise Is Looking Incredible in New Overview Video
Looks like I'm one of the few who thinks that it does not look beautiful but the opposite.

Re: New PSVR2 Games Release Dates in 2024
This article is ridiculous. Sony releasing PSVR2 is my biggest disappointment in this company so far.
Re: PS5 Pro Will Reportedly Boost PS4 Games, and Reduce PSVR2 Motion Sickness
VR2 support? I thought the f**king Sony stopped its support. Just judging by the RELEASED games calendar in 2023-2024. What a disgrace.
