Congratulations to the developers for this! Thank you PushSquare for the review. I was shying away from it, but have changed my mind. This looks like an absolute must play on PS5.
This was a surprisingly good selection. I’ve been interested in EA sports FC, but didn’t want to spend the money on it. Tunic is a superstar game too. It’s a Switch game for me, but a good PS games for those who don’t have a handheld.
Answered. Here’s what you didn’t ask, but I’ll answer anyway.
Why do you visit PushSquare and NintendoLife frequently? Because of the incredible quality of your gaming journalism, which extends to writers, editors, video producers, columnists and beyond. Unlike other gaming sites, I find your team more insightful about what matters to me as a gamer. Thank you for your incredible work!
Nothing for me this month, but what a treat for those who didn't play Death's Door yet! It's a polished and delightful indie. I had fun from the first moment all the way to 100%.
I get the frustration from so many other commenters on here, given that it is Fortnite.
However, I can't help feeling excited about a super popular game coming to this Esports part of the olympics. Sure, it's not a game I play, not even one I enjoy watching. But it has a serious pro scene and is a good poster child for what a proper professional Esport shooter can look like.
@LiamCroft great review!! In fact, looks so good that I’m wondering whether I would enjoy this, even though I’m not into the SW movies and series. Do you have thoughts on whether this could be enjoyable as a standalone?
@pharos_haven 100%. Feels like they took the BOTW formula and made it more action, less survival - and less annoyances IMO. No breaking weapons, simple potions, no rain, less early 1-hit deaths. Don’t get me wrong, BOTW was a masterpiece. Yet, I’m finding myself grinning constantly with Immortals and think it’s actually more entertaining.
@sanderson72 pity to hear about the DLC. Still haven’t started it but heard the same from others too. Really hoping this becomes an IP Ubisoft continues to invest in. I would certainly jump on any sequel.
I'm knee deep in Immortals Fenyx Rising, and have a renewed appreciation for Ubisoft. Immortals seems to me like the most underrated title of the previous generation. It's a gem, with solid writing and very entertaining combat and mobility. While it's not the most perfectly polished game I have played, it's one of the most entertaining gaming experiences I've had, which is all I care about.
I bought Origins during a sale and can't wait to start it as soon as I finish Immortals. This article just built up my hype further! I played the original ACs a bunch (especially the Ezio ones) but eventually felt like I was dealing with too much bloat and let go of the series. Really looking forward to Origins, with what seems like a good blend of traditional AC and RPG.
I’m surprised Spiderman made it to the top 3. While the gameplay was amazing when it came out for the PS4, the remaster doesn’t do enough to warrant it a top 3 spot on a PS5 list IMO.
Ghost of Tsushima and Elden Ring deserve their thrones. Horizon Forbidden West should have been in the top 3 with them.
For any dev reading this: please always prioritise quality over speed of release. There is no shortage of games to play. I couldn’t care less if Hogwarts Legacy is released in ‘22, ‘23 or ‘24. Whenever it arrives, if it is good, it’ll be a day 1 for me, plus dlcs. If it is bad, I simply won’t touch it.
I know this may sound crazy, but with this news, EA originals like It Takes Two, the absence of micro-transactions in Squadrons, I'm finding myself disliking EA less.
Never played Mass Effect, and was hoping to clear more of my growing library before giving it a go. Seems like it is time!
If only there was a way to stop the notifications about recording or not a game. Those are ruining the experience with Rachet and Clank. There is no way to switch them off, even after muting every single alert option
@J2theEzzoFri I don't blame you. It was a fluke that I waited so long – I planned to pay full too. It's been a busy weird with less time for quality gaming than I would like.
That's awesome @34B_Lindz!! It does say a lot about the title that you can refer to it as GoT and both of us know you're talking about Ghost of Tsushima, rather than Game of Thrones.
Hope you're both enjoying the game!! Mine just arrived this afternoon.
Such a smart way to get players, like me, to double dip. Would love having the higher performance when on the TV but the portability of the Switch when the TV is not available. Very much looking fwd to Fenyx Rising!
Am I the only one who thinks this looks like the PS4 Spiderman with just a few differences? The trailer didn't blow my mind. That being said, nothing wrong with more Spidey, the PS4 one is a masterpiece.
@MarcG420 Could not agree more! Wish more devs would take note. I really enjoyed getting platinum in HZD and JC3 (my only ones so far) because they didn’t require extra play throughs.
I like the way HZD did it, offering extra trophies for people who want to do the whole New Game + experience as a separate experience from the 1st complete, platinum run.
@rjejr very valid points! Given that PS5 is around the corner, I may wait to see what upgrades will show up. I'm also trying to calibrate how much my wife would tolerate my complete disappearance from the world by having the headset cover my senses.
@rjejr apparently the whole thing can be played in vr
Seems like my kind of game. The whole dogfighting genre has been weirdly abandoned of late. Doesn’t seem like the sort of game Rogue Squadron was back in the day, but seems like good fun and without microtransactions shenanigans.

Re: Riot Games Is Laying Off 11% of Staff, Some 530 People
Gotta say, if layoffs are necessary, this is most certainly the way to do them.
6 months salaries and all the pluses is significantly more than most industries would ever contemplate.

Ok, I'm interested! Feels like a game I'd want to play on Switch, but still really appreciate hearing about it here.
Re: Street Fighter 6 Set to Be a Colossal Fighting Game Hit
This is the first fighting game I’ve been interested in in years. It looks incredibly polished.
The timing really is terrible though. I just started TOTK and have no end in sight for it yet. Anyone else facing the same very wonderful problem?

Re: Ubisoft Bins Four Games, Including Free-to-Play Ghost Recon Frontline
I just hope they make a sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising. It was some of the most enjoyable gaming I've had in recent months.
Also, not a PS game, but will immediately buy the sequel to Mario + Rabbids when that comes out. The first game was a gem.
Re: Standalone The Last of Us Multiplayer One of Naughty Dog's Biggest Ever Efforts
